David Silva is threatening to become the Fantasy season’s forgotten man.

The numbers don’t lie. A single assist in the Etihad victory over Blackburn represents his solitary Fantasy return in the last eight Gameweeks. Silva has scored just one goal in his last 18 league appearances, picked up five Fantasy Premier League (FPL) bonus points in his last 13 starts. Talk of a niggling ankle injury is cause for concern – Roberto Mancini’s decision to withdraw him in City’s last two outings have merely compounded the growing fears.

Subsequently, there’s been an inevitable loss of confidence amongst Fantasy managers. Silva’s ownership has slipped with significant net transfer deficits over the last three Gameweeks, eight deficits in the last 13 Gameweeks. His FPL value has dropped from a peak of 10.6, back down to 10.0, as Fantasy managers give up on Silva in their droves.

While such a trend looks fully justified, can we really write Silva off as a spent force?

In this latest article for Members, we analyse our own ICT Index scores and Opta’s performance data to assess what’s being going wrong with Silva and decipher whether an upturn in fortunes could yet be on the cards.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Oh bloody hell, these double GW's complicate everything. I have Suarez, Dempsey, Kelly & Enrique from those two teams alone. What do i do with them now.

As things stand I'd be happy with just a Liverpool defender for that double, I can't see much joy for Fulham with two tough away games.

me neither. Dempsey is the double game week king, but previously that's been based on a home game....can't see much joy there.

As for Bolton and Villa, blimey....not convinced there's any points there. May take a Miyaichi punt, but that's about it.

So let me get this straight.

    Norwich vs Man City
    Sunderland vs Wolves
    Swansea vs Blackburn
    West Brom vs QPR
    Man Utd vs Aston Villa
    Arsenal vs Villa

Are the above fixtures definitely happening in GW 34 regardless of any FA Cup/CL permutations.

Any i missed? From those fixtures, i'll probably be able to field 10. So if the Spurs vs Bolton game is rearranged for GW 34, then i guess people will be confident in fielding 11 for that week?

      Aston Villa vs Sunderland
      Blackburn vs Norwich
      Bolton vs Swansea
      Fulham vs Wigan
      Newcastle vs Stoke City
      QPR vs Tottenham

I was looking at that Granville – I tell you what I am more scared of though, is not having him against Wigan in GW35. He has a blank in GW34 so those keeping may get the reward there? The double isn’t attractive for him but I’d say GW35 could add to that temptation and then he is home to Sunderland in GW37. Difficult decision!

If that fixture is added in gw36, you only have 6 players as of now playing that week. So you need a min 8-pt hit to field 11 players (assuming you had 1 ft this week by which you got Howard). How is that good?

RVP hadn't scored/assisted in only 3 games prior to this gw. Yet people captained Rooney based on instinct and managed to do a little better. Same with Dempsey, he's always been a goal threat, and I don't think he will disappoint in a dgw. Not all about stats, dude.

If we go through to the Semi's, we'll have to play Barca in gw34 & 35. That leaves gw36/37 as viable options for the Che-New game.

Has to be GW36. GW37 will be needed for a league fixture if Chelsea reach thew FA cup final.

Hmm, all this clouds my thinking further.

Was thinking of going Skrtel > Baines this week.

is a backline of Baines Skrtel Evans Vermaelen Kelly too much?

Do fancy Baines to do well this week, but maybe Im better saving the transfer?

        Cheers Light.

Haven't even considered the DGW(s) yet. Wk 34 killing me (only 8 players available) is top of my agenda. After my sub order of course 😉

Those double gameweeks will be a right pain in the arse. They're only fun when they're not following blanks 🙁

      these are particularly bad

all four miss a week and then for the double Fulham are away (=pants), Bolton and Villa players, except for Miyaichi and Bogdan are text book meh and then there's Liverpool with the sheep in wolf's clothing that is Suarez.

      Miyaichi - game week 35
      Liverpool defender - gameweek 36

that should just about do it for me.

Think I'll just have Bogdan GW35 and might risk Gerrard GW36, we'll see.

there's definite value in a double game week goalkeeper. Am hoping I have a transfer spare to Bogdan...lots of save pt potential from that young man.

Need a little help for this week!

    For this week:
    Ruddy (ful) or Krul (LIV)
    Ryo (wol) or Siggy (tot)

Also chances of an Arsenal clean sheet? Which can tempt me for a -4 Senderos to Verm (otherwise Enrique will play as Senderos won't start)

    Thinking ahead...
    GW31 - Sorenson > Begovic
    GW32 - None
    GW33 - Walters > Siggy
GW34 - Gerrard & Dempsey > Walcott & Sessegon (Bench: Kelly, Shotton, Miyachi)

Right, well I am happy to have saved transfer this week then. Clearly want to be in a position of having 11 players starting in 34 and a bench full of DGW folks. Keeping my pool defensive coverage now.
Only potential transfer now would be Reina to Hart if Bolton game is confirmed out of 34 (since I have Bogdan as other keeper).
Very much hoping that Bolton Vs Spurs is lost from 34. Those above me in my mini league will have no idea at this stage what is going on.
Watching them coming into 34 with 8-12 point hits or 9/10 players would be nice. Even nicer when I have a bench of DGW's to unleash in 35/36 and they have to take further hits to transfer players back in that they dumped in 34.
    Perfect differential.
