Fantasy Football TV Guide: Your schedule for the best video content for GW38+

For 12 years, Fantasy Football Scout has been committed to providing the most insightful and entertaining content for Fantasy managers.

Whilst that intent has never changed, the mediums certainly have evolved and expanded over the years. What started out with text articles and tools has extended to encompass audio podcasts, four channels of social media, emails and video streams.

This season we’ve invested into all of these areas, but video especially, shipping in extra talent to increase output with the likes of Andy, Sam, Gianni and the Pro Pundits joining Joe to offer fresh news and opinion every day.

Of course, we’re not the only ones doing this, and with so much content it can be a challenge to ensure you get all the relevant insight.

Which is precisely why we’ve put together this Fantasy Football TV schedule, rounding up some of the best streams and videos from Fantasy Football Scout and friends to help guide your Gameweek viewing.

The provisional schedule is outlined below (with channel links), but we’ve also created a Google Calendar that you can add to ensure you don’t miss a minute.

The times provided below are in British Summer Time (BST) and subject to change.

What are people’s FH defences looking like?

Martinez / Pope in goal presumably.

    I’m currently looking at:
    Martinez
    Bardsley, Pieters, TAA

      Pope, 3.9
      Bardsley, Pieters, Lamptey, Williams, 4.5

Then a bunch of big fat premium attackers with questionable prices 😀

same as yours but maybe Tieney or Robertson for TAA.

Robertson playing better stuff than TAA right now.

Ye that 3rd slot is the key decision particularly for those without huge TV.

Is it worth going premium for TAA/ Robbo?

I’m considering Tierney too but that means double arsenal defence

      Long Pieters Robertson

For defence I’m tempted by Pope, Pieters, TAA &Robbo if money allows.
Depending on City lineup at Watford and which of their assets I go for.

    Ziyech - Havertz - Pulisic
    Werner

That is scarily good. Unfortunately for Chelsea their defence is scarily as bad. Top signings though and very jealous!

I think Ziyech is the sort of player who will explode fantasy wise. On all set pieces, extremely attacking, and he's scrappy too. If Chelsea start with good fixtures, I'll pick him up as an early punt.

      1. goriuanx

Depends on prices. It'll take a brave man to go without Chelsea assets if their fixtures are a sea of blue.

That price would be a bit high for me. He isn't a good free kick taker and his corners are also meh. Son was 9.5 this season, 8.5 max is my prediction for Ziyech.

      on paper it is

but you will need the two best cm´s in the world to cope with the defensive issues with that line up. Kanté is there but he seems to have ongoing issues, the other ones are way off in terms of world class.

I don´t think Werner suits to play alone up top. He needs a partner, he thrives when he has someone like Poulsen around him, but when he plays alone in that system, like he did for Germany he was awful, not effective as he is not that kind of striker. Problem in FPL wil be nobody is going to be nailed.

if you are chasing you need more explosive defenders

I do see the point in double up but problem with those is that they are 12 pointers at best while Robertson can alone get you that with a cs and assist. At least i would rather have someone form those teams that can get you a goal, like Mustafi/Luiz/Tarkowski

If all starts for City, which is likely i would rather pay for Mahrez than Sterling. Norwich are bad from both sides so nothing to suggest Sterling will get more points than Mahrez this week, actually if memory serve me right, they´re even worse down their left hand side in terms of conceding goals and big chances. Yes, Sterling can get that 20 pointer but so can Mahrez, Sterling have 8 double digit hauls, Mahrez 6, but latter has played somewhat 600min less.

Is it worth taking a hit to do Bruno to Sterling? I’ll be playing Pope so if I downgrade Ederson it gives me enough.

I’m fifteen behind the leader of my minileague as things stand and he has Bruno too. Feel like I need a differential (and a bit of luck, obviously). Also, I’ll wait till this gameweek is finished.

If Bruno gets INJ v WHU, yes. Otherwise you'll be missing out on a 10-pointer...

I know it’s a risk but I feel like if I’m still fifteen or twenty behind after this week finishes I might need to rake a risk.

Is there anyone in your current team (pre-FH) that you've had since GW 1?

Only one player has been in my team all season. KdB. TAA I've had for like 36 weeks, and Pope for like 30 weeks. But KdB has been there from the beginning and never left.

I thought Lundstram was going to be a season keeper but he lost his place in SHU and my team.

Funny enough, from my GW 1 team, these players have made their way back for 38:
    Pope, TAA, Digne, Sterling, KdB.

    Lucas Digne lol.

Big fat 0. I should do less chopping and changes next season.

Pope, TAA, Sterling and Greenwood back in my GW37 team from my GW1 team. Maybe Auba back in for GW38, not decided yet. I also had Digne in GW1 as well as the legendary Zinchenko, Montoya, Perez, Barkley, Dendoncker and Josh King. What a crap squad

I had Barkley, Perez, King and Wesley.

But even so, I think this GW 1 team is the best I've ever had. Salah, Sterling, KdB, TAA and the correct bench fodders in Rico, Lundstram and Greenwood was great.

So we had Salah, Sterling, Barkley and Perez in common but you had KDB to my Dendoncker. Makes me feel like investing in Auba ruined my season from the start :p

                Shoulda kept.

I think the biggest problem is that we often jump ship too early on players. Lots of players are good picks but if they don't deliver in two weeks we jump on the next bandwagon and miss their points and so on etc... Best way to play is to jump on stuff early and ride them out before the fixtures get hard.

Case in point for me was Harry Kane. I got rid after that after 0-0 at Bournemouth. A few games later he hits back to back braces and I'm short 26 points...

