Chris Brunt is out of West Brom’s home clash with Arsenal. Theo Walcott faces a late fitness test for the Baggies showdown. Jonny Evans may require surgery on an injured foot. David Luiz is making good progress from a hamstring injury, Steve Kean’s injury worries mount up, while Ledley King is set for further knee surgery this summer:

Chris Brunt has been ruled out of Roy Hodgson’s final match in charge of West Brom this Sunday. The midfielder, who has been in decent Fantasy form of late with a goal and 5 bonus points in his last two games, has undergone surgery to have his tonsils removed – he has been struggling with tonsillitis for the past six weeks now, according to Baggies assistant boss Keith Downing. Peter Odemwingie is still battling to overcome the hamstring injury that kept him out of last week’s trip to Bolton, while Jerome Thomas is also a doubt for the visit of Arsenal with flu.

Theo Walcott may be set for a return for the Hawthorns trip. Arsene Wenger revealed this afternoon that the winger is set for a fitness test tomorrow ahead of Sunday’s vital clash. With a win enough to secure third place, the Gunners boss is desperate for Walcott to be available, with Gervinho failing to impress on the right as a recent replacement.

Reports suggest that Jonny Evans’ foot injury may be more serious than first thought. The United centre-half has missed out on his side’s last two matches after sustaining the injury in the 4-4 draw against Everton in Gameweek 35 – he is thought to be unlikely to feature at Sunderland this weekend. While the club had initially thought a rest would help the injury heal naturally, Evans is showing little sign of making progress, with surgery over the summer now a possibility.

David Luiz is making good progress from a hamstring problem ahead of Chelsea’s game against Blackburn. While the centre-half is unlikely to feature from the start, he is said to be in contention for a possible sub appearance against the relegated outfit – he hasn’t played since the middle of last month and Roberto Di Matteo is keen to afford him some game time, with the Champions League Final against Bayern Munich just over a week away. Luiz is thought to have missed training today, along with Gary Cahill and John Obi Mikel – the latter was unavailable for Tuesday’s trip to Liverpool due to injury.

Steve Kean is sweating on the fitness of a couple of key players for the Chelsea encounter. Paul Robinson and David Dunn are both nursing ankle problems and remain doubts for the match, while the Blackburn boss also revealed Bradley Orr is out – the defender has undergone Achilles surgery. Kean is hoping Gael Givet will be ready for the weekend; the defender was taken off at half-time against Wigan on Monday with hamstring and groin problems.

Ledley King could be set to feature for Spurs in Sunday’s crucial home game with Fulham. The centre-half has missed the last three Gameweeks with his ongoing knee problem after a training ground collision worsened his condition – Harry Redknapp admitted King is set to go under the knife again after the season comes to an end:

For the sake of the club and the team, he has tried to play on, but he has been playing in pain and his movement’s not been as good. Hopefully, we’ll get his knee cleared out in the summer and he will be right again. I’m sure the chairman respects everything he has done for the club and we’d love to keep him around.

Owen Coyle has admitted he is considering how to utilise Chung-Yong Lee for Bolton’s vital trip to Stoke this weekend. A victory for the Trotters and a defeat for QPR at City would ensure the Lancashire outfit’s survival and, with the Korean impressing as a sub in last week’s draw with West Brom, Coyle is keeping his options open:

He came through 70 minutes the other day in a practice match and he’s fit. Whether he’s at the point where he can start games is difficult because we wouldn’t want to do anything that could harm his long term well-being. But for that brief period against West Brom you could see his quality and if he continues to improve as he has done then we’ll have to see what can happen against Stoke.

The Bolton boss is also checking on the fitness of Nigel Reo-Coker and Martin Petrov; the latter limped off with ten minutes left against the Baggies but is thought to be nursing no more than a knock.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

Hi! I have 2 FT this week and am pretty set on Cisse to Aguero, which will mean I need to do Dempsey to a 6m or under midfielder.

    Bogdan
    Verm. Terry. Caulker
    Valencia. VDV. Bale. ?
    RVP. Jelly. Aguero

    Schwarzer. Evans. Siggy. McAuley

So who should the question mark be? Was thinking Petrov but is he ok to play?

What makes you think Spurs Fulham will be so high scoring?
They occasionally capitulate but that seems to involve their midfield completely failing so they don't tend to score then either. And Spurs don't score that many goals often either really.

if you had a defence of evans, simpson, senderos, verm and caulker, would you take a hit to get 3 playing defenders? With it being the last week is it worth it? I'm thinking of just playing with 10, best thing to do?

