Fernando Torres matched the achievements of Liverpool’s Luis Suarez with a hat-trick of his own as Chelsea swept pass relegation threatened QPR. With Rafael Van der Vaart delivering in Tottenham’s routine win over Blackburn, the double Gameweek gambles have almost paid in full, with another 90 minutes to go.

Here’s our usual round-up for Members of some of the key performance statistics collected so far, together with our punt on where the Fantasy Premier League bonus points could be heading…

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Well looks like no big fantasy things this season. Will turn on cheering for my team. It could be Chelsea's season after all. We are flying atm. The only reason for my smile atm. So the last 2weeks I am gonna have fan and try to go in top 2K. Well I am going for hit.

Rooney upfront for Cisse = obvious one
Bale out (will keep VDV) for Pienarr = the Wol game and he is playing excellent atm
Money related transfer Hart out for Friedel, I would love Walker but I don't like my keepers till the end so I will do ti. Villa and Fulham next, great chance for CS.

Thoughts for this 8 pt hit?

Last week I am gonna try with Kun or Torres or something,

P,S. If anybody needs one week punt Taarabt is the one against Stk at home. That game is gonna be huge and he is well rested.

Well I am fed up with Bale really. He is the reason I sold Demps kept him for so long and he has done nothing. His ownership is also problem too. Pienarr is kind of a differential. Bale won't bring me in top 2K u know.

If Hernandez gets a goal it's worth 7 points usually as he hardly ever has a shot off of target. The system last year wasn't perfect as it favoured some players more than others such as Adam, Modric, Parker, Adam, Barry Ferguson, Fabregas and Adam.

Mmm, I don't know about that. I would enjoy it more if the system that they used actually made sense - some players do so well in a match and don't get rewarded. Players like Scotty Parker and Scholes who often hold everything together but rarely get recognised.

For all those who are chasing large Minileague deficits, here's some hope for you.... I'm not one to boast (I'm pretty terrible at this game to be fair), but just gotta reiterate this for anyone who didn't see it earlier.

I took a 12pts hit this week to bring in:

VDV, Walker, Torres & Kalou & capt'd Suarez.

2,208th this week before bonuses, 9 players still to play (praying for no Chelsea/Liverpool rotation risks for the cup final), I've scrambled some hope in my m/l.

Just shows taking hits can work (but hardly ever does!) It's not over until the last whistle of GW38 😉

is it a bit worrying that Athletics, cycling and swimming has a drug cheat culture about it though. I get there is such a high level of competitiveness but you just don't go there because the minute you do you have lost.

thinking about officials etc. me personally i didn't know VDV had scored until he peeled away celebrating, it was all so quick and thrilling (with the crossbar etc) that I could not be sure at all, i thought robinson had made a miraculous save. i know our TV angle isn't as good as that of a linesman, nor is it our job to focus on the goal line but little things like that do make me feel sympathy with officials. the slow-mo replay made it look obvious in hindsight, but that neglects the speed it all happened.
did anyone else not realise it was a goal? or am i just a bit blind?

No I didn't either, and I don't think hardly anyone in the crowd did either. They took a while to realise they should be celebrating. This is why we need goal line technology - to both protect and aid the officials because sometimes everything does happen so quickly.

Good, not great, but with a big hit.
Second games are crucial as have 9 left, Skrtel benched wasn't ideal, and I fear for Torres now as he may start the FACup instead.

The FA could have waited till the season was over, a bit disrespectful to make the news about Woy public when West Brom still have games to play in my opinion. It could disrupt them, as it did Spurs.