Picking the right ones is tough. Legends say some are still waiting for DCL to come good post restart. Keeping Ceballos contributed to me getting 6 red arrows in a row 😛 In hindsight after the travesty at Bournemouth you'd expect Mourinho to win the NLD, it's just how football works. Free hitters.... struggling to narrow down my attack plans.

Only certainty for me is DSilva. Can you make a case for NOT including any of the below to help me narrow it down?

    Salah, Mane
    Fernandes, Martial, Rashford
Sterling, KDB, Silva, Jesus, Mahrez, Foden
    Aubameyang
    Kane, Son
    Antonio
    Ings

Foden and Jesus are traps and a waste of City slots
Definitely not worth doubling up on LIV attackers.
      Two UTD assets probably enough.
Ings may well blank v SHU.

Foden maybe but not Jesus. Norwich leak an ungodly number of chances to main forwards. Giroud and Wood both scored against them and Antonio hit 4.

Let's be honest if you wanted to find a case against any of them it could be done easily.

Liverpool - on the beach, away from home (bad for Salah)
United - fatigue, tough fixture, away from home (bad for Martial)
      City - fraudulence
      Auba - unreliable, inconsistent
      Spurs - unreliable, inconsistent
WHU - could be on the beach, Villa could have it all to play for, Haller back could push Antonio back onto the wing
Ings - SHU def are usually quite good, Southampton on the beach

So don't think about it this way and just focus on who you want most

I think there's better value in a 3-5-2, and the two best striker spots are Auba & Ings, in my opinion.

I think Salah, Antonio and Martial are essential in midfield. After that it's anyone's guess.

      1. TheDragon

        I’m 100% having:
        DSilva
        Fernandes or Martial
        Salah or Mane
        Sterling or KDB or Mahrez

Kane scares me - but don’t think I can fit him and Auba in

If I could get comfortable with Ings being a good pick it would make life much easier

          • 5 Years

It's all about Ings' goal tally really. It's not an ideal fixture but we know he's going to come out hell for leather regardless, and his mates will set him up.

I'm stumped with Man City. Leaning towards Sterling, but who knows?

    4. ritzyd
      • 6 Years

Salah, Mane - one should be enough, get the player who has top scored in FPL last two seasons and leads this one so not Mane
Fernandes, Martial, Rashford - thinking of ditching them all, both teams will need a result so could be a cagey affair, fernandes would protect a lead though - if i had to pick one it would be Martial
Sterling, KDB, Silva, Jesus, Mahrez, Foden - foden no, better options, would personally love to buy the front 3 so sterling, jesus, mahrez but it costs too much, KDB is dropable i think as could sit back in this one. Silva i fear could be limited to a cameo or taken off early - risky and i dont understand quite why he's so popular on here - will likely just go with jesus and sterling personally
Aubameyang - seems a no brainer, good pick
Kane, Son - get kane if you want a spurs player, son nowhere near as much threat in the current system
Antonio - if villa need a result then west ham could struggle
Ings - i'm bringing in a sheff utd defender for GW38

I think the MUN game will be a goal frenzy. Leicester need to attack for a European spot. MUN meanwhile are amazing on the counter and Leicester are really weak at the back because of injuries/suspensions.

    Salah, Fernandes, KDB, Pulisic, Martial

    Greenwood, Kane

Thinking Pulisic to David Silva and triple captain on Kane? Thoughts?

Could TC Dilva for a punt? Reckon he gets all set pieces and people will try and set him up to get returns.

I had KDB, TAA & Mane from day 1, I sold Mane last week and it looks like I'll be selling the other 2 on my FH this week

Only GW1 stayer Ive had is Pope and I just can't bring myself to sell him. I bought in Martial & TAA very early on, and I don't think I can even sell these guys.

Agree with you on getting Dilva (above) but tricky for you to get without losing someone just as likely to haul

Have you found your rivals are having more luck than you this season and you've had to be more skilful to remain top of your ML?

It's going to come down to the individual obviously but this season there have been huge swings for very tight decisions that would have made an impact on ranks, most importantly of all the decision to TC either Salah or Mane in GW24. I'm currently 2nd in my ML and aiming to finish within 30 points of top so that I can tell myself that 1 decision swung the season in his favour

Yep. I have lost 48 points from picking Mane over Salah.

First on the GW 24 TC. And second on my WC where I picked Mane and Salah hit 18 compared to his 0. Not gonna make that mistake again next season. Salah comes in and he'll stay in unless he gets injured or Pool somehow look dire.

To overcome the problem, I've had both most of the season.

Didn't stop me from losing 30 points in a single week by TC Mane over Salah.

I'd argue they looked pretty dire against City and Villa right before the 18 pointer and again vs Burnley and Arsenal after. I'm thinking of just staying away until the busy periods like Christmas when Salah comes in permacapped in the hope that Mane gets rested for one of the GWs

I am really tempted by Ederson and the cheap Burnley Defender double up for the Free Hit.

    Who is with me?

Surely Ederson is practically a guaranteed 6 points. A Man City defender would be better due to attacking potential nd the fact Pope may get bonus but who will start?

Surely Mendy is a better shout than Ederson... he'll spend the entire 90 mins playing left-wing. Can see a double-digit haul on its way.

Mendy at 5.5 seems decent but most advice against it and get 3 attackers

    Replacing #Digne with Pieters ?

Since Villa & Watford still have something to play for in GW38, is it wise going with Arsenal/West Ham defence? Surely they would score atleast 1???
