Jobs

Want to sign for Fantasy Football Scout?

Fantasy Football Scout are delighted to announce two new job vacancies.

After a frantic but successful start to the season, we’re looking to grow the team once again, with new roles in both the editorial and technical departments.

Considering the world we live in right now, each role is a remote one, although, ideally, post-coronavirus, we would like to work together in person on occasion. Therefore, the ability to travel to London easily would be an advantage.

However, those that work outside of London should not be put off and should most definitely still apply. Talent is more important to us than postcode.

Editorial Content Support

We are looking for a new addition to the editorial team to work alongside David and Neale on our regular Fantasy Football Scout output. The role is part-time initially, but there is definitely with room to grow.

Time: 1-2 days per week (8-16 hours)

Main Duties Include:

  • Writing, editing and uploading specific articles
  • Covering midweek press conferences
  • Tweeting updates on FFS channel
  • Processing images for articles
  • Supporting the monitoring/update of injury and team news

Skillset Required:

  • Proven editorial experience at a professional level (writing/editing)
  • Interest in and knowledge of FPL and Premier League football generally
  • Flexible schedule

Full-stack developer

We are also looking to add to our growing technical team with another full-stack developer to provide support for existing systems and help with the development of new tools and services.

Time: Part time or full time (2-5 days per week)

Main Duties Include:

  • Supporting the existing site and tools
  • Developing new features

Skillset Required / Tools Used

Front-End:

  • HTML, JavaScript and CSS
  • Sass
  • React
  • Query
  • Bootstrap
  • AJAX

Back-End:

  • API design and development
  • PHP
  • MySQLApache
  • WordPress
  • Ubuntu
  • Ansible

Experience

  • BSC Computer Science or related 2.1 min
  • Two years minimum commercial experience

If you want to get involved with the next chapter of the site, please drop us a line with your CV at jobs@fantasyfootballscout.co.uk.

We would like to stress that it may take a little time to look through and respond to applications.

For the next couple of GWs:
    a) Vardy
    b) Werner

A - decent record against Liverpool, plays one of the worst defences in Fulham and then has old scores to settle against the Blades as a Wednesday fan

It looks like the consensus is to get rid of Salah reading through most of the past comments?

Is this a reaction to the 2nd negative test. Do we now think he will miss the next two GWs?

It'll take a -4 for me to do it, but I think I'll have to bite the bullet.

Coufal - safer if they were to move back to a back 4 to accommodate another mid

Got Couf last week - no complaints.
Less attacking maybe, but more nailed, still pretty good going forward and likes a BAP

1FT and 0.5 itb. Any suggestions?

    Martinez (Steer)
    Robertson Chilwell Masuaku Kilman (Lamptey)
    Bruno KdB Grealish (Salah, Anguissa)
    Jimenez DCL (Brewster)

Only upgrade I can do without a hit is Anguissa to Soucek. Can downgrade Jimenez, Robertson or Salah and upgrade Brewster/Anguissa for -4. Worth it?

    Kane, DCL

    Mitchell, Salah, Wilson

No. CS odds not too different, Cancelo attacking threat and Kilman might not play anyway after family tragedy

Yes. And if Kilman is out then Cancelo will replace.

Doherty out with COVID and up against Aurier who can't defend. Kilman may be out due to family bereavement and Wolves were weak on the left side with Kilman and Nouri so Saiss may start. Start Cancelo

Missing out on City CS points for a 'possibility' of wanting another City attacker? Think that may be a while away, their attack isn't clicking yet

Trust your own thought process and do what you want. Never expect much encouragement here for deviating from the template.

Defence is one of the best places to find differentials right now (Mark confirmed as much on his FPL Surgery guest appearance).

Cresswell worth the 0.6 more than Coufal?

Basically is Cresswell good enough to be played every week or rotate Coufal with Kilman for the 3rd defender position

    1. Fulchester's New Centr…
      • 6 Years
      3 years, 4 months ago

I went Coufal and happy so far, but Cresswell "could" have got a ridiculous score against Fulham

    2. Tonyawesome69
      • 5 Years
      3 years, 4 months ago

You believe WHU will keep a CS if you are considering Cresswell and Coufal. I think Cresswell is worth the extra 0.6 due to having set pieces on top of the possible CS points

    3. Birds of Prey
      • 10 Years

Hope so. I'm playing him this week away. Maybe not against City away otherwise he's looked good. But now that he's on my squad likely to get a triangle. Has a long history of injuries. Good luck to us.

Hi Chaps. How’s this looking? Already -8 (Bruno Ziyech Coufal for Son TAA Romeo) so happy to keep Salah until he returns.

    Martinez
    Lamptey Coufal Chilwell
    Bruno Ziyech Grealish (c) Zaha
    Kane Bamford DCL (vc)

    Steer Justin Mitchell Salah. 0.1ITB

Look decent apart from the -8 and benching Salah. Probably would've leaned towards DCL ahead of Grealish for the captaincy pick.

Hi all - do I have too many 'needed transfers' ahead to do Salah > KDB this week, given I'd want to bring back Salah when fit?

I was all set for Drossard > Soucek before the Salah news, with a view to Saiss, Son, and Kane > Cancelo, KDB and Vardy over following 2 GWs. (Plus Mitchell isn't nailed; Brewster flagged).

    Any advice much appreciated. Thanks!

    Bruno, Salah*, Grealish, Son, Trossard*

Kane -> Vardy for - 4 is probably too risky?

Vardy has a good record against Liverpool and Alexander-Arnold, Gomez, van Dijk will not play. Vardys next fixtures are also tasty (Fulham, Sheffield, Brighton).

Kane has difficult fixtures (City and Chelsea).

    Thank you!

Don't want to be negative but aren't you wondering about Villa players overperforming or that they are one-hit wonders? Don't get me wrong I think Grealish is a great pick but I wouldn't name him essential. Could be a bubble, could be not.

    P.S. Don't hate Watkins/Grealish owners.
