Starts for Sterling, Aguero and Lacazette but Aubameyang misses out

Two Premier League fixtures take place this evening, bringing Double Gameweek 35 to a close.

Wolverhampton Wanderers host Arsenal in the 19:45 BST kick-off at Molineux before the Manchester derby gets underway at a rain-soaked Old Trafford 15 minutes later.

Raheem Sterling and Sergio Aguero both start for City but Pep Guardiola has made three changes to the side that beat Spurs on Saturday, with Vincent Kompany, Fernandinho and David Silva replacing John Stones, Phil Foden and the injured Kevin de Bruyne.

Bernardo Silva continues on the right flank with Sterling on the opposite wing, meaning no start for Riyad Mahrez or Leroy Sane.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has wielded the axe after the 4-0 loss at Everton, with Matteo Darmian, Luke Shaw, Ashley Young, Andreas Pereira and Jesse Lingard returning in place of Phil Jones, Diogo Dalot, Nemanja Matic, Romelu Lukaku and Anthony Martial.

All bar the injured Jones of those five players are among the substitutes.

There is no Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in the Arsenal matchday squad, with the Gabonese striker and wing-back Sead Kolasinac among seven players to drop out of Unai Emery’s starting XI.

Arsenal say that Aubameyang misses out this evening having had a “small sinus procedure”, while Kolasinac is among the substitutes.

Shkodran Mustafi, Mohamed Elneny, Carl Jenkinson, Matteo Guendouzi and Konstantinos Mavraponos are the other men to make way as Sokratis, Nacho Monreal, Ainsley Maitland-Niles, Granit Xhaka, Lucas Torreira, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Alex Iwobi are recalled to Emery’s line-up.

The Arsenal head coach looks to be reverting to a 4-2-3-1, with Iwobi, Mkhitaryan and Mesut Ozil supporting Alexandre Lacazette in attack.

Leander Dendoncker for Morgan Gibbs-White is Nuno Espirito Santo’s only change, meaning that Raul Jimenez, Diogo Jota, Matt Doherty and Jonny all get two starts in Double Gameweek 35.

Manchester United XI: De Gea, Darmian, Lindelof, Smalling, Shaw, Young, Fred, Pereira, Pogba, Lingard, Rashford.

Manchester City XI: Ederson, Walker, Kompany, Laporte, Zinchenko, Fernandinho, Gundogan, Silva, Bernardo, Sterling, Aguero.

Wolves XI: Patricio, Bennett, Coady, Boly, Doherty, Dendoncker, Neves, Moutinho, Jonny, Jimenez, Jota

Arsenal XI: Leno, Maitland-Niles, Sokratis, Koscielny, Monreal, Torreira, Xhaka, Mkhitaryan, Ozil, Iwobi, Lacazette.

I would almost be inclined to double up on Dunk and Duffy, This is a season defining game for Brighton as their last two games are against Arsenal and City where I do not seeing them getting many points if any at all! Southampton have a decent record against Bournemouth but being a south coast derby you'd expect goals from both teams.

    Aguero vs Firmino for him
    Wilson vs Lacazette for him

To me if salah is benched, it won’t be the end of the world, even if you captained him. I think Burnley city will me 0-1/0-2 so I don’t think there’s much of a standout choice.

Besides he could come on against tired legs and get a late penalty or a late dive.

Basically, if you didn’t guess my conclusion is salah captain 🙂

    Hi, =)

Any ideas to what I should do here? Got no Liverpool-players and only 1 FT.

    Ryan/Leno
    Duffy/Laporte/Dunk/Valery/Doherty
    KDB/Eriksen/Son/Moura/Deulofeu
    Aubameyang/Aguero/Jimenez

Not sure if it´s worth it to take a hit to bring in 1-2 Liverpool players? Not to keen on Firminho/Mane to be honest, more keen on bringing in defenders from Liverpool.

GW36 DS stats, fixtures and clean sheet odds

Last week of the teams which had a SGW Liverpool (615DS) saw off Carfiff 0-2 meanwhile Chelsea (520DS) and Bournemouth (416DS) both had surprising results with Chelsea being held 2-2 by Burnley at the Bridge and Bournemouth lost to Fulham 1-0 at home!

The DGW teams saw Manchester City (532DS) win both of their games 1-0 and 2-0 (to Spurs and Manchester United) and Watford (511DS) beat Huddersfield 2-1 and then went on to salvage a 1-1 draw with Southampton.

DGW35 saw the Mods & Cons top of the table finish as:

    1) Sutherns Comfort (M Sutherns) 2,256 (111)
    2) Utmost Capitulation (E. Maw) 2,242 (110)
    3) 10th Season Lucky (C. Atkinson) 2,204 (108)

Dropped to 4th with a score of 103 which I'm happy with considering I took a hit and had a Captain fail...

So Brighton have a higher chance of a clean sheet than Southampton according to the bookies?

I had pushed Duffy to B3 and have one Southampton defender playing and another on B2 for GW36. I know they only let it one goal last GW but still don't trust them.

Anyone playing BHA defender over SOU defender?

Playing BHA over SOU. Purely because Bournemouth were unlucky not to have scored the last game, they still have quality.

Always useful when deciding which defenders to start and bench. Thank you.

Thinking triple captain this GW (last of my chips). Leaning Salah with Mane VC (TAA a left-field option) - but wary of rests before Barca next week and with Mo in NY. Have Kun so could TC him at Brighton in GW38 - but Jesus might start if the title is already in the bag. Thoughts?

Lots of ifs and buts there. Just keep it simple and TC the player you think will score the most in any given game without worrying too much about rotation etc. Both Liverpool and City need to win every game left this season, I imagine they will play their strongest teams where possible.

Cheers mate. Good advice. I'm overthinking it. Like the wildcard idea of TAA but we'll see if I'm game come tomorrow.
