Two televised games today finally gives us some live Premier League action to enjoy this weekend. Ok it’s West Brom versus Newcastle United and Sunderland versus West Ham, but it’s better than nothing I suppose…

Team news from the Hawthorns has come through and Newcastle name an unchanged team, That means there’s no Joey Barton or Kevin Nolan, and that Andy Carroll partners Shola Ameobi upfront.

For the home side, Chris Brunt and Peter Odenwingie return to the starting eleven as expected.

West Brom XI: Carson, Jara, Scharner, Tamas, Cech, Tchoyi, Morrison, Dorrans, Thomas, Brunt, Odemwingie

Newcastle XI: Krul, Simpson, Steven Taylor, Campbell, Jose Enrique, Routledge, Guthrie, Tiote, Gutierrez, Carroll, Ameobi

Our Dugout Discussion will be open throughout the day, and is available right here.

      Williamson out Samba (8pts) in
VDV out Malouda (2pts) in for the 4pt hit.

Played Malouda as my captain this GW so he ended up with 4pts... Unfortunately nearly every other player I have has scored more than that this GW...

But, I'd say I am better off, unless Onuhoa scores as I've not got him on the bench...

8 point hit had to to get to 11 players.
Bought Samba, N'Zogbia and Pedersen = 19 points and got rid of three deadwood players. Very happy, thanks.

      Just Arteta out for Pedersen.

At the moment, Pedersen 6 is offsetting Coleman's 1 pt on the bench so a net 5pt gain.

Would have got more if I'd switched VDV for Nasri and made him captain but then if I'd made lots of other decisions in FPL, I'd be 300pts clear at the top of the table

actually its not a 29 Point gain,I would have captained Drog if I didnt have Nasri so that would be an extra 6 Points.

So 23 points Thanks to those transfers

First I have heard of it. Mind you it has been freezing lately on my Dads Ps3, which is one of the big ones (Not slim), on mine it has only frozen once or twice, but so did MW2 and W@W etc. Also recently on my Dads Ps3 Blu ray discs have taken a while to load. 5 -> 10 minutes after taking out. Putting back in etc. But we had the lasers replaced on the ps3 a couple of years ago. Hope this helps, kinda.

Anyone else just ok with having lots of money in the bank? Why should be pressure ourselves to spend lots of money, when cheaper players are the ones scoring?

Let's be honest, from the start of the season to this point, the only player over 10 mil that has played to his price is Tevez.

And the fact is, the players delivering to their best ability are very very cheap.

I have seven mil in my bank with a front 8 of brunt, Zog, Nasri, Nani, Cahill, Elmander, Carrol, and Tevez, With ashley cole and Kolarov my expensive defenders.

Other than the problem of both Man City guys being suspended, I don't see where I would spend that cash, even if Fabs was healthy. I keep cosnidering Brunt out for Bale, but that's not a big money difference. I keep considering ditching a cheap defender for Vidic, but that is a LOT of money in the d-line.

People buy in people like Torres of Kuyt just to have a lower bank, but why? The fact is, Carrol is a better bet than Torres and Brunt is a better bet than Kuyt. But this odd pressure makes it a tough decision, just because we don't want a big number in the bank.

But for some reason I am pressuring myself to spend all this money? Can't it just be ok that I have it all there, or am I getting content too easily?

Of course not. I'm just asking whether or not its ok. Do you feel pressure to spend that right away, even on a player than isn't doing as well as a cheaper alternative? My post wasn't to brag, it was to get general opinions on this.

the key is mate, not to gie a fuk about money- on price changes especially, and on player values, when buying someone. Looka t who you think is playing well and buy them.

dont let it affect you in the slightest. Ive been doing as good with a cheapie team as i have with an expensive team.

Ok, kool. I was just testing the waters on general opinions. Ever since I sold Fabregas and Drogba, I am doing much better with a cheaper team and a huge bank, and I don't know if others think that is a good idea long term or not.

7.4 in the bank and no idea who to spend it on. More if I sell VDV this week.

Just thinking, next season we can expect to see the price of the most expensive players fall while players like Nani, VDV and Nasri go up. There could be a lot of players within a small price range next year.

I get where your coming from, but you could have easily condensed that into a few lines... but I'll grace you with a response...

Buy in the players on form and fixtures regardless of team value and what's in the bank... points make prizes, not value...

Welbeck doesn't perform on the left wing, Bruce shouldn't sacrifice him to play Bent, especially after what Welbeck and Gyan did to Chelsea.

Welbeck didnt play upfront at the bridge though.
He play along the band of 3 behind gyan and lots of the time came to the wings to create 2 v 1 with Zenden and Richardson.

Alot of runs on the right wing in the first half.

Which only backs up what im saying more if you realise its an average position which means if he drifts to the left and the right (which he did countless times) then his average position would be in the middle.

Anyway of course he spent time behind gyan and making runs over the top, but he spend as much time drifting out wide.

ZM did an analysis of a game recently where a winger kept switching wings and his average positon also ended up as CF. Think it was CL.

The point is, some players always start, even if they are off form, Bent is one of them. Look at Rooeny for example. Hes walked straight back in. VDV and Crouch have been doing well but do you really thing Defoe will be dropped? No.

    Schwarzer Carson
    Kolarov Konchesky Dann Jones Coleman
    Nasri Nani Malouda Lee Adam
    Drogba Tevez Carroll

With Tevez and Kolarov out next week, is it worth swapping either of them out (more likely Kolarov) and then putting him back in the week after? I was thinking maybe Kolarov-->Huth, then Coleman --> Kolarov?
