Akers makes his debut on our latest ScoutCast offering, joining us as our third wheel fresh off the back of the most miserable Gameweek points return imaginable. The Scout Picks were to blame apparently – a cunning excuse that I really should keep in reserve; it certainly seemed to keep Mark’s acid tongue at bay.

The new boy isn’t just on board to present his excuses; he’s here to introduce the launch of the Fantasy Football Scout Cup – another chance for the Fantasy Football Scout team to embarrass ourselves with an early exit.

Elsewhere things tick along as expected, with the “All Aboard” appraising the value of this week’s most tempting bandwagons, whilst examining the seemingly infectious condition of jerky knee when it comes to Mr Bale and Mr Carroll. The weekend preview finds Mark adopting a most uncomfortable position; sandwiched between two United fans before he’s forced to abandon the duty free and beach towels to make way for an overly generous selection of Fantasy Island Risks.

Everyone was a pro man until FIFA got the thumb out and introduced flowing gameplay. Now it's not even close between the two anymore, given that FIFA have all the official licenses and apparently a sick manager mode as well now.

Good morning to anybody who is still keeping hold of Bale. I just read this in this morning's Sun. Straight from the horses mouth.

"In particular, I am referring to Gareth Bale.
My left-back at Tottenham has come through an amazing 12 months and matured into one of the best players in his position in the world."

    http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/sunsport_columnists/3160661/Harry-Redknapp-Gareth-Bale-is-going-nowhere.html

I've just got rid of him for Nani.

Yeah. The article certainly suggests that when spurs can put out there first choice 11, Bale will be at left back. I don't care how attacking he is from there, I can't believe that he would score more points from left back than an attacking midfielder such as dempsey.

bale and maybe etherington are the only one's in that price range (6.5-7.5) that are really going to be solid FF squad players over the long term.

Rather than crossing your fingers with dempsey or giggs or even walcott when fit, i'd say pick up a 5.5er and put that cash into a FW or a 8.0m+ mid

I didn't S'foot but the Spurs fans on here were discussing his merits as a defender and they weren't very positive. His attacking output for TOT kind of demands he starts lm...and for us too of course 🙂

He's not going to be rotated unless for CL, and fixtures?! That's crazy! Chelsea are the champions, they are almost expected to keep a clean sheet every game, and they've almost managed it so far. 2 goals conceded in 6 games in the PL says it all.

He got more minutes under his belt in a difficult away game, as you would expect really but then I guess there are not thousands of idiots transferring Nani and Berbatov out because united were dire
      in Spain

To scrap your plans because of it is a little backward thinking.

Just realize that no 1 right now is from BKK Thailand and he hasn't chance his team since GW 1 !!!! I bet you that the guy didn't even know how big his score is , to be able to rank no 1 in over all. 🙁

Arshavin had a ton of history against Liverpool on his side at the start of the season. But that counted for nothing when they played them in GW1.

Drogba's record against Arsenal is terrific but is no guarantee of similar future returns in the same fixture.

This strikes me as probably a low scoring game. Arsenal are very unpredictable. They are the sort of team to go and lose 3-2 at home to West Brom and then get a 1-1 at the Bridge the week after.

I would say Drogba is a good shout for captain any week, as is Malouda. But to say he's a no brainer pick in what is essentially a 3rd Champions League game inside a week for Chelsea is probably exaggerating it a bit.

not overly happy with the look of my team this week but narrowed my free transfer down to
Van Damme for Toure (most likely points this weekend)
Van Damme for Elmohamady (this would make it easiest for getting Fab back in when fit)
    or Dorrans for Etherington

    any help appreciated

I'd go for the last one. Etherington has been playing pretty well this season, hes got 4 assists so far this season and has K.Jones to aim at, and he is a decent finisher

Inalyse, I'm begining to think like that too. Not sure I'm going to get Fabs back either, you know.

Got Gerrard, Malouda, Nani and Bale in my team and the truth is that's eating into my front line.

I really want to settle with Tevez up front with Drogba, and just play them every week but having Fabs in means having to weaken other areas to do that.

I may keep Stevie G anyway and downgrade Bale to someone like Adam and get Bent in to partner Drogs.

Or ship out Gerrard after this week for someone like Arteta and upgrade Kalinic to Tevez.

I was planning on getting Odemwingie in this week, but now I'm wondering whether to just play the team I have and save the transfer for next week when I should be able to get Tevez in for no points hit or 4 pointer at if most.

        Morning TM.

IMO I can see Wolves wining this game so Figueroa should be benched IMO. If u bench Samba u could always be burned if/when he scores and against aerial threat of Stoke he could easily get some bonuses. IMO he plays. The nest debate is regarding the Toons. I have the same dilemma and asked here previously that Barton against his previous side could be motivated and do something and the answer from some lads was that this could lead to some red/yelow 🙂 So Carrol for knee jerk for everybody who offloaded him this week and the striker could always nick a goal here and then. Plus I can see City conceding finally at home and disappoint all the Toure investors (but only for this week - relax lads he is good signing)

Hope that helps and the decision is yours at the end. Let us know what have u decided.
        Cheers,
