Papiss Cisse made Good Friday an excellent one for his Fantasy owners with yet another brace helping Newcastle to victory. Demba Ba continues to struggle out wide, while Yohan Cabaye was the chief creator as Alan Pardew’s side make it four wins in a row:

Papiss Cisse
Only four minutes were needed at the Liberty Stadium for the January signing to continue his incredible goalscoring form. Cisse added to his opener with a superbly executed lob midway through the second half to take his tally to nine goals in eight games since his move from Bundesliga outfit SC Freiburg and is surely set to pick up maximum bonus for the fourth match in succession. Newcastle have now won their last four with Cisse scoring or assisting every goal in a run that has seen them climb to fifth with six games remaining and, with home games against Bolton and Stoke on either side of a Gameweek 34 blank to follow, Fantasy managers are set to invest in their droves once again. Cisse has risen by 0.7 since Gameweek 30 but, after yesterday’s exhibition in finishing of the highest order, another rise before Monday’s deadline looks inevitable.

Demba Ba
A lacklustre display on the left flank saw the former West Ham man subbed off before the hour mark, with early-season Fantasy squad-filler Shane Ferguson his replacement. Ba looked a shadow of the figure who cut through Premier League defences with an emphatic ease in the first half of the season and, without a goal or assist for eight games, it’s clear just how much his potential has dimmed. With Cisse afforded the platform to shine as the Magpies’ lone forward, a straightforward swap seems the obvious route into Alan Pardew’s on-song outfit, with form and fixtures firmly on their side over the next few Gameweeks.

Yohan Cabaye
The Frenchman’s creativity was a crucial part of Lille’s title-winning season in Ligue 1 last season but, prior to yesterday, he had picked up a mere four assists. Cabaye’s passing proved pivotal for Newcastle at the Liberty, though, with a pair of smart assists for Cisse to feast upon – his first attacking returns since a goal against Man United in Gameweek 19. Similar to Cheick Tiote, he was subbed off after picking up a strain – Cabaye made way for Dan Gosling on 72 minutes but Pardew was optimistic post-match, revealing he is hopeful of both midfielders being available for Monday afternoon’s home clash with Bolton.

Swansea Rotation
Brendan Rodgers produced a couple of surprise changes, dropping his two top scorers as he looked to arrest a recent run of form that had brought back-to-back defeats the Swans’ way. Scott Sinclair and Danny Graham were replaced by Nathan Dyer and Luke Moore respectively but, despite all their possession, the Welsh side clearly lacked a cutting edge. With Swansea hosting Blackburn in Gameweek 34 while eight clubs face blanks, their Fantasy assets are likely to be subject to investment, though yesterday’s team sheet will perhaps have some Fantasy managers thinking twice over their short-term targets.

    A. Keep bale and play 10 in gw 34

    B. Do bale to sess for a hit. Field 11 gw 34. Then get bale back for Walcott gw 35. (already have mcclean and money no problem)

Got no answers on the previous page (maybe nobody's interested), so I'll try again, think it's an important decision:

What do you reckon is the best pair of goalkeepers from GW 34 (maybe 36 – esp. the DGW) till the end of season?

to motivate Mignolet? Look at it another way; how often do managers tell the press exactly what they're going to do?

Because it puts Mignolet's position under threat. He's also publicly announced that he's going to rotate the team. It's classic techniques to motivate individuals in a team when that team has little left to play for. Maybe he will make changes but he's not announcing his plans for the benefit of FPL players so I'd take them with a pinch of salt.

Obviously he isn't doing it for FPL players.
Announcements of injuries etc aren't for the benefit of FPL players either, but they're still (for the most part) true.
And what about the likes of Gordon, Wickham etc, who he has said will be given a few games as the season comes to a close? What about their confidence and motivation if they don't even get a shot?

True, those injuries you hear about. How many injuries and surprise rotations don't you hear about? Obviously MON cares more about motivating his chosen first team. Everyone knows Bendtner has a big head - putting his position under direct threat is bound to keep him focused. If Bendtner keeps scoring it's very easy to explain to Wickham why he isn't getting a shot and sets a standard for Wickham to work towards.

I wouldn't be surprised by some changes in the remaining games, but I very much doubt he's going to drop players if they're in good form just for the sake of everybody having a go. IMO Sunderland players are probably about as under threat of 'rotation' as any other players.

(Cue starts for Wickham and Gordon).

He did not have all of them at the same time..Someone or the other was injured and its 4 games in 14 days now...Surely he will play the match against ManC,Wolves and Chelsea(week 35)..

The match I am worried about is Wigan (Week 34).. I want to get him in..But I having this niggling doubt..Bcoz if he does not play I will be down to 9 for the week..

Yes but he has had options every week and besides GW 1 when he was returning from injury, and GW18 when he was injured, he has played less than 60 minutes once, and that was in GW5.
If you think he will be rotated then don't get him, all this does is worry others.

    A. Keep bale and play 10 in gw 34

    B. Do bale to sess for a hit. Field 11 gw 34. Then get bale back for Walcott gw 35. (already have mcclean and money no problem)

Asked this last night, hoping to get a few more opinions. Walcott will be in my team for Bale come GW34. Should I do it a week early so I have Walcott away to Wolves instead of Bale at home to Norwich. In other words, who do you think will score more GW33? Either week the transfer will be for a hit.

Well, I am keeping Bale, who appears to be running into form. I have Song ... who I will keep. I personally think you need both.

      Hmm, probably go Bale.
I see it as being even and if Walcott gets injured or something you'd be kicking yourself at bringing him in early.

Thanks for the responses. Last night most were in favour of Walcott. Guess I'll see how they do this weekend and decide at 11:28 Monday morning.
