Two televised games today finally gives us some live Premier League action to enjoy this weekend. Ok it’s West Brom versus Newcastle United and Sunderland versus West Ham, but it’s better than nothing I suppose…

Team news from the Hawthorns has come through and Newcastle name an unchanged team, That means there’s no Joey Barton or Kevin Nolan, and that Andy Carroll partners Shola Ameobi upfront.

For the home side, Chris Brunt and Peter Odenwingie return to the starting eleven as expected.

West Brom XI: Carson, Jara, Scharner, Tamas, Cech, Tchoyi, Morrison, Dorrans, Thomas, Brunt, Odemwingie

Newcastle XI: Krul, Simpson, Steven Taylor, Campbell, Jose Enrique, Routledge, Guthrie, Tiote, Gutierrez, Carroll, Ameobi

    So 1-0 West Brom, another Brunt assist, I think assists like that are really, well not assists, yes he passed it to him last, but its not like he layed it on a plate to him. Just my opinion.

    P.S: In Iceland there are these really nice Chocolate Orange Puddings (Christmas section), for £1 each or 3 for £2 I think. Make a lovely little dessert.

      I was just thinking the same thing about that assist. I was gonna get brunt in but went for Ethers instead, so it turned out well.

      Brunt is in great form though and WBA are having a great season- much better than last time they were up; they are actually getting the results this time. Well done RDM

              When I said stop causing arguments, yes I thought I was wrong and I apologised but as I said, no need to say that. I have mates, yes, and it shows how un-adapt to the modern world you are as a lot of 15 year olds, spend half there time playing Black Ops, me, only a quarter of my time, the other quarter on here. Yes I do spend too much time on here, won't deny it, but the last few days there has been nothing to do and I have been on here more than usual, the snow has half melted, we were bored of it on Wednesday, and we can't exactly have a kick about in the snow, well we did the other day but besides the point.

    We like Jara. Not only is he a nutter, but he's also a pretty damn good footballer.

    If West Brom just dropped Morrison they'd actually have a very good side. Hopefully Dorrans will keep his place when Mulumbu comes back.

    Newcastle have been terrible. Carroll hasn't had a sniff.

                  True..Berba didn't offer much in terms of physically taking out 2 or 3 defenders but he did lay an awful lot of goals on a platter for Keano by just being a good player. I just really really hate Robbie Keane, let me have this moment 🙂

      I had Brunt for a few weeks and he did nothing before that he was getting the points and now I got rid he is scoring points again. This game really shows that a football manager's lot is not a happy one. Just like Ferguson getting Forlan or Hargreaves or Veron terrible even Fergie does not have it all his own way.

          Yup. I've had him on the bench every match this season i think. He hasn't done badly but i've opted mostly for 3-4-3 with my players. Now that i swapped him for Pederson though, i'm gonna have to start dropping a midfielder every week.
