FFS Cup

The latest FFS Cup fixtures and results

We’ve reached the quarter-final stage of our second FFS Cup of the season.

The draw for the last eight has now been made after the round of 16 took place in Double Gameweek 34, with a handful of ties being settled by the odd point or two.

FFS moderator Rotation’s Alter Ego edged out Lal Toofan (who is now ranked at 750 in the world) 50-48, with his choice of Son Heung-min as captain giving him a crucial extra three points over his rival.

Our highest-ranked remaining manager, HPCAMPBELL, saw off the challenge of aha_berg by 59 points to 44. HPCAMPBELL registered his tenth green arrow in a row in Gameweek 34 and now has an OR of 262.

Our one remaining FPL manager with a seven-digit rank bowed out of the competition. Vulken was defeated 35-36 by Hi Ho Silva Lining, who prevailed despite handing the armband to Shane Duffy and counting Troy Deeney – who was sent off against Arsenal – among his starting XI.

dark91 is now our lowest-ranked surviving manager, having recorded the highest score of the round in defeating Foot Fighter 61-39 – a 21-point haul from Lucas Moura helping dark91 to a seventh straight green arrow.

LOKOMOTIV is nicely positioned just outside the top 1k and he saw off I Member 49-45 in another close-run tie.

Another FFS site user sitting inside the top 5,000 exited the competition, however: Profa Benitez losing by the tightest of margins to Ibra-gum.

Roger150 and Skogen89 were the winners of our other two ties, defeating Evil Elvis and Insanity Later respectively.

The full sixth round results were as follows:

Less of a risk Id say. Guaranteed 90 good fixtures and rotates well with Jota in 37. Ings wont start both. Gray in risk if deulo fit.

With all this renewed interest in City attackers, can I assume many are looking at using their third Pool slot with a defender and chancing it by not getting Salah (or Mane in some cases)?

Is it foolish of me to think that KDB won't start both games of the double due to his exertions last night and the fact he's coming back from a long-term injury?

He was awesome last night. Dilva is playing awful.

      Sterling - Bernardo - KDB - Sane
      Aguero

Should be their attack for the remaining games.

I would've thought it would be:

      Bernardo KDB DSilva Sterling
      Aguero

      1. michudagawd

Yeah that's probably their most likely lineup in attack alright.

I think there's that possibility from any City player - on the other side the role he's playing seems to be helping Sterling (5 goals in 2 games with KDB in there), and in the Palace game they said the slightly deeper role KDB was playing allowed Sterling in on the right. With that in mind I feel Pep's going to include him as much as possible now having only League and FA Cup to play. I'll be looking to get him in regardless of rotation. Only other one worth a shout is Bernado Silva in midfield imo.

I think its a good move, but as a KDB owner id really want Sterling instead.

I'm looking at an Eriksen, KDB, Sterling midfield just because of the numbers KDB and Eriksen are producing. I'd say the worry would be Eriksen getting rested against Brighton because ideally that's when you want him...so Eriksen to KDB might be worth it.

I am scared to bench boost anytime in 36,37 and 38 because if one of your players not play you won`t get a sub, while in 35 there is strong possibility that your players will play at least one game.

That's modern day football for you, lots more moments like that to look forward to. (As long as it won't happen to my team although of course it will eventually.)

I think it is because we are not used to VAR yet.

Pep was mental in celebration. His face after turnover was like 😕

Reminded me of United fans cheering and jeering when the Barca goal was ruled out for offside in the first leg. Only for it to be awarded 1 minute later thanks to VAR.

This is what I don’t like about VAR it is going to ruin these moments of pure emotion like the aguerrrooooo and of course that sterlinggggg one got crushed. Couple of years down the line teams won’t bother celebrating at all. Even when the goal is given it becomes like “oh good”

This could be a major issue actually.

As long as they don't get VAR in League One it'll never happen to me

Morning all. Would you spend -4 to get Dunk and Deeney out from below team? Thinking Dunk + Deeney > Kola + Rondon or Ings.

    Lloris - Foster
    Dunk - Laporte - Duffy - Robbo - Valery
    Mane - Son - KDB - Eriksen - Jota
    Aguero - Jimenez - Deeney

I would just do the Deeney switch for free.

    Leno
    Valery - Kola - XXXX
    Salah - Sterling - Son - JWP
    Aguero - Laca - Jimenez

    Ryan - Tielmans - (TAA/Duffy/Bednarek)

    A) Best option for final spot in XI? TAA/Duffy/Bednarek

    B) Who to Triple Captain?

    C) Anything for a hit?

I'm still considering one as an enabler. Hopefully Gracia might say something (but annoying he is not speaking post-Deeney decision). Long as things stand.
