Micah Richards’ hamstring problem is City’s only injury worry ahead of the visit of United. Rafael could be in line for the chop for the Etihad clash, Stephen Kelly hopes to return this weekend for Fulham, while Emmanuel Adebayor’s Spurs future is up in the air after reports of a bust-up with ‘Arry.

Roberto Mancini has revealed Micah Richards’ hamstring problem will be assessed prior to Monday’s Etihad clash with United. The right-back missed out on Sunday’s trip to Wolves with the injury and has played 90 minutes in just one of City’s last five Gameweeks, with Pablo Zabaleta establishing himself in Mancini’s back-four. The City boss also went on to say he’s a little concerned over Yaya Toure’s recent form, with the midfielder far from his best in the Molineux match last weekend:

If Yaya Toure is on form, he is a top player. But we need him to be 100 per cent and on Sunday he was so-so. We also need to check on Micah Richards to see how his hamstring is. Providing he has recovered, with Mario Balotelli back from suspension, we will have everyone.

Reports of a fallout between Harry Redknapp and Emmanuel Adebayor have Fantasy managers on red alert this week. The on-loan forward missed Saturday’s trip to QPR with an alleged hamstring problem and has been earmarked by many for a transfer-in ahead of the upcoming double Gameweek. With 13 goals and 12 assists to his name thus far, Adebayor has played a part in more goals than any other Spurs player but the media is awash with rumours that the pair have had a training ground bust up, with the Togo international unhappy over Redknapp’s criticism of his performances. Any possible absence leaves Tottenham with a striker shortage at present; Louis Saha is also a doubt due to a groin injury, leaving Jermain Defoe as the possible forward of choice ahead of Spurs’ home game with Blackburn and trip to Bolton next week.

Reports this morning suggest Rafael could be set for the chop after United conceded four to Everton at the weekend. The Mirror reckons the young Brazilian was singled out by Sir Alex Ferguson after United’s inability to see out a two-goal lead with seven minutes left allowed the Toffees to salvage a draw. While the league leaders have looked defensively solid in recent weeks – with six clean sheets in the previous seven – Ferguson is now expected to install either Phil Jones or Chris Smalling into the back-four ahead of Monday’s trip to the Etihad, as United look to preserve their three-point lead over City.

Stephen Kelly hopes to return to the Fulham fold this week after missing out in last Saturday’s win over Wigan. The right-back had played every minute of all but one of the Cottagers’ previous sixteen fixtures and, priced at 4.0, afforded a cut-price route into Martin Jol’s defence, but admitted yesterday he was forced to skip the Latics clash after breaking his wrist in the Gameweek 34 draw with Chelsea:

Hopefully it won’t be too long before I’m back playing. I sustained a slight break to my wrist but it’s something that I can hopefully get over and play with a cast on it. I got through the match against Chelsea and finished the game after it happened in the first half so that’s a good sign and fingers crossed I’ll be back soon. I’ll be looking to get back into training this week and get the confidence built up again. It’s a matter of getting back into training and hopefully it will feel good and I’ll be available at the weekend for the game against Everton.

Brendan Rodgers has revealed he expects Steven Caulker to be fully fit this weekend as Swansea take on relegated Wolves at the Liberty Stadium. The on-loan centre-half played the entire 90 minutes at the Reebok on Saturday, despite the fact he was suffering from the flu. Rodgers was full of praise for the defender’s display, going on to say:

How he got through the Bolton game I don’t know, because he had been up all night. He had flu, so for him to be out on the field was incredible. He is going to be a top player and performances like that show why.

Well I have Rooney/Cisse/Tevez and I did Tevez>>>>Jelavic with the idea of getting RVP back in next week. Both RVP and Rooney have got cracking fixtures next GW. Plus I really don't think City will tear anything up on Monday IMO!

Id maybe think about bringing in Cisse for RVP for 36. Stoke are Arsenal's bogie team, plus he hasnt been scoring and Cisse is on a DGW.

Huge game tonight for Arsenal, Tottenham, Newcastle and Chelsea fans. It may not look appetising but Villa vs Bolton is very important

If Villa beat Bolton they've pretty much given themselves saftey. If Bolton lose they could potentially already be relegated by the time we play them. If Bolton win, Villa are dragged deeper into the mire and Bolton give themselves a shot of staying up resulting in two more difficult games for Tottenham.

So come on Villa - and i say that whilst having Petrov in my team.

