Papiss Cisse and Hatem Ben Arfa offer some food for thought to digest over the Sunday roast, sparkling with goals and assists in Newcastle’s win at the Hawthorns. With tomorrow night’s clash at Old Trafford still to come, our members can now soak up some of the key numbers from the Gameweek so far and get our view on where the Fantasy Premier League bonus points could be heading…
Just need one assist from Rooney and I've won both my H2H's.......
Open ControlsHe has had a load of 2 pointers but looks at his fixtures after Tottenham NEW qpr BLA bol WOL
Open Controls
one of most annoying things in fantasy football is when you hear the score (new 3-1 vs west brom, arsenal 3-0 vs villa, utd 5-0 vs woves) and you excitedly look up the scorers/assisters, only to find Ba, van P, and rooney have gotten an assist between them after all those goals. arrrghhhh....
Open ControlsWorse still is watching the game.
Ba almost connecting with Ben Arfa's cross, then Cisse converting. Ba's nice "one-two" (well, "one" as it turns out) with Barfa, then falling flat on his face before he is able to shoot, and Cisse slamming the ball home. Farcical 😀Open Controls
haven’t done this since torres scored his last league goal, rate my team!

Open ControlsManager said it was just a cramp.

Valencia Dempsey Walcott Siggy Ryo
RVP Rooney Cisse
Bank 0.9m
Lookin at Dempsey -> Bale after this GW.Open ControlsNice Team. Like Baines and Vermaelen at the back
Open Controls
Just a thought here
If you discount the 3 games without Sess (including the derby) McClean has only failed to deliver at least an assist in 2 games Chelsea away in GW21 (lost 1-0) and WBA away in GW 26 (lost 4-0)
In other words, when Sunderland score, chances are McClean will be involved. 5 million bargainOpen Controlsi think for 5mil, if you're playing week in week out, you're ok value. the fact that the guy is accumulating loads of points makes him a serious bargain.
Open ControlsHe's nailed on and his next 3 make him ideal bench fodder. Sometimes less is more and by benching him over the next 3, you shouldn't be missing out on any of your other attacking points.
Open ControlsI have been fairly lucky, I haven't benched him for any of his big hauls (I got him in GW24) but yeah he will be seeing some bench time in the next few weeks. Siggy and Barfa can carry the cheap points scoring midfielder load.
Open Controls
Yep, never even considered selling him since I brought him in.
Open Controlsas we discussed yesterday
Am thinking many of those who shipped him this week are beginning to regret it.Open Controls
Any chance of Rooney, Valencia and Evans resting up tomorrow?
Open ControlsRooney and Evans absolutely not. Valencia? Possible if Fergie opts for Young and Welbeck, but highly unlikely.
Open Controls
Bale for Valencia
Bale for Mata
Bale for sessegnon
Which is best?Open Controlsthe option that involves keeping bale
Open Controls+1
Open Controls
1st one
Open ControlsI have 1 transfer, 1.0 in the bank and this squad
Kenny / Krul
BAE / Walker / Cahill / Kompany / Williams
Walcott / Bale/ Yaya toure/ Song / dyer
RVP / Graham / Yakubu
Suggestions?Open Controlsno need for both BAE/Walker, get Evans for one and upgrade a striker
Open Controls
time's up for all the heroes of the first half of the season
silva,ba,bale(to an extent) ,
umm RVP?Open Controlsagree with most of this, maybe not rvp tho.
so who's going to do the opposite?Open Controls
Blow me down, I am now seriously considering Jelavic and Verm over P.Cisse and Verm
Open Controlsi'm thinking Cisse vs Jelavic also... what are the pros and cons?
Open ControlsCisse - pros - he is on form, playing further forward than Ba, getting good service.
Cons - he will fecked when I transfer him in
Jelavic - pros - also on form, great fixtures,
cons - it is everton and i did promise not to buy a toffee and drenthe was not tastyOpen Controls
I wrote a little ditty on Moses, Sigurdsson and Hatem Ben Arfa. Is it worth another airing?
Open Controlsdo tell
Open ControlsIt is It is 😀
Open ControlsOK. I would like to draw your attention to the curious case of the Cheap Awayday Midfielder, or “CAMF”, as we shall call it.
This is the virulent disease that mid - to low-priced midfielders get, sometimes called Bashful Bonus Nabbing, or Not Tonight Josephinitis, the Josephines alluded to, being the frustrated Home Supporters. CAMF.
The symptoms of CAMF have been well documented. As soon as the player gets on the Away Coach, their shyness falls away like scales from a dead fish, they start to give their Centre Forward the leery eye, they nudge their scoring Centre Back in the ribs with a wink; and when they get on the field of play they come all over with the flashy - but now suddenly accurate backheels - and start spraying around deadly crossfield balls with all the panache of a modern Charlie George.
The incredibly painful effects are well-known, and do not need detailed documentation here. Suffice to say, the prognosis is poor scores, a bench with points “hanging out the back of it”, gnashing teeth, wailing fantasy players, clumps of hair interfering with the proper function of keyboards, casual transfers often done too early, and many, many other sorts of mayhem which shall remain thankfully private.
We believe that the toxic virus CAMF is both contagious and infectious. The first known carrier is a certain Moses, but both Sigurdsson and Ben Arfa are confirmed with it, and we are sure that it will spread further.
THERE IS NO CURE, PRESENTLY.
If your team is dependent on one of these players, the only advice that we can offer is prayer.Open Controlsnice!. i especially like the "clumps of hair interfering with the proper function of keyboards".
i think the cure is to have 2 of these guysOpen ControlsBlimey? 😀
Open Controls
Wildcard!! Attempt 2 =)
T.Krul, S.Mignolet
V.Kompany, T.Vermaelen, J.Enrique, S.Caulker, J.Evans
Y.Toure, G.Bale, A.Valencia, J.McClean, G.Sigurdsson
W.Rooney, R.Van Persie, P.Cisse
Thoughts??Open ControlsGlad I took McClean out for a 4point this week.....
Open Controlsso what's happened with ba? is it the arrival of cisse? is he playing out of position, or is it just poor form?
any chance he'll get it back?Open ControlsWell before today he was playing deeper but he was still getting plaenty of chances, but between world class saves, missed penalties and hitting the woodwork they just weren't going in. Today he's started playing as a left winger and apart from 1 tame effort he offered no goal threat. Cisse is playing centre forward and while I don't think he's a better player than Ba he is a very clinical finisher and seems to be the better option of the 2.

