i mean the way he shaped up the free kick and bent it round the wall into the top corner of the goal, his body shape his celebration...it was all very similar to beckham, hence 'beckham-esque' geddit
It was almost as good as BAE's goal. The best bit was the replay after the game showing him ask VDV if he can take it and VDV just starts laughing, then says go on then.

I liked the Facebook page entered my details and got the league code... I think they only count points from when you enter the league so that there aren't any cheeky late comers stealing the show! I think first prize is around £100

This is my main decision for this week as I have the same two. Spurs are poor away and have been all season - they haven't had a sniff of an away goal since the Arsenal game at the end of February, nearly 2 months now. Villa have Dunne back now and should be stronger for it. On the other hand Spurs played well against Blackburn - I think I'll see how they do against Bolton before I decide.
Had a long think last night about getting Moses for a hit, decided against. (My mids are VDV Pienaar Demps and Valencia)

To be honest i laughed at the C poll, Wigan and Chelsea not conceding much at the moment, it's not really a shock, OK 4-0 was but never saw them scoring much.
Cisse was on top form and Newcastle had only conceded 1 in 6 before the Wigan match, so I thought doubling up on Newcastle and Cisse (c) was a fair shout...obviously not!

City win = get Rooney +1 at all costs
Draw = meh
Utd win = lose all Utd and City players

United still have to go to Sunderland which is never an easy game and after United pissing away the lead against Everton Fergie won't be taking any chances. Only 2 games left after tonight so there will be no taking it easy or heavy rotating from either side.

Some bad decisions by me this week sees me with a big red arrow. Damn. Not buying Jelavic and avoiding Chelsea due to rotation might prove costly. Still, long way to go this GW.
Avoiding Chelsea hasn't made a difference to me really, as I didn't even consider the players that scored well.

Not sure about Ibrahimovic, Cech or Rosicky.
I really don't fancy Czech republic's chances in that group and expect Russia and Poland to go through, in that sense I would take him out and put Akinfeev in. Also lewandowski is an option to replace Ibrahimovic who is playing in a team, that are unlikely to get many goals playing against france and england.
Rosicky, again in a czech team that will struggle and you could look at options like M'vila from france or perhaps an italian midfielder, maybe marchisio or montilivo.
Also meireles is an interesting choice, depends if you think portugal will do well in that group.

Ireland once got 1 goal and 4 assists I think....
he got 2 goals and 2 assists the first game of the season away to Everton. My favourite was he 27 min cameo v Villa where he came on, scored 2, went off again injured and Arsenal went on to win 3 nil!
yep, and those were real assists, not these crappy 'assists' changing their direction by 180 degrees on their way to the goalscorer

Yep Mata has got his 2 extra assists.. Brother had him (c), 30 points!
There was no way that Mata assisted Sturridge's goal... Plus, his other "assist" came off a defender and a keeper before Torres scored, so how is that an assist?
Just checked my team and Lennon has been given an assist for Walker's free kick. Didn't think goals from free kicks earned assist points?!
