Two televised games today finally gives us some live Premier League action to enjoy this weekend. Ok it’s West Brom versus Newcastle United and Sunderland versus West Ham, but it’s better than nothing I suppose…

Team news from the Hawthorns has come through and Newcastle name an unchanged team, That means there’s no Joey Barton or Kevin Nolan, and that Andy Carroll partners Shola Ameobi upfront.

For the home side, Chris Brunt and Peter Odenwingie return to the starting eleven as expected.

West Brom XI: Carson, Jara, Scharner, Tamas, Cech, Tchoyi, Morrison, Dorrans, Thomas, Brunt, Odemwingie

Newcastle XI: Krul, Simpson, Steven Taylor, Campbell, Jose Enrique, Routledge, Guthrie, Tiote, Gutierrez, Carroll, Ameobi

    Ah well, Carson lost a clean sheet but gained a save point, and Carroll got me the assist. Would've preferred the CS and no goal though.

    F*ck sake, West Brom will never give me a clean sheet will they?

    Not too bad seen as Carroll got the assist, but I'd much rather the clean sheet and Carroll doing nothing (because of the 50% ownership).

        Nah I got rid two weeks ago.

        Which on the basis of the last two games still looks like a good decision. A random tap in and a handball have ruined it though...

        Still all my forwards outscored him, and he has terrible fixtures. Would have been nice to finally get a CS from Jara though.

    it was a handball by caroll and was deflected by carson after his shot, and it gives him an assist?! WTF! and they didnt give assist to Bale it was the same situation ffs, just it wasnt a handball like in this case!

          I'm actually not fishing whatsoever... Tioté lost the ball a fair few times today trying to over complicate things, he wasn't doing that when he first joined, he kept things simple and was mighty effective.

    Good afternoon all,

    I'm contemplating taking a 4pt hit and doing the following:
    Malouda > Etherington
    Elmander > Torres

    This is based on if Torres looks alright tomorrow, but I'm sure to use my free transfer on the Malouda > Etherington trade.

    Torres is in the red on TotalFPL suggesting a drop, however he's shown as Protected... Why is Torres protected? He's not even injured... What are the chances of him dropping in price overnight? I'm never sure how this protected system works.
