FPL Gameweek 38 – an analysis of the key underlying stats

The 2018/19 season comes to a conclusion this Sunday, with all 20 Premier League clubs kicking off simultaneously at 15:00 BST.

Gameweek 38 represents the final chance to claw back a mini-league deficit or improve an overall rank for those Fantasy managers who are struggling.

For the front-runners amongst us, there may be more ‘defensive’ strategies employed as impressive ranks and mini-league leads are consolidated.

Ahead of this weekend’s later-than-usual deadline, we take a look at the data available to subscribers in our Members’ area and present the eye-catching statistics that could influence Fantasy managers’ decisions and transfers whatever the approach.

We’ve run down the stand-out stats in every position, as well as looking at the strengths and weaknesses of various teams to assess which Fantasy Premier League assets could have a profitable Gameweek 38.

There will be a winter break next season, late January though, it will be a two-week staggered break so 10 teams play one week and the other 10 the week after. Interesting if this means 39 gameweeks in FPL.

I agree, I'm really not sure a break helps that much either tbh. They need to scrap FA cup replays though, those are ridiculous.

It's a bit of both, Barca, Real, Bayern and even Juve have all gotten much older and are heading towards rebuilds while the English clubs have been in the ascendency.

As long as they don't get smashed by Everton and stay 4th...

Evening all. Haven’t been on here for last day or so.
Plan is to use FT to do:
        Jota > Babel
        To give me:

        0.6itb
        Lloris
        Robbo*, Laporte, Valery
Salah (C), Sterling, JWP, Babel, Mili
        Aguero, Wilson
        (Foster) (Jimi, Doherty, Yoshida*)

Hopefully we get something definitive on Robbo tomorrow but if he’s out would you just leave it with Doherty coming in or bring in TAA or VVD for -4?

        Cheers!

        Defending a 15 point lead.
Should I do a covering transfer here? Thinking maybe Son > Pogba.

        **My squad**

        Foster
        Bednarek - Shaw - TAA
        Sterling - Son - Salah - Eriksen - Hjojberg
        Aguero - Jiminez

        Ryan - Llorente - Duffy - Dunk

        **My rivals differentials**

        Gunn
        Trippier - Laporte
        Pogba - Mane
        Vardy - Zaha

Just do your own transfer, Son to someone other than Pogba..

Just noticed that my skittish, yet factual "Aguero has not travelled to Leicester today" post on Monday night was deleted.

Are the censors on here communists?

They just don’t find these posts humorous which is justified
