Fantasy Football Scout has been voted as the ‘best editorial’ in Fantasy Football for 2020.

That’s according to the Football Content Awards who revealed the results at a virtual ceremony on Tuesday, December 8.

The competition in our category was fierce with Athletic columnist FPL General, Premier Injuries’ Ben Dinnery, Fantasy Football Fix and Fantasy Football Hub.

Delighted Fantasy Football Scout editor David Munday said: “It is a great honour to receive this award.

“FFS is dedicated to providing high-quality, industry-leading content for Fantasy managers worldwide and it is wonderful to see that recognised by the football community.

“I would like to thank our incredible roster of contributors who regularly submit insightful articles as well as my hard-working deputy editor Neale Rigg. I strongly believe his Kanté-esque graft in midfield is the secret to our success.

“And, of course, full credit goes out to our readers and members who make all of this possible with their unerring support to FFS.”

Bruno Fernandes can cement a position in the starting 11 of any team. Quality player. Chelsea fan here wishing that he could be playing for current quality sides like Liverpool, Man City, or Atletico Madrid.

Solskjaer has almost certainly brought us as far as he can. But, I still thank him. He’s actually got us playing decent football, he’s brought through a host of younger players and he’s brought the club ethos back to its roots. He’s also got rid of loads of deadwood and brought in a few good un’s - Bruno chief among them. I thank him for all of that.

But, it’s time to start lining up a top class coach to take over soon. And the club need dig deep to back him as well.

Don't know how much of a difference a manager will make. They've had van Gaal and Mourinho who were serial winners and proven at elite level.

Until the Glazers go they'll lurch from one crisis to the next.

Ramsey for free and Gnabry for 5 million. I swear there are many people with low IQ in football, but it seems like most of them have been accumulated at Arsenal. Even the fans (aftv).

This. Let it be at allegedly for now. I've seen Romanians saying 'negru' means black and 'Ala negru' means the black one.

So IF the ref asked the fourth official which coach should be booked, then it MIGHT not be abuse.

            Could certainly be cultural.

Negro means black in Portuguese, for example. As other posters have said, negru means black in Romanian.

Not sure how that can be classed as racist as it would 100% be the same as you saying "black" in English.

            1. @persecuted_by_mods
                5 years, 17 hours ago

Very easily, if a ref says "I'm booking Mason Mount and the black guy"(Tammy) that would of course be racist because why does race come into it?

On the coaching staff, from the video I saw, it does make it easy to identify who the official is talking about by referring to race.

What's the end goal here, not referring to people by their obvious characteristics and always walking on egg shells?

A UEFA referee should have enough exposure to know what words might be misinterpreted.

In my country also they might use an inappropriate word even though the are not racist in any way. That's Just down to ignorance...should be the case for a UEFA referee IMO.

If you’re in an international setting where English is the primary language you can’t go around claiming that. If it’s so important: don’t take the job as a ref in an international setting. Simple!

In my language the word for corner is the word that rhymes with Kant. Should I be sad that I can’t go around saying that in an international setting? Are you daft?

Honestly I'm not sure how to answer that, it's not my position to say. If someone were to take offence to you saying that word, I'm sure they would be understanding enough once they realised what the true meaning of the word is in your dialect.

Dude would he say the white guy. Why is he saying that in the first place. He should use his name.

I'm guessing he didn't know his name as he was a member of the coaching staff. And who knows? That's a good question, you'd hope so yes, if there was one white guy amongst a group of black people he would refer to the white person as "the white guy".

Arguments between so-called "supporters" of the elite clubs on the Internet is one of the things that is pathetic about modern football.

Doubtless many of them have never set foot in the city of the club they follow much less been to see them play.

Yeah, Raph probably does pose more of a threat, but Gross is on pens. Ayling because Mitchell isn't playing and he seemed the best 4.5 option. Thoughts?

N-word never used apparently, although still clear racism

Romanian word for "black" is negru. Apparently 4th official is Romanian.

This might change things, if he just described him as the black guy to the main ref. Stupid to describe someone like that but might not be intended as racist.

              Hmm is that racist?

So if there were a game played in which all players in one team were black apart from one and the official was attempting to identify the white guy, could he not say the white guy as that is clearly the easiest method to ID him. Same theory in this case. He’s just saying he is black. What’s wrong with that.

And before anyone pipes up about this being racist, which hopefully they won’t as it’s not, I am as far from a racist as you can get.

I would add that if he used an offensive word then clearly that is racist and completely unacceptable. Should never officiate again.

It's not the same because this isn't a scenario where there is one single player of a certain race

There is literally 0 reason to mention race, if you can't see that then that's on you

But as a society we decided so put a stigma on this particular feature even when no offense was intended. The stigma is based on historical developments in the West and all other nations are expected to comform. I don’t think that’s right.

When asked who should get the card, 4th ref said "asta negru", which in Romanian means "this black one/guy".

Ddg is pretty useless these days, at least kepa is young enough to maybe improve somewhere else

They're both decent keepers. Kepa does not thrive under pressure though, would be fine back in La Liga.
