With a couple of assists to his name in the past seven Gameweeks, Gareth Bale is slowly slipping in the estimations of Fantasy managers. The Tottenham midfielder has dropped in price of late, down from 9.7 to 9.5 as the attacking returns all but dry up.

Perhaps it’s the pressure of the chase for third that has affected his performances. Possibly it’s been an unkind run of fixtures that have curtailed his opportunities – Harry Redknapp’s side have fallen behind Arsenal after facing (liv, NEW, ars, MUN, eve, STK, che) since Gameweek 24, in a difficult run that has produced a single victory. Even then, though, in that 5-0 win over Newcastle, Bale picked up no more than 3 points for his Fantasy owners, as Emmanuel Adebayor stole the show with a 21 point haul against the Magpies.

In today’s Members article, we take a look at our own ICT Index and analyse the Opta stats in order to ascertain just whether Bale has suffered a downturn in performance, ahead of an obliging run of fixtures for the north London outfit:

    Skrtel, Evans, Caulker, Simpson, Shotton

2.4 in the bank. Need to plan my defence all the way up to GW34 to be able to field 11.

    What should be my transfer?

Guys anyone know if Taiwo is nailed on. I got him atm and his minutes have been erratic. I need to play to field a full XI in GW34. I am already planning to save a FT to do Simpson--->Turner for GW34. Ideally I would not want to use a FT to do Taiwo--->McAuley when I would just use for GW34.

Hughes likes Traore too, and they're swapping the LB spot between them.
Traore is currently injured, so it looks like for the next week or so Taiwo will definitely play, after that, who knows?

right i may as well hope Taiwo plays in GW34 and risk fielding 10. I want to carry 2FT to GW35 use one for Ryo and take another 2FT to GW36

Kompany and his injury, would be better to wait until he's definitely back playing.

Verm has nicer fixtures too, along with better attacking abilities.

Already have RVP and Walcott - am I wrong to consider Gibbs as a cheap way into their defence ?

Nope, he's a pretty good option, just not got the overall attacking ability of Verm which is why he's priced so high.

I can't afford Verm, much as I want him, but am tempted by Sagna over Gibbs, despite the price difference there.

Gibbs is competing with Santos for the LB spot now they're both fit, and was subbed last game for the last 25 minutes, so Gibbs may not start every game

Looking ahead to keepers for GW36, I have Vorm and Schwarzer and a dilemma.

Vorm had WOL, Schwarzer has eve/liv

Who to play? I half feel Vorm will score more, but Schwarzer should get at least 4 points as Everton and Liverpool aren't prolific

    Let's be honest gang...

    Facts -

There is no way you can get 11 on the field and and 11 Dow playersngw 36 without at least 12 pts

    So... Taka it from me

    1 don't get Dgw thirsty
    2 get ample players gw 34 I.e. 8 min
3 play the fixtures... A dgw player may not be better than one who has one game !!!

    I.e. it don't mean X2 pts!!!

      That is my thinking.

I should have around 10 GW34 players, then only a selection from the best performing teams for the DGW while keeping the consistent players like RVP.

          *Kirby 😉

And thank you, I hope we're both right! Sure DGW players are good to have, but too many can easily pose more of a risk than less of one.

Best to play the odds and get a level field on players with the punts of the consistent players with a DGW.

I have the same problem. I'm edging toward RVP but 38% in captain's poll are doing the same. I'm only concerned about maintaining my leads in my minileagues so it's the safer bet. The problem is that of the 4 below me, only one has RVP and only one has Rooney.

QPR v Blackburn but both away. RVP has a weaker defence and Rooney has vengeance on his mind I'm sure!

    Prescient, Sir Paulos.

Lennon makes all the difference to Spurs. I'm sure that's why there's the talk about Hazard coming to the Lane, with Lennon so often injured Spurs need a similar replacement to keep the balance of the team intact.
