Fixtures

Which FPL players are on international duty ahead of Double Gameweek 32?

A week of international fixtures gets underway today, with Germany and Wales among the countries in action this evening.

This is the final international break of 2018/19 and falls before the biggest Double Gameweek of the season, so there will be a nervy wait for Fantasy managers as we keep our fingers crossed for an injury-free seven days.

This article gives a club-by-club rundown on which assets will be away from their sides during this period, also detailing the dates in which these players will be competing for their respective countries.

There are several high-profile names missing from this list, of course.

Mohamed Salah (£13.3m) won’t be linking up with Egypt, while Aymeric Laporte (£5.9m) and Sergio Aguero (£11.8m) will not be representing their respective countries either.

Alexandre Lacazette (£9.4m) was omitted from the France national squad, while Gonzalo Higuain (£9.6m), like Aguero, wasn’t selected by Argentina head coach Lionel Scaloni.

Marcos Alonso (£6.4m), Cesar Azpilicueta (£6.3m) and Jonny (£4.3m) won’t feature for Spain, meanwhile.

There are a cluster of players whose countries are scheduled to be in action in the early hours of Wednesday March 27 who then face a long-haul flight back from the Americas: Tim Ream (£4.2m), Antonio Valencia (£6.4m), DeAndre Yedlin (£4.5m), Miguel Almiron (£6.0m), Fabian Balbuena (£4.2m), Javier Hernandez (£6.1m) and Raul Jimenez (£6.8m).

It may be, however, that some of those players have been the subject of agreements between club and country to return to the UK before their respective nations’ second fixture over the international break, as has been the case before.

The good news for owners of Argentina and Brazil assets is that those two countries aren’t playing their two international friendlies in South America, although Argentina travel to Morocco on Tuesday.

Sadio Mane (£10.0m) is amongst the popular Fantasy options in action in Africa on Tuesday, while Son Heung-min (£8.6m) will be heading over to Asia for a double-header with South Korea – the second fixture being contested on Tuesday morning (UK time).

    OK, so far, my FH is basically boiling down to;

    A Kane and Dunk
    B Lukaku and Azpi

    What do you think?

I'm going A. or ryan instead of dunk.
Chelsea really poor form, Spurs too but at least Kane has been consistently scoring.

Interesting, thank you. I’ve got Ederson in goal. If I swap him to Ryan and Dunk to Laporte I’m .1 short. Got Luiz too.

So, the best team I can do with my team value if i want all of Kun/Kane/Pog/Haz/Raz

    Foster
    Laporte Duffy Schlupp
    Sterling Hazard Pogba Milivojevic Deulofeu
    Kane Aguero
    Subs: Hamer Bednarek Simpson Quaner
    0 ITB

Milly could be Batman instead. That would mean Bednarek would become Connolly and i'd have zero playing cover on the bench

no need for cover. extremely unlikely anyone you're picking wouldn't play in 1 of 2 matches. if so, you're doing it wrong.

Lukaku and Rash not fully fit throws all sorts of potential spanners in the works!!

          Zaha, Batman, Jimenez, Vardy

Worst case scenario, you will have to pick Higuain

Ok so I agree there are others that can be brought in but I def don’t prefer them.
Jimi I may be getting anyway and the CRY boys I’m not sure how much I trust their ceiling to be very high. Don’t get me started on Higuaín - has been useless for me as an owner

I know what you’re saying. Could do with rashford being fit and Lukaku injured to be honest so that Rashford goes back up top. Otherwise, with lukaku in the side Rashford doesn’t seem as effective FPL wise.

With 5m ITB? i'd really get Kane in. He can score against anyone and a double too good to pass on. Maybe Luiz > Lindelof and Jimenez > Kane?

Chelsea poor form and Jimenez might only play 1 game GW32 with Internationals before and FA cup after

I'm really thinking outside the box with this shout. Zinchenko for City? He would help me get Kane in and I could swap Ederson for Kepa too. I've just looked in to a few of his last games and he started 4. Last one he didn't start (Delph) against Swansea losing 2-0 came on 3-2. His competition is Mendy & Delph. Hows Mendy holding up anyone know? Basically how many minutes do you reckon he will get?

    Cheers lads

As a city fan, Zinchenko has been one of our best players recently and is pretty nailed - Delph was very poor against Swansea. Only worry is he doesn't pick up many points, plays LB but doesn't get clean sheet points

    Ederson
    Luiz Smalling Duffy Schlupp
    Sterling Hazard Pogba
    Kane Aguero Zaha

    B)
    Ederson
    Luiz Lindelof Duffy Tomkins
    Sterling Hazard Pogba
    Kane Aguero Rashford

Basically its a choice between Zaha and a better defence or Rashford and a cheaper defence.

Bit weird that players who have 'left' the game are selectable through the app but not the browser version. What sort of nonsense is that?

What's the FFS RMT points total for your FH32 team? 126.72 here. Not sure what to expect but I'm guessing most teams will be in the 115 to 135 points range.

interesting to hear if anyone has figured out the highest RMT 11 to get out on the FH, when I looked i was surprised how highly they rate Deeney (over Rashford, Lukaku and Rashford if i recall correctly)

Very similar. Knockaert, my catching up pick, instead of Dilva. Not seen him in any teams and boys on fire ( relatively, I live in Brighton). And whilst I’m about it why everyone worried about Watford and Wolves rotation but not Brighton?

FH this week - load up on DGWers.
WC in 34 - plan for a full 15 with DGW in 35.
              BB35 - with said 15 DGWers.

TC - Salah against Huddersfield in 36.
Kane home to West Ham in 36 as well I think.
or one of your City players in GW38.

Really cant decide between these pairs. Need your help guys

            One is 1) Higuain Mili
Still think Higuain vs the lower teams can be very good. I also got him for 0.1 less than his current price. Mili... never had him but he can get one more penalty, cant he

The other pair is 2) Zaha and Son
Now I dont know why but I have a feeling Zaha can have not only a haul vs Hudds but also get sth against Spurs. Then we have Son - you can expect anything from him.

So what do you say guys 1) or 2) ?

Well yes, injury, but that could happen to any DGW player

Victor Lindelof withdrew because of personal reasons, rather than injury - another very good pick, should be nailed for both games, what do you think?

Personal reason is that his wife is due to give birth in the coming weeks. So unsure on how nailed he'll be.
