FFS Cup

The latest FFS Cup fixtures and results

The draws for the sixth round of the FFS Members Cup and the seventh round of the FFS Cup have taken place following the completion of Gameweek 21.

We’re down to the final 16 Fantasy managers in both tournaments after the New Year’s Day round of fixtures.

FFS CUP

The results from the sixth round of the open-to-all 2019/20 FFS Cup are available by clicking here.

The seventh round draw in full can be accessed here.

Our highest-ranked manager in round six (more of whom below) made it through to the round of 16.

Teddy Brewski, still chasing a cup double, beat robharr to progress to the next stage.

He will play TOMYG84 in round seven.

Our only all-top 10k clash in Gameweek 22 sees Mataatti take on Leggend2: this is the former’s third successive meeting with a manager inside the top 10,000 at the point of the tie.

Our only two remaining site users who lie outside the top 100k and who remain in the FFS Cup, stamfordbridge and A Team Has No Name, meet each other in the last 16.

FFS MEMBERS CUP

The scores from the fifth round of the 2019/20 FFS Members Cup are available by clicking here.

The sixth round draw in full can be accessed here.

An impressive four of our remaining 16 managers – including the aforementioned Teddy Brewski – are currently inside the top 1k.

Our highest-ranked entrant left in either competition remains at 14th in the world after Gameweek 21.

frankiem, who first entered the top 1k four months ago, defeated Emm7980 and will meet prbaker1980 in the sixth round.

ActorJeff and BeckerCallSaul, who have overall ranks of 388th and 586th respectively, also progressed.

The aforementioned TeddyBrewski saw off moderator TorresMagic in the first Gameweek of 2020 and will next play robharr – who he coincidentally defeated in round six of the FFS Cup.

Any ideas on how to improve this?

    Pope
    TA-A, Robbo, Holgate, Lundstram
    Mane, KDB, Traore, Martial
    Aguero, Vardy

    Button, Aurier, Dendoncker, Greenwood

Do you think Aguero will start having just played in the cup?

Aurier to Dunk or Pope to Ryan
      Martial to Maddison (after Norwich)

Was wondering why people go for Ramsdale with that terrible defense now its Fabianski.

Little better option with DGW but those fixtures are crazy, cant see enough points there:
    24 LEI (A)
    24 LIV (H)
    25 BHA (H)
    26 MCI (A)
    27 LIV (A)
    28 SOU (H)
    29 ARS (A)
    30 WOL (H)

Based on FA Cup results so far, there are currently no fixtures guaranteed to take place in GW31.

If Newcastle lose their replay to Rochdale, then Newcastle vs Aston Villa will likely go ahead in GW31.

Otherwise we have to wait to see the Fourth Round draw tomorrow to see if it throws up any ties where a GW31 fixture is guaranteed (e.g. a draw of Leicester vs Norwich would guarantee one GW31 fixture).

If it's a wild card team, why don't you get a 3rd Liverpool player in now?
Just got to decide whether double defence or attack!!
Best to select a team that's best for the next 4/5 games, not the next two, imo
You can then save a FT in case anything unexpected happens to your team, like injuries or red cards, instead of planning transfers

Chaps - what do you do when your bench fodder loses you money?

Have owned Guendouzi since GW5 as my fodder

He has dropped from 4.6 to 4.4m, but I always have other transfers to make

Is there a logic to say keep him anyway at least till the first DGW?

    1. HamezMace
      • 9 Years

Keep them, only there as an enabler anyway, if your playing with a four man midfield I can only assume they’re never in contention to start, and plenty of budget defenders to come make up the other bench spots.

I have 2FTs and considering an FT for Fab or Ryan. Not sure for a hit, possible still

Aurier, Alli to Sarr, Robo worth a - 4?

Will probs mean I bench Robo, Sarr, Lund or Maupay. So maybe just Aurier to Sarr for this week?

Yeah sounds good mate do the other next week, while your here how confident of a clean sheet for your boys on Friday night?? I have Henderson, Baldock and Lundstram should I play them all?? Or bench one for Soyuncu and hedge my bets??

I’d play Soy instead of Hendo

Cheers mate. Pretty confident tbh, I'd probs play him over Lund maybe. Baldock more likely to contribute attacking wise and a differential. I'd want to play all 3 though

Nonsensical to take a hit for Robertson to then bench him.

Which option for the WC my friends?

    A) Snodgrass + Ings
    B) Snodgrass + Jiménez
    C) Fornals + Ings

    Cheers

    Best option here? Thanks 🙂

    A. Pope >> Fab or Ryan (& roll FT)
    B. Aurier+Maupay >> Holgate+Ings

    Pope
    TAA • Soy • Lundy
    KDB • Salah • Mané • Richarli • Grealish
    Vardy • Maupay
