I'd also flag up some new functionality on the site, that won't be immediately obvious to most.

As well as quite a few behind the scenes members tweaks, we've been working towards some on-site messaging: admins are now able to message users directly. When this happens, a little mail icon will show up beside your profile photo in the top right with the message that is sent. This will be used sparingly for now.

Now that this functionality is in place we can start to look to expand it, and probably the next step is notifications for replies to posts. Site announcements could at some point be shown in here, and there are other possible updates that will come further down the line

A few questions for you and Guendoozy:

They'll be able to enter, and if they cancel membership they won't be excluded.

But to be part of the cup users need to be signed up as a member when we do the cut off and set the match ups

No it is not a country-wide, during online shopping I have not had a problem while there is always another option beside the Debit/Credit card which is a Bank account.

Best £17.50 I have spent. Been playing FPL for 6 years and this is by far my best season. The members area has helped me dominate my ML’s (ahead in both by over 50 points) and my H2H league (10-2) hopefully I can maintain the momentum and finish in my best ever position

          Or maybe it's you 😉

I've also found the last few seasons quite difficult. I'm not sure if it's because there are more players, or info is more available to all, or something else entirely but they've been quite difficult for me

            • 11 Years

More players and info for sure, but I'm blaming the introduction of chips due to the variance they bring. I mean I triple captained Andy Carroll one season... My worst rank (so far) is 44k so who knows what it would be without the help from the members area.

Hi Geoff, Simple question: Are the discussions in the Member's Area different from the RMT / A or B / Who shall I play? type of posts answered by people who may have less of a clue than the poster, that for me totally undermine the value of these discussions?

There isn't a Members Area discussion area - it's all the data and tools that are behind the paywall!

That said, there's an option for Members to post comments as Members Only if there is data in them. Members can then have focused conversations about data content and related ideas.

We'll start having more Members Only Hot Topics starting this week or next 🙂

Thanks for the reply. I joined last year hoping to find a grown up discussion where, God forbid, the posts actually referred to the subject of the article and not just another opportunity for another Groundhog Day.

          I'll leave it for now.

Hopefully I can get a new comments system sorted, it's being worked on now. If not for January or early next year than definitely for next season.

That would include having only comments relating to the article posted under it, and a separate place for general chat.

And then all the article-specific chats would be filtered into an 'All' chat, where people who want it the way it is now can still see everything.

Burning a FT on Robertson to TAA is a bad idea right? Assuming Robertson is out. Mount comes in if he is out otherwise.

If Robbo is out I'd probably do it, but that's partly because I rate TAA higher than Robbo more than others do, maybe.

I did exactly this in GW9. I also did VVD to Robbo in GW26 last season with the same effect. Sworn off sideways moves for form Liverpool defence.

      1. Squeakybum99
        • 4 Years
        4 years, 5 months ago

If both fit, I am happy to have just Robbo. Been good and not keen on doubling up which may not the be greatest thing to say with the run coming up. It would have been much more straightforward if I had Vvd or if I thought TAA will have a much better season. Hence unsure.

Man City - Chelsea is going to be the crucial game this weekend, with everyone having so many players tied up in it. My team atm:

    Pope
    TAA - Robbo - Soyuncu - Lord
    Dilva - KDB - Mane - Tielemans
    Vardy - Jiminez

    McGovern - Tomori - Mount - Abraham

So basically, I'm putting all my faith in City doing well - but I'm starting to doubt this more and more . What are your predictions of the game?

I sold KDB > Martial (C) and I'm happy enough with it.

I think there will be goals in that game, but not many of us have defenders so that doesn't matter too much

    2. Fulchester's New Centr…

City to win, but Chelsea to score (maybe more than 1). Not sure you need Mount anymore if you are going to bench him.

    3. pingissimus
      • 5 Years
      4 years, 5 months ago

Like your squad set up - a bit jealous of Dilva KdB combo

I'd play Abraham over Soy though. Think there'll be goals aplenty and Abraham is the most likely Chelsea culprit. Not one much for coverage of EO but he is the most owned player in the game and Brighton do score at home.

What’s Abraham done to get a benching? And what’s city’s defence done to make you think they are going to be solid now?

    TAA - Lundy - Soy - Rico

Doesn't feel like a hit for me. Think double City attack is juicy this week with Leicester Liverpool and Chelsea all away.

Tempters - players you know you shouldn't get but just can't help yourself.

The one who is really jumping out is Danny Ings. After this week it's WAT, NOR, new, WHM. At least 3 of them are on TV too which is always nice. Is he capable of playing 3 games in a week?

6 attacking returns in 750 mins amidst some really tough fixtures is fairly impressive. Also on pens. Got to be worth a go?

Think Hutt specifically said he can't be expected to play 3 times in a week, but if you have a decent bench than I'd get on the Ings train.

After this week! You forgot the plum tie against Arsenal.

The 3 in a week is a bother but given he's got a 75% GI I don't see his being benched in games that are so winnable.

Yeah, this is what I'm thinking too. Saints actually have pretty decent rests between games (they play WAT on Sat, NOR on Weds, and Newcastle on Sunday).

      Pope,
      TAA, Lundstram, Willems, Soyuncu
      Salah, KDB, Sterling, Mount
      Vardy, Abraham,
      Bench: Button, Rico, saka, Connolly

      1m ITB 1FT

      My options

      A. Soyuncu > Chilwell (feels like a horizontal move but higher ceiling for sure)
B Salah > Mane (worried about salahs injury and most in my ML have Mane, but I actually want to keep him)
      C Roll Transfer

      Any advice appreciated

Sterling (C) could be a differential this week. A lot of people going for Vardy, away from home.

I have both and can't decide which way to go.

Vardy has 10 goals and 3 assists in 9 games, compared to Sterling who has 2 goals and 1 assists in 9 games. That's a massive difference.

Heart says Raheem, but head says says Vardy.