Of course not, but still.... If Chelsea lose then they'll certainly care about the result.

The Chelsea - Barca game is important for Newcastle. If they lose Chelsea will be all out against them, if they win i can't see them giving a damn about the rest of the league matches, not even against Newcastle.

don't worry , spurs are not finishing in the top 4 no matter what happens tonight

it's arsenla and newcastle written all over it. tbh, i think the ucl game is more important that the villa game.

if che win tonight, they'll be in a with a great chance of winning the trophy and making the 4th spot useless

I don't think Spurs will get top 4 either, but it's definately in our own hands. Win our remaining games and we'll get top 4. Don't and it's Newcastle or Chelseas (depending on who wins tonight).

It started well, then the middle parts made it seem like a drama+action movie.

By the time it ended and I read the reviews, critics were talking about philosophy, freud, the moral choice and Tommy Lee Jones' seemingly random speech at the end to be some great metaphor.

            Meh.

I guess we will know more about Chelsea's likely starters when tonight is done and dusted. Personally would rather ACole, Terry, Mata or Ramires over Torres.

RvP can score any time, any moment. And we really need the 3 points so if we're scoring it's probably going to be the van man.

I think Di Matteo will play the side that plays tonight either v QPR or NWC, but not both. Chelsea have games 4/24, 4/29, 5/2, 5/5. I think Torres plays once.

The top 4 teams are 16pts apart, I am 4th.
Following a 4pt hit my team is as follows:
    BOGDAN / mignolet
    BAE / jevans / ENRIQUE / caulker / KELLY
    BALE / PIENAAR / DEMPSEY / Valencia / surman
    CISSE / JELAVCIC / rooney

I am tempted to do 1 more hit as a gamble but what?

    1) BODGAN ➡ CECH
    2) jevans ➡ TERRY
    3) Surman ➡ BARFA (bench Valencia)
    4) KELLY ➡ JAGS

Don't take a hit. Your team is solid. (1) If you don't want to start Bogdan, Mignolet at home v Bolton has a lot of CS potential. (2) You need 2 CS to make this worth it - start Caulker at home v Wolves; that's got CS written all over it. (3) Will Barfa score/assist twice away ? That's the only way this is worth it. Just play 4-3-3 and start Rooney.(4) Again, you need 2 CS here to make it worth especially since you can start Caulker.

Great advice. Chasing a 16pt defecit i needed to consider it properly but think i can field 9 over miy rivals 5/6 DGW players so i have a shout i think.

Pienaar. He's on form and has both a home game and an OK-ish away game. Dempsey is away both games; Goodison is a hard place to get goals and apart from crap Bolton he hasn't got much away from home. He is also now back behind Pogrebynak. I'm not saying he won't get anything but if you can only pick one I think Pienaar has more chance

Is it a bit risky to hope that chelsea scrape through tonight, so they will forget all about the leage and concentrate on the champions league final? And then lose in the final. Or should I just hope that they lose tonight?

Although I keep forgetting that we are gonna finish 3rd, so tonight doesn't really matter! 😉

Choices considering, would appriciate answers on all:

    Walcott -> VDV?
    Sess->Pienaar?
Valencia-> Double GW midfielder and play 3-5-2 with Cissè/Tevez
Tevez/RVP-> Double GW striker? If so, who?

Wont be doing any hits in defence, have ShawX and Santon and will play Turner @home to Bolton.

      Three from these four:
      VDV
      Bale
      Pienaar
      Jelavic

Depending on who you prefer. I am sticking with RVP so doing Pienaar instead of Jelly. If you get rid of Tevez, then go Spurs mids.

Not sure how many hits ur willing to take but I like the VDV and Peanut move.
The striker transfer is just... well it's the same for us all. It's a punt and u have to weigh up
All the info to make the best call.

If its much of a muchness, possibly look at what ur team for 37 looks like and see who is most important?!

Which forward to drop to make way for Jellyfish in the dgw?

    1. Tevez

    2. RVP

(option 3 would be Cisse, hence i'm not even offering an option 3)

if Ade was fit i would probably lose both... i dont fancy either of em to do particularly well this week...

    opinions please gents...

my amazing plan of having 8 dgwers and then, without taking a hit, having this team for week 37:

sagna(NOR),evans(SWA),simpson(MCI)( BUT IF they beat utd, then kaboul)

    dempsey(SUN),valencia(SWA),pienaar(wolves),bale(avl)
