Pro Pundits - Andy

Should we sell or hold Timo Werner ahead of FPL Gameweek 4 and who are the best replacements?

It is fair to say that Timo Werner (£9.4m) has not started life in the Premier League as Fantasy managers had hoped he would.

Chelsea have scored six in their first three matches but their new forward has managed just one assist in that run.

So the question is: Is it time we looked to replace Werner? And if so who for? In this article I want to talk about the possible options.

As it uses data from the Fantasy Football Scout Premium Members Area, only those with a valid subscription can access it in full.

We're not predicting past points. We're predicting future ones. I'd have started with Townsend if I knew this was what was going to happen!

Guess you can look at the last 3 games, or the last 5 seasons. He will take the ocassional points. Problem is that you have 3 weak midfielders who won’t return regularly. I would upgrade.

Spurs has the perfect squad to play 3-5-2: Great solid CB´s (Toby, Sanchez, Dier, Tanganga) great offensive wing backs (Doherty, Reguilon, Aurier, Rose), loads of options in midfield and 2 perfect front strikers in Son and Harry. Lets see if he changes it

I don't think past history necessarily relates to good advice.

David for example has a pretty weak overall history, but the stats he presents and writes about on here are very good and very useful.

As with everything, you should judge the quality of advice yourself and always make your own decisions.

Don't follow any pundits. Seriously you are doomed to fail. Most of them are there for political or commercial reasons or to influence the group think.

Only youtubers/podcasts worth anything are FML FPL , Wire , Planet fpl and WGTA. Hub podcast is coming on.

My problem is that I have to settle for Ings over Vardy then (maybe not too bar), an ofc 2pt bench players will likely not cover points for potential Son replacement candidates Zaha or Barnes.

Don't know how trustworthy Mou's comments on Son are.

Fredericks being injured makes Barnes appealing as a Son --> Barnes FT.

I'm not sure SOn could come in contention right after the IB against WHU. Then it will coincides also with Bale having gained fitness by then, so it goes an opportunity to monitor how spurs wil line up with Bale and Son and Reguillon

You must have a good team if that’s the options. I would play both

Difficult one, if you have TAA in the 343 then go with that

Do we think the crazy results we are seeing will settle down after the international break, when players will be getting back to full match fitness?
    West Ham 4 Wolves 0
    Citeh 2 Leicester 5
West Brom 3-0 up at halftime, away at Chelsea

Some of the early GWs have looked like pre-season friendlies. Obviously, playing in empty stadiums does not help.

    Morning guys.Thougts on this wc?0.1itb.

    --Martinez
    --TAA--Robbo--KWP
    --Salah--KDB--Zaha--Jrod
    --Ings--Dcl--Bamford.

    --Nyland--Mitchell--Lamptey--Burke.

    Thanks all.

I think Steer is Villa's 2nd GK. I'm not convinced with Zaha and JRod. Zaha has been a bit of a troll for me and I don't think he will play OOP for long. JRod is assisting the assister imo and I don't see him as a great FPL player. You should consider Barnes

Looks good, on a WC I'd have Jimenez 100% tho. Probably over Bamford somehow

    On WC:
Anything you would change, particularly in defence or the forwards?

    Mccarthy
    TAA Justin Semedo Dunne
    Salah KDB Hamez Zaha
    Vardy Jimi

    Button Mitchell Stephens Davis

Semedo to Castagne and Jimi to Ings. Not sure if you have enough to do those moves

Son and Werner owners, which would you rather transfer out this GW?

If Son's on bench, Justin starts

I'd hold FT for the international break

I transferred Werner out. He doesn't seem to know his role yet and Lamps isn't helping.

Yeah, think I'm gonna have to jump on this. So frustrating to watch and Jimenez should bang them in

Saving my FT as I just wild carded, however made the rookie move of spreading funds and now having a rather sizeable benching headache. Does this look right for the weekend? Think Everton will score so benching Lamptey, but benching two Wolves against Fulham seems wrong.

    Martinez
    Justin TAA James
    Hamez Foden KDB Mahrez
    Jimenez DCL Werner

    Steer Podence Saiss Lamptey

I would play Saiss personally over Justin or James. Expect Wolves to bounce back

Morning all! Thoughts on my wc appreciated

    Martinez (4.0)
    Lamptey, Trent, Taylor, Mitchell, KWP
    Fernandes, KDB, Podence, Salah, Foden
    Jimenez, DCL, Brewster

Guys can i get some help about my threelemma that doesn't get me a good night sleep?

    Ryan
    TAA Saiss James
    KDB Son Salah Podence
    Mitro Jimenez DCL

    Bench: Martinez Anguissa Mitchel Lamptey

I am thinking about three options
    A. Son to Mahrez, FT
    B. Son and Mitro to Barnes and Ings, for a hit
    C. Son and Mitro to Praet and Vardy, for a hit

I would go B just because Barnes and Ings have great fixtures, but that's very short term.

Barkley linking up with Grealish and Targett down our left-side is gonna be a lot of fun.

      Martinez
      Cash, Konsa, Mings, Targett
      McGinn, Douglas Luiz, Barkley
      Traore, Watkins, Grealish

That team really looks pretty decent. Villa to finish comfortable mid table. Maybe even top half!

    A. Werner to Jimenez
    B. Werner and Saiss to Maupay and Robbo (-4)
    C. Werner and Mitro to Jimenez and Maupay (-4)

Those are the only moves I'm thinking so it is possible I can just save the ft.
