It’s back on. Sergio Aguero’s finishing and the toil and creativity of Carlos Tevez come to the fore as City rout the Baggies, closing the gap on United thanks to Wigan’s shock 1-0 win at the DW Stadium. Gameweek 33 closed with a night of intrigue and our members can now digest our selection of the key statistics from all ten matches, along with our punt on where the Fantasy Premier League bonus points will be heading…

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

How many hit(s) is everyone taking for the DGW?

1 hit this week in prep for GW 34 then 1 more GW 36 for DGW.
Full playing 11 GW 34. 7 DGW players GW 36.

      What will you have?

        Currently a full 11 for GW34 and 1 hit for 7 DGWers or 2 for 8, I haven't decided yet.

Hmmm, depends who for, although I can see both Blackburn and Bolton scoring with them scrapping it out at the bottom.

yeh the option probably not worth the hit considering I'd have McAuley or Turner to play favourable home ties. Cheers PT.

Why would you bring one of these players in? You would probably only play them in this game, and even if it isn't for a hit, you are using up a transfer that could be much more useful for GW36

It's a chance i'm taking, with a Hit mind u, to get in Aguero this week instead of starting 10.

GW 34: Busaky/Andrews & Augero v Moses @ the Emirates & 0. I think this will more then give me back my 4 points.

ok. So its a money issue. That makes more sense. How much have you got to play with? Be aware that cities next two are away. Aguero doesn't score away (but then neither did dempsey!)

0.3 short for Suarez to Kun. Thought that was the best way to find it.
Do you think Andrews holds his place, would prefer considering at home. Yeh I thought about the bad away form, but just have a feeling City aren't quite done with, with Tevez upfront with Kun, could be lethal.

Good punt if you are chasing in my opinion. The two players you are choosing between have similar potential. QPR the team in form, but West brom at home. I wouldn't worry about it really. Your're not expecting either to get you more than 2 points, and will probably not be seen again for the rest of the season!

Was always going to be difficult. I'd have considered Santon over BAE...possibly..but very tough choice!

Thankfully for me it was either Evans, Caulker or Senderos.

Senderos is always on bench, knew Caulker would concede and Evans conceded a Wigan goal, surprisingly I wasn't upset about that though 😀

"Has been" being the operative words. He is our only left back, but was taken out of the firing line for a couple of games after a couple of mistakes. He's back now and refreshed. No reason for him not to play every game from here on in. Especially while we still have something to play for.

    A) Rooney > Jelavic or
    B) Siggy > Pieenar

So, my upfront for gw36 will be :
Dempsey Bale B.Arfa (Siggy / Pienaar)
    Cisse Rvp (Rooney / Jelavic)

I'm getting rid of Rooney for Ade to raise funds, IMO i'd go for Pienaar as he'll play both games.

      DGW team

      Vorm(WOL)
      Baines(FUL,sto) • Turner(BOL) • Simpson(wig,che)
      Bale(BLA,bol) • Dempsey(eve,liv) • Sessegnon(BOL) • HBA(wig,che) • Pienaar(FUL,sto)
      Adebayor(BLA,bol) • P.Cisse(wig,che)

Really hard to say, I'm keeping both for QPR game and judging then. I'd have probably done Bale > Walcott if I'd had the chance, but instead swapped Dempsey due to price rises.

Ade is so annoying it's untrue, can score huge one game then go on a long streak of 2 pointers. IMO, best waiting till before the deadline, keeping a close eye on all key DGW players and then going from there. I'd fancy Bale over Ade though, however I'll likely keep both and get Cisse in for Rooney.

Game Week 34 … just keep getting back and forth banter on whether fielding a full team this week or just saving up for the double in Week 36 is better …

9 starters for Week 34, 2 free transfers, 1.4M in the bank, ahead by 20 points in my league

    Vorm (Krul)
    Verm, Evans (Simpson, Enrique, Kelly)
    Siggy, Valencia, Walcott, McClean (Dempsey)
    Rooney, RVP (Cisse)

    Choices:
    a) Enrique- > Kompany or Caulker … Do I really want to use a transfer for a defender?
    b) Dempsey -> Sess or Silva … Dempsey’s good form scares me to lose him
    c) Cisse and Dempsey -> Aguero and Larsson… would give me a huge boost and I could field the full 11
    d) Do nothing and let the pack try to catch me and use my transfers for week 36 to bury them with TOT, Eve, Che double players

    Any thoughts would be appreciated!

    Kompany, Caulker, Evans, Vermmaelen

    Siggy, Sessegnon(VC), Valencia, Walcott

    RVP(C), Rooney

    Schwarzer, BAE, Cisse, Dempsey

How do I look for this GW? I thought I had a plan in place to get 2 more DGWers but I keep changing my mind on who to bring in. Out of : Bale, Ade, Mata, HBA, Baines, Jellyfish which 2 would you pick? Or which do you feel has the most upside in GW36? Thanks

Thanks for the input guys. Tot do have the best games but they are in poor form right now and not sure I wanna put one of my last 2 eggs in the Bale/Ade basket. Mata is a pretty big rotation risk but I had to put him there as they have 2 home games and if he does manage to play both his upside could be huge. Depends on how much risk I wanna take on I guess. No chance Baines gets rotated again right? right? I might have to go huge at the back with Baines, Verm and BAE then bring in Bale or HBA. Ugh so many options.

