With a couple of assists to his name in the past seven Gameweeks, Gareth Bale is slowly slipping in the estimations of Fantasy managers. The Tottenham midfielder has dropped in price of late, down from 9.7 to 9.5 as the attacking returns all but dry up.

Perhaps it’s the pressure of the chase for third that has affected his performances. Possibly it’s been an unkind run of fixtures that have curtailed his opportunities – Harry Redknapp’s side have fallen behind Arsenal after facing (liv, NEW, ars, MUN, eve, STK, che) since Gameweek 24, in a difficult run that has produced a single victory. Even then, though, in that 5-0 win over Newcastle, Bale picked up no more than 3 points for his Fantasy owners, as Emmanuel Adebayor stole the show with a 21 point haul against the Magpies.

In today’s Members article, we take a look at our own ICT Index and analyse the Opta stats in order to ascertain just whether Bale has suffered a downturn in performance, ahead of an obliging run of fixtures for the north London outfit:

      i have the same two, have the same question, and will probably do vorm. im sick of 'playing the matchups' and seeing my stater get 2 and vorm on my bench get 3, 6, or 10!

        Even I am leaning towards Vrom... But would be very surprised if Vrom gets more than 2 points...

        If he gets more than 2 and maybe keeps a clean sheet, I would be very happy though as a Chelsea fan... As that would mean Spurs drop a few points...

      Young is just a bit to inconsistent for his price tag IMO. You could bring Valencia (who is on form at the moment) and give yourself 1.9 to play with for the upcoming DGWs.

      Yeah I would probably go with that. Young --> Valencia is another option like Bensonly-1 has said but keeping 11m (Aguero) on the bench doesn't seem right! I would want all my attackers playing if I had the choice.

      Plan for 34, don't bring anyone in until then who has a fixture in it. Worry about 36 the week after. You'll probably have a few dgwers already then add one in 35 and two in 36 for a 4 pointer

      TBH I'd go with Rooney simply because he's the latest that plays out of RVP, Bale, Dempsey and himself. All could explode, all could implode.

      I was really disappointed with him v Chelsea (1st Spurs game I've watched for a while). He was shooting from ridiculous areas and not doing what he's best at - taking on full backs and beating them. He needs to stop thinking he's so great and get on with his job without trying to be Ronaldo.
