Reluctantly creeping back into the studio, tail protruding between my weary legs, I cut a forlorn figure for the return of the ScoutCast. Nevertheless, after a two-week break, I brave another half-hour of bile and banter with host Mark to bring the curtain down on my season to forget.

The Samaritans listening needn’t be concerned. I was smiling by the end, if only to see Mark almost on his knees begging me to rethink any plans of Fantasy Football retirement. The very idea.

In between my whining, we give the season a post-mortem, speculate on next season’s prices and assess the tussle at the top of the FPL with another Scout winner still a possibility.

Get this one big miffed of a Scoutcast via this link or use the convenient little player below to stream away.

        Are u kidding - nailed on for 90 minutes against Blackburn as the lead striker - he is in MY team and Im thinking of (c) him - but then I DO need the points and everyone inc my ML oppo will be on the Ag banbwagon.

    Desperately need to catch up 6 pts.

    My team:

    Vorm (Mignolet)

    Vermaelen - Terry - Williamson (Rangel, Evans)

    VDV - Siggy - Pienaar - Moses (Valencia)

    RVP - Rooney - Jelly

    Any thoughts on:
    1. Rooney -- > Aguero (C); this one is obvious
    2. ______ --> Petrov (4 pt. hit) or
    3. Evans --> Kompany
    4. 8 pt. hit involving everyone above

    My rival allready made 2 transfers.

      He'll probably perform better if he's shifted back as it'll keep him on the left where he's best. Having said that I shipped him out and kept Dempsey, only because I have VDV as well though.

    Rooney out for Tevez or Torres?

    Alas, it's the final week and it looks like I have my mini league sewn up. Now pushing for a high scoring finish. Currently 12000th ish in the overall standings, a top 9000 is the aim. Team for next week (after taking a four point hit) is:
    Bogdan,
    Hibbert, Clichy, Enrique
    Valencia, VDV, Silva, Petrov
    Adebayor, Aguero (c), RVP

    How does it look? havent actually pulled the finger on the transfers yet, but it will be:
    Bale > Silva
    Rooney > Aguero

      It's a good trade, especially if you don't have any other defenders to put on for Evans (ie giving you most likely at least 2pts), but if you do consider just Demps > Silva

      Problem with taking a hit for a defender is that in most good cases he HAS to get a CS to breakeven vs keeping a defender that doesn't get a CS, and there's still plenty of permutations where your existing defender keeps a cleanie or the new defender doesn't and you would have been better off not taking the hit.

    Already planning on doing Jelavic-Aguero(C).
    Need to fund the cash to make it happen, should I do:

    A: Rooney-->Tevez/Torres
    or
    B: VdV-->Nasri.

    My Rival has both Rooney and VdV, and is ahead by 3 points.

    Would really appreciate some help, I`m only 3 points behind and need to win this one...What transfer would you make? Should I get rid of Dempsey or do Walker -> Lescott/Clichy? Only 0.5 in the bank so can`t afford Aguero...

    My team:
    Cech
    Huth Hibbert Walker
    Valencia Sigurdsson Bale Dempsey
    Cisse RVP Jelavic

    HBA Evans Kilgallon Bogdan

    Rival:
    Friedel
    Evra Hibbert Bertrand
    Bale Moses VDV Fellaini
    Rooney Aguero Jelavic

    Cabaye Evans Simpson Ruddy

    Who do you think has better chance to win? 🙂

      I think 90% will say Aguero. Perhaps the interesting questions are:

      A) Would you do Rooney > Aguero this week and sacrifice using your FT elsewhere?

      B) Would you do Rooney > Aguero for a hit?

        +1

        Ideally RVP, Rooney & Aguero would be the best front 3 but for most it means a hit and/or sacrificing Jelly/Cisse.

        Currently considering doing that myself - Dempsey & Cisse > Moses & Aguero (c) (-4)

      toyed with dempsey out for a hit myself but hes likely to get a minimum of 2pts worst case scenario so youd need a goal and 3 baps from the player u bring in to make a 4pt profit

    I'm protecting a 23 point lead and my team for the week is currently:
    Krul (Vorm)
    Caulker - Walker - Evans (Enrique - Sagna)
    Valencia - Bale - Siggy - VDV (Dempsey)
    Cisse - Jelavic - RVP

    1. Do I use my last transfer on:
    a) Sagna -> Kompany
    b) Dempsey -> Silva/Nasri
    c) Cisse -> Aguero

    Closest rival has Aguero so this closes this differential but I feel more work on my defense is needed.

    2. Are those the right bench options?

      Not for a hit. But I have drafted in Clichy for Evans. All indications are that he is definitely out - and may need an operation.

        I'm not prepared to take a hit in defence. Looks like Caulker it is then! Gutted because United have a great defensive away record against Sunderland and only conceded 1 in their last 4 visits there :(.

    Who would u plump for:

    Nasri, Silva or Ramires?

    The guy im trying to catch currently has none of them.

        I like Yaya but I just think Nasri and Silva might be better picks.

    Alright chaps, heading to Berlin for a stag do shortly so need to make my transfer(s) and pick my team now. Think I'm down to either:

    a) Rooney -> Aguero
    b) Skrtel -> Lescott
    c) Dempsey -> Yaya
    d) Dempsey & Rooney -> Silva & Aguero (4 point hit)
    e) Dempsey & Jelly -> Ferguson (benched) & Aguero (4 point hit)

    Quick show of hands please, with an f) if there is something better out there. Cheers muchly!

    Bogdan
    Kompany, JEvans, Caulker
    VDV, Bale, Valencia, Siggy
    RVP, Rooney, Jelavic

    Mignolet, Dempsey, Skrtel, Turner