Can anyone else think back to Chris Glover's article on how players last season performed well 1st half didn't perform 2nd half â“
http://www.fantasyfootballscout.co.uk/2012/01/30/a-season-of-two-halves/Open ControlsHmm mentions for Barfa, Gylfi and Taiwo in there
Open Controls
cup game
me: Dempsey + 9 pts
him: Valencia
looking good, if not a slam dunk?Open ControlsI'll try and remain calm while I ask this. What to do with Ba?
Open Controlshttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yYvyh3IIdDk&feature=related
You are not the first.Open ControlsSold him for Holt this week, which was obviously bitter sweet! Ironically to part fund McClean -> Siggy. (ouch)
So I'd say trade out if you've got someone in mind?
Pog short term maybe?Open Controls
Ba Owners.........
1) Draw up a long list of players to replace him.
2) Gradually whittle it down to 5 names.
3) Go on a random name/number generator game and use the player that pops up.
OR
1) Use a freebie each week to pick a Striker from the team that play Wolves.Open ControlsI'm following Doos and most probably going for Ade... he may be a bumbling fool but he will score.
Open ControlsSo if we use method 2 that means I am buying Ngog. I have some sick in my mouth at that prospect, so option 1 for me
Open ControlsLook at his minutes!
Open Controls
Is there a chance for 3 BP for Yaya? If that is the case I am out of PP Cup. I hope his yellow will cancel that
Open ControlsAt least you got into it.
Open ControlsHe should get the three.
Open ControlsOh noooo, why this carp GW had to be when I am in 3 cup games 🙠🙠🙠No chances for Crouch :((((
Well I believe that late teams shouldn't be allowed in to the PP cup

Does anyone know of the extent of Cisse's injury? If he's out for awhile then Ba will most assuredly move back up front. Then it may make sense to hold on to him. Third striker options not looking too positive are they?
Open ControlsPardew said it was only cramp. So he should be fine for next week.
Open Controlsahh, thanks for that!
Open Controls
Newcastle ran out 3-1 winners at the Hawthorns but Pardew couldn’t hide his dissapointment in his post-match interview. He said: “It is a real disappointment to lose Coloccini for what will be two or three games now.”
Two-goal hero Papiss Cissé was also forced off due to injury but the prognosis looks much more promising with Pardew confirming it was just a bad case of cramp that hindered the Senegal striker. He said: “Fortunately it is just cramp. He looks like an old man in the dressing room and everyone is laughing at him.”

I think i may keep papiss now, sorry adebayor.
Open ControlsSuit yourself. 😉
Open ControlsBale and BAE/Kaboul
Open Controls
I am getting Hernandez
Not sorry Ade you were nowt but an annoyance last time I owned you
Chica had much love from me when I last owned him back in October/November.
If he's got his place back, he'll be a great differential. If he gets rested, well that's what a bench is for.Open Controls
So PP Cup:
Me: 19pts with Evans, Valencia, Rooney (c)
Him: 28pts with Evans, Valencia, Rooney.
All comes down to Rooney. If it turns out Valencia doesn't play, Dempsey comes in for him, Pogrebnyak comes in for me. Could be a triumph or a tragedy depending on the Roon-meister. Goal, assist and 2 bps minimum should clinch it I reckon. Possible or am I living in a dream world?Open Controls