Assuming Evans is definitely out and Senderos won't play, then it's worth the hit for a Man City defender. At a minimum I'd say you'll get 2 points (costing you -2) and very likely to get 6 or more. Man City almost certain to start with Zabaleta, Lescott, Kompany and Clichy, esp. the latter 3.

Yeah that's true, I was thinking about city defenders, I just didn't want to lose the 2 points if they conceded. It's probably worth doing, i'll mull it over but this has persuaded me, like you say it's only 2 points lost if it goes tits up, cheers for the advice pal.

Reasons why you would captain RVP over Aguero....discuss.

    1. Virtually everyone has RVP (OK 34.4% playing the game) - including my ALL mini league rivals - so the double points from RVP would be a differential and Aguero would be a differential even if he is owned by 28.6% playing the game? πŸ˜•

Heres my final draft for the next few days:

    Tsorvas. Pletikosa
    Boateng. Alba. Kadlec. Jodlowiec. Olsson
    Ozil. Sneijder. Iniesta. Mandzukic. Andrews
    Lewandowski. Robben. Ibrahimovic.

    - Jodlowiec is a nailed on 4.0 defender for Poland. Just putting it out there
    - Got 0.5 to do Boateng > Badstuber if he's not nailed on.

Question: Jordi Alba is pretty nailed on for LB of ESP right? As far as I know, he's the only natural LB in that squad ATM. Nacho Monreal is also an LB. But Alba's a lot better.

Monreal isn't great, and Enrique's been playing poorly for liverpool, he should be nailed on as a cheap way into the Spanish defence.

I think Boateng will be nailed on, but not entirely sure.

      Im expecting:

      Lahm, Hummels, Badstuber, Boateng

Howedes could come in for Boateng or Hummels, but probably won't

Sorry for the RMT repost, but didn’t get any bites last time round.

    Krul
    Caulker Verm Walker
    VDV Valencia Dempsey Siggy
    RVP Kun(c) Jelly

    (subs: Mig Kelly Jevans Pienaar)

Leading my ML by a slender 10pts and already used my FT (Roo>Kun) and am considering doing either for a hit:

    1) Jelly>Ade/Torres
    2) Pienaar>Yaya

Is either option worth a hit or am I good to go?

Think he had the following when I last looked (can't check from work)

        Vorm/Krul
        Terry Verm Cuellar McAuley Kelly
        Bale VDV Valencia Siggy Dempsey
        Cisse Jelly RVP

The other option is to hedge my bets, wait and see what he does and bring in Terry for cover at the back perhaps?

      I'd play Mig.
Stoke have scored in 8 of their last 9 home games.
Bolton have no clean sheet away since the opening game of the season.
Sunderland have home clean sheets in 6 of their last 9 home games.
Man Utd failed to score in their last 2 away games.

Switch Chesny or Tsorvas - both in same group means you can't switch mid-round if your first playing GK does poorly. Suggest Given, Isaksson for GW1.

      K. Papadopoulos probably won't play, its his brother thats the starter!
He could possible be OOP and play DM (goal.com) but wouldn't trust that.

Also, I wouldn't double on Greek defence.

And Frazek is right, you need another keeper from a different group, Given and Papasthathopoulos in for Szczesny and Papadopoulos.

Also not sold on Van Persie until we've seen the Holland friendlies and how he plays, and personally wouldn't double on Jelly and Mandzukic.

There might be a gap but Im not the one to provide the solution. Im looking at the RMTs for the Euros and I dont recognise half the names. Finding it hard to put together a team for the Euros. Seriously hopeing FFS covers it in detail.

You're right that you don't have to use both transfers just for the sake of it, but Silva/Yaya won't score as much as Aguero IMO. I actually see them getting between 2-7 points whereas I think Aguero *could* break double figures.

Even if he does I still think he's just as dangerous as Valencia (RM) or Dempsey (in the midfield). Of course, we don't know whether Dempsey will play in the hole or whether Bale will get 60+ mins in a good position though. I'd narrow it down to Dempsey/Valencia/Siggy if I were you

If Llorente starts he's likely to be the main scorer. Needed to dump Iniesta to get a 2nd starting keeper, think I prefer Snejider over him, especially in GW1 when Spain play Italy. Iniesta and Benzema is more expensive (just)than Llorente and Ribery and not sure if Benzema or Remy is first choice.
