The Dugout Discussion opens for the concluding fixture of Gameweek 34, which sees 17th placed Wigan Athletic travel down the 3rd placed Arsenal. The team news for the game is in, and the sides line-up as follows…

Arsenal XI: Szczesny, Sagna, Djourou, Vermaelen, Andre Santos, Song, Arteta, Walcott, Rosicky, Benayoun, van Persie.

Wigan XI: Al Habsi, Alcaraz, Caldwell, Figueroa, Boyce, McCarthy, McArthur, Beausejour, Moses, Di Santo, Gomez.

A single change from the side that brushed Wolves aside for the Gunners, as Tomas Rosicky comes in for Aaron Ramsey in midfield.

Despite condemning Manchester United to only their fourth defeat of the season, Shaun Maloney isn’t in the visitors squad. Jordi Gomez replaces the Malaysian born Scot.

The Dugout Discussion chatroom is open and can be accessed right here.

I'm thinking of bringing in a City striker.

...not because I love a kneejerk. If so, I would have done it much earlier.

...not because our dear RVP got a 2 pointer. In fact, I might still ship Rooney.

...but because Wigan have put some serious question marks over my Dempsey(c) plans. 🙁

WIG wanted it more than ARS and they will next week too.

+1, people keep thinking Wigan are easy when they're not. I was punished for this by having Walcott and RVP (C) - though I made him captain because I couldn't captain Rooney for fear of another midfield game, and thankfully managed to avoid the charms of Sess.

Fulham will find it even harder.

I brought in Petrov, but was also looking at Mark Davies.
Petrov's set-piece duties and the possibility of penalties swung it for me.

    - Martines is a genious, City should hire him before someone else take him
    - Al-Habsi has the prettiest smile
    - RVP can't take a loss
    - It's priceless to watch Wenger losing it
    - Toon fans must be really happy about Arsenal, Chelsea and Spurs fighting for title "most incredible ways to lose crucial points - preferably at home"

I reckon only 1 I remember him scoring and getting none a while back. He is there to defend too.

Doubt it, on losing side, Verm had a couple off target and no CS. Verm might sneak 1.

So I guess that broke the hundred point dreams of everyone sitting on 60-70 points before tonight 😛

Ah well, I'll be happy enough on 70, despite an RVP captain fail

Ok chaps - question for all you knowlegable types!

I have Eagles.....next week he has a DGW.....I would like to play him (But dont have high expectations lol)

Out of these players who would you bench for eagles?

    Dempsy / Bale / Valencia / Siggy
    Cisse / RVP / Rooney

RVP probablly has the hardest game, but I hate benching him! Wigan may have just played brilliantly but cant bench Dempsey either......Dont want to bench Siggy away to Bolton. Rooney and Cisse have fixtures and form..........on form alone I could bench Bale, but he has a great fixture!

DGW Player V the Rest - Who would you bench?
