It’s back on. Sergio Aguero’s finishing and the toil and creativity of Carlos Tevez come to the fore as City rout the Baggies, closing the gap on United thanks to Wigan’s shock 1-0 win at the DW Stadium. Gameweek 33 closed with a night of intrigue and our members can now digest our selection of the key statistics from all ten matches, along with our punt on where the Fantasy Premier League bonus points will be heading…

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

    Drogba > Yak
    Gutierrez > Sess

    Good transfers? 🙂

    Any suggestions for other options?

wow what is Drog doing in your team! Transfer 2 looks good.
Can you keep Drog and change to Ade for the DGW?

Question gonna get lost on last page. I'll give my answer, anyway.. question was - most underrated FPL player this season...

Song. He has the same number of assists as Bale, Walcott, and Sessegnon and 1 more than Young and Nani, yet has averaged mostly a little less than 4% ownership all season.

Not sure the point of that but hey!

Sorry to only post when i'm stuck but it's crunch time...

I need to catch my league leader - he's been at the top since like GW4 and i've closed a 100pt gap to about 10 - our teams are way too similar now so i need to shake things up over the coming decisive weeks!

caps players are players we have matching...

    Vorm - Bog
    Cahill - Verm - EVANS - Kelly - ENRIQUE
    VAL - WALCOTT - BALE - Ryo - Siggy
    ROON - RVP - Cisse

now i'm thinking of taking a 4pt hit to get 10 for GW34 - it seems sensible to only ship players we have the same and who miss next week. Sooooooooooooo.....

    Bale - Ses / Silva
    Enrique - Turner / Lescott

or just ship bale (hit for a defender rule etc...)

    IM IN A MIND-MARE! HELP!!

Am in a similar situation...clawed back a 100 gap to 10 somehow. Taken 10 points off him in two consecutive gameweeks its nothing. Id be wary of taking risks at this stage...still a lil early in my eyes. That said i am bringing sess in for a hit this week but for surman. U will want bale back shortly...

mmm - i guess, the other suspect is Ryo... They were wary of over using him so he's had a few games of rest, maybe now he'll get full game time back? could be a good diff over the next few weeks, where as Bale could remain quiet...

think sess is required this week but im leading towards just fielding 9 this week and going on the DGW offensive after. If i did Bale to sess then i'd probably get Bafra in for the double...

Without a doubt. I really rate SAF, I used to hate them as a team because my perception was one of seeing them as truly arrogant.

Some players I don't like still, but my view has certainly changed and SAF shows respect and gives credit where credit is due, instead of finding childish excuses for losses and acting as KK does.

            Yeah, no respect at all.

I really enjoyed him being hired and seeing him as manager but he's seriously tarnished his reputation.

You'd never catch Fergie being so downright ignorant and rude. He's got his faults but he has proven himself to be one of the best time after time in so many area.

Kenny has absolutely destroyed his reputation and he seems to be getting worse and worse by the week, if he stays much longer the fans are going to turn against him big time I fear.

    A: Kelly > Kompany : play 10 on gw34
    B: Kelly > Turner + P.Cisse > Aguero : cost a hit and play 11 on gw34 (get Cisse back on gw36)

The team for gw34 will look like this.

    Vorm
    Vermaelen – Evans – ???
    Walcott – Valencia – Siggy – Sess.
    RvP – Rooney – ???

im considering the same move, only just got Cisse in but need some GW34 players and Aguero on form is hard to resist - can allways just get the fella back after!

but to be fair i'd just get aguero in and play 10... kelly is good for GW35.

Thanks Ryan. Just 0.2m to lose on Cisse as I got him quite late. It will be no problem for me to get him back on DGW. Despite his poor away record, I just fancy Aguero on crucial away games to Norwich and Wolves. Doubt if this makes sense...

Aguero has pretty much always been on 'Home form' its his away record that ruins his value and he is playing away in GW34 so would not take a hit to get him in especially for cisse. Control your knee sir.

You only need MUN to lose 1 game, and then it's back in your hands. Pressure will be on MUN now, although as we've seen in years gone by, they're normally fine with that.

Yep and looking at the fixtures we have 3 out of 4 home games bar the Citeh match. All of them are against sides in the middle of the table which is ideal, they have nothing to play for

Yeah, you are still strong favourites. Looking at your remaining games I can't see any that you'll lose, but it's a funny old game. Perhaps EVE is the biggest concern given their form.

      You should.

I'd put you on around 65-70 points post-bonus.

      Reckon he'll get about 55-60.

Hmm, possibly Bale/VDV depending on form, likewise with Ade.
Probably Cisse if he carries his form on, likewise with Dempsey.
Defenders aren't too important IMO, Baines is probably the best choice for it though.
Keep Ben Arfa and Simpson to play for the DGW.

i think GW 36 contenders you are missing are in this order

        Cisse
        Dempo
        VDV
        Mata
        Bale
Ade (rotation of spurs front line is a bit worrying, would be top 3 otherwise)

I could do Cahill out for one of Caulker, Bardsley/Turner or Clichy(rotation risk)

Should I pull the trigger on one of these or save xfer and just roll with it.