Hmm, depends on your ML and whether you're catching or not and who they've got.

Walcott is probably going to be the more popular, I would imagine. He is against an in-form Wigan though, so you never know.

Sess has the better fixture IMO, against a Wolves side who are conceding left, right and centre. He may also prove more of a differential in your fixtures too?

It was bittersweet to write. Bah, humbug.

I seem to be steady-eddy this year, lots of 50-60's but not much too far outside that range. I had a terrible feeling about Wacott finally not being as sh!t as I was hoping he'd be ...

          Should follow my gut 🙂

But I do think top 1K, maybe better, is a definite target/possibility for you this year. This crazy year. So, job well done.

    Is McClean captain crazy?

Can't trust Rooney anymore, RVP hasn't scored in open play for yonks and Wigan are playing well, Walcott is too unpredictable, Siggy doesn't score at home and Swans are off form, Young might not even play.

With wolves at home he seems like the best bet and he is definately capable of getting a haul.

Was seriously considering getting rid of Bale. However after noticing his high scores vs his low scores he seems to do badly against good opposition but does well against poor opposition. I think I will keep as his next opponents are (qpr, BLA, bol, avl, FUL). Spurs will be fighting tooth and nail for a CL spot too.

QPR seem to have gotten their act together and seem like a decent unit now. 3 Outta those 5 fixtures are away and if you look at Spurs record this year its not a pretty sight especially away from home where they don't score much. I'm not saying Bale is totally useless now but I feel his upside isn't as high as it once was and with better MF options right now shipping him could be the right move.

I wonder if this is even worth asking...Bale or Mata for the DGW? or both? Also thinking of magically turning Wazza into Kun...thoughts? 😀

      Bale over Mata

Dont knee jerk just yet... Aguero is just as bad away as Wazza playing CM 😉

Haha, it's so hard because of my love for Aguero....and my despair with Rooney all season. It's always a love/hate relationship with him. Well it seems like it will only be bale this time around...United not going hugely on top has put a damper on my Roon>sturridge plans (thank you, Doos)...I may not be able to afford Baines/Mata/Bale now 🙁

Whichever one doesn't play the cup final.

Personally I think all this speculating and planning for the DGW is of little consequence before the semi finals are played, people are planning now with only half the info.

Was thinking of bringing in Mata for Theo, but today giving me second thoughts. But then again I probably shouldn't get overly swayed by the fact that he scored against the crappiest team in the EPL. That's what he's supposed to do. Not exactly impressive.

Cheers brotha, was also planning something like that...if everything works out I should have a squad sorta like this:

        Vorm/Migno

        Baines BAE Sagna Caulker Evans

        Walcott Bale Dempsey Mata Valencia

        RVP Sturridge PappppppII!Cisse

It's what dreams are made of 😉

I think mine for 36 will look like:

          Krul-2 (Ruddy)
          Kelly-2, Caulker, McCauley-2
          Dempsey-2, Barfa-2, Bale-2, Mata-2
          Roo, RVP, Cisse-2(C)

with Siggy, JEvans, Verm on bench

Yeah, I've been surviving w/o Tony V and dodged a couple of FPL Open opponents who had him as one of the big differentials. Barfa carried me through on both of those weeks, thank goodness.

Tony V has serious skills, to be sure, but has feasted on the bottom dwellers and they don't have many matches left vs. those teams. Of his double digit returns this season, only 13 vs Arsenal was vs quality opponent. Other big hauls were 12 vs Wolves, 13 vs Wigan, 16 vs Wolves, 13 vs Blackburn. 123 points overall in 19 games where he played >30 mins, but if you take out the 54 from those 4 matches, you are left on 69 points from the other 15 matches, or just over 4 points per match.

In a way, although it damages this gameweek a bit, the Wigan win is a good thing.

Means Sir Alex can't get too cocky too soon and starting resting the likes of Waz.

Everybody starts somewhere, he's coming into McSh*ts first team plans, I jumped on McClean after just 1 start and that worked wonderfully for me.

I still will probably end up with the Yak though

I'm not against that at all to be honest, I rate QPR and Mackie at the moment, and I brought in Taiwo last week cause I really wanted QPR.

The only problem is Yak has 2 tasty fixtures whereas Mackie only has one (unless Tottenham are becoming tasty)

And if I'm not mistaken, although I probably am, he's playing at RM?

I just realised I want Liverpool to beat Everton this weekend and it made me feel dirty 😐

I figure if Pool do progress to the final then they'll field a weakened team against Fulham, making Dempsey a shoe-in. It'd also make Baines a must have in that there'd be nothing to rest him for that week.

...on the bright side, you just solved my "should I transfer Baines in or not" dilemma! (I don't feel dirty about liverpool losing.) Maybe then they'll get the number one pick in the draft next season (if this was USA 😉 )

Not really, IMHO. Yes they ran up the score at home on a WBA team that has allowed seventh most goals in the EPL. They should have. I wouldn't contort my team to bring it in as there aren't a lot of bargains to be had in there. I'm actually moving out Hart to get dollars to make other swaps.
