Two televised games today finally gives us some live Premier League action to enjoy this weekend. Ok it’s West Brom versus Newcastle United and Sunderland versus West Ham, but it’s better than nothing I suppose…

Team news from the Hawthorns has come through and Newcastle name an unchanged team, That means there’s no Joey Barton or Kevin Nolan, and that Andy Carroll partners Shola Ameobi upfront.

For the home side, Chris Brunt and Peter Odenwingie return to the starting eleven as expected.

West Brom XI: Carson, Jara, Scharner, Tamas, Cech, Tchoyi, Morrison, Dorrans, Thomas, Brunt, Odemwingie

Newcastle XI: Krul, Simpson, Steven Taylor, Campbell, Jose Enrique, Routledge, Guthrie, Tiote, Gutierrez, Carroll, Ameobi

          I don't agree that Robinson is. I think you should look for a keeper from a team that have no defenders you want. If you have Robinson it means you're unlikely to have Jones, Samba or Nelsen who are all capable of double figure returns. Gordan looks a good bet as does Foster as neither have defenders that attractive (with the possible exception of Ridgewell)

    Very annoying. Everyone around me has Carroll, but a nice Jara clean sheet would have been a big help. Took away Jara and Brunt's CS points, all for a measly 3 point assist that everyone will get. Ugh.

    I thought the rule was that if the ball deviates significantly off of an opposing player then it doesn't count as an assist?