I'm rolling with it, but I have 10 this week... Figure the upsides to more DGW players are greater than the downsides of fewer players this week, and don't want to take too many hits. That's been the plan for a while; City's resurgence is giving me pause, but don't want to swap Dempsey for Silva, don't want to get rid of Dave, and don't want to bin either Simp or Cahill for Lescott/Kompany, because they're all DGWers.

My thinking re. Cahill is that I would not be playing him against Arsenal and who knows which back line Chelsea will turn out for the dgw games. I am 0.1 short of getting Lescott so Clichy would also be a risk. Both Sunderland and Swansea have good homes fixtures in 34 and 36

for me the combined risk of Santon not starting and less chance of clean sheets away to an impressive Wigan and not so impressive Chelsea, is not as good as having Turner for WOL this gw and BOL in gw36

Been looking at the stats between Arteta and Sessegnon to help me decide who to bring in this week. In addition to these, what are people's views on their team and opponents? Mine are below.

Arsenal - Not much to be said other than - Bang on form, strong at home, scoring goals (sooo good to be saying that!) and incentivised by 3rd place to keep it going.
Sunderland - Strong at home, but perhaps lacking incentive to really perform? Rotation concerns on the back of a big defeat, and perhaps lacking a fit striker for the w/e.
Wigan - On the back of a massive win - going to spur them on, or is RM likely to rest players for their perceivably easier games? Not inherently tight at the back on the road.
Wolves - Absolutely dire, dire form. Surely they HAVE to win this game to stand any chance whatsoever of staying up? Up for the fight?

    PLAYER STATS
    Points - Arteta 127, Sess 146
    Goals - Arteta 7, Sess 7
    Assists - Arteta 2, Sess 11
    BPs - Arteta 21, Sess 14
Shots on target - Arteta 14, Sess 19
    Key Passes - Arteta 62, Sess 51

Last time I asked, the opinion was unanimously Sess, but I'm really not sure who to go for. Is the gooner in me paving the way for a massive fall? Any comments welcomed, cheers!

I would go Sess, mainly down to the fact he's playing more advanced and against weaker opposition.

You would play Arteta in more games between now and the end of the season

Gooner myself man, and honestly I'd take Sess in an instant. Wigan just beat United, Wolves have conceded an AVERAGE of over 3 goals a game....lol

Tough 1 for sure. Points vaild on both players. To me Arsenal have the capacity to score bigger however, more often then not it's not Arteta contributing, on the hand if Sunderland produce a trouncing (definately possible v Wolves) then Sess is the most likely player to contribute.

      Sess just for me.

Remember you asked this last night and the way you were talking it sounded like everything you said was trying to convince yourself why Arteta was the better option which would suggest he is the player you really want in your heart.

If Arsenal could have been arsed yesterday, they would have won by 10 last night. Wolves are DOWN. Nothing left to fight for. Go sess!

Cheers all. Seems Sess is still the favoured option. I guess since I have RVP and Walcott already, my head will rule my heart and I'll be bringing in the little guy to slay some wolves.

Balo > Tevez for a 4 pointer paid off.

Just wish I brought in Aguero. Everyone probably feels that though.

WOW! When the tables get updated (why does it take so long???) there will be 5 points separating the top 3 in my mini league! My main rival sits right in the middle of me and Mrs China Mag. Our teams are essentially the same, but he still has his wild card. Is there anything that I can do to gain an advantage on him?

Our only real differentials are barfa + siggie (me) v dempsey + mcclean (him).

Should I get Dempsey back Walcott for the Wigan game to match him (better GW35), or go for VDV (better overall fixtures). Remember that he will wildcard in GW36.

Hmm I'd probably get Dempsey in to be honest. Wigan are doing great but Dempsey is in great form.
      VDV is a rotation risk.

Surely Harry has to play his best team from here on in? And that definitely includes VDV. But of course he is always at risk of missing out through injury

You'd say so, it's just with this injury risk too as you say.

I would hope he does though, I have both Ade and Bale and I'm quaking slightly. I'll probably keep them in, then get likes of Dempsey for Wigan and keep him in, then get Cisse and possibly Mata for a good amount of attacking DGW'ers 🙂

Harry will play VDV as he stated he won't be going back to the 4-4-2 formation. This either means a 4-4-1-1 or a 4-3-3

Bardsley didn't go off injured on Monday did he, was thinking of getting him in, is more likely than Turner to get an assist or goal given Wolves poor form.

Bardsley defo has more attacking threat than turner. I didn't hear anything that would suggest he came off for an injury.
