Fantasy Football Scout has been voted as the ‘best editorial’ in Fantasy Football for 2020.

That’s according to the Football Content Awards who revealed the results at a virtual ceremony on Tuesday, December 8.

The competition in our category was fierce with Athletic columnist FPL General, Premier Injuries’ Ben Dinnery, Fantasy Football Fix and Fantasy Football Hub.

Delighted Fantasy Football Scout editor David Munday said: “It is a great honour to receive this award.

“FFS is dedicated to providing high-quality, industry-leading content for Fantasy managers worldwide and it is wonderful to see that recognised by the football community.

“I would like to thank our incredible roster of contributors who regularly submit insightful articles as well as my hard-working deputy editor Neale Rigg. I strongly believe his Kanté-esque graft in midfield is the secret to our success.

“And, of course, full credit goes out to our readers and members who make all of this possible with their unerring support to FFS.”

Depends on what weeks you’re playing them, if the answer is every week then something may be wrong with your team balance, would prefer C out of them if you don’t already have Dallas

    Fun fact.
Arsenal has the same amount of points after 11 games as Wolves, Tottenham and United had last season.

I was talking with a former United trainee GK yesterday; he loves DDG and still doesn’t rate Hendo. I don’t get it, I think his positioning is top notch. DDG isn’t the eraser he used to be back there..

    Bottomed on last page.

    Going to get priced out of option 1 tonight, thoughts appreciated;

    1. DCL Ziyech and Robbo to Watkins Salah R.James (-4)
    2. Ziyech and Vardy to Salah and Watkins
    3. Ziyech and Bruno to Salah and Jota

I know 2 is the probably the logical option but I think taking the money out of my defence instead of forwards could be better in the long run with a view of going Vardy to Kane when Spurs fixtures turn.

Then there’s option 3 which entirely hinges on Jota’s game time...

    1. BeWater
      • 5 Years
      5 years, 1 day ago

Spurs fixtures don't turn for a while so I would do 2. That way you keep good players like Robbo and Bruno while getting the best captain by a mile this week.

I had decided against it. The issue for me is that Vardy to Bamford frees up more money. Wilson is short term prospect and I don't trust Watkins long term. Should Vardy fail vs Brighton or there be any midweek injury, I would prefer Vardy to Bamford and keeping DCL. Difficult tbh.

Even if we get a blank in GW18 and double in GW19, still means we'll have another BGW and at least two others DGW by the end of the season right ? So just manage through GW18/19 with transfers and keep your chips for "chip season" ?

I remember Ben Crellin tweeting that GW19 will be the biggest DGW this season so we might not have the big DGWs as usual later in the season.

For real ? Then if it's the biggest DGW of the season it means GW18 will the the worst BGW ? So FH in GW18, and BB in GW19 ?

Seems logical enough. That is what Crellin is planning.

However, if the GW1 fixtures go into GW18, MCI/MUN/AVL/BUR might have a SGW18 followed by a DGW19. If this happens, then just loading up on these teams could make it unnecessary to FH18.

We have yet to see whether the league will respect these teams' right to a "mini-winter break" or not.

Why is January not part of "chip season" if it winds up having the biggest BGW and DGW?

I certainly plan to use some chip in DGW19 (TC or BB). Hoping I don't have to use a chip in BGW18 and can save it until later.

It feels like early TC chips never work lmao. Remember Kane or Sané.

But if it's the biggest DGW then it must be BB time for sure.

Do we have enough TV to get 15 playing players worth having to bench boost?

I'm not sure you'll have much more TV later if you save it. You might be an exception but for most managers, most TV is built up during the first half of the season.

I usually use wildcard at the late stage of the season though to set up for double gameweek without disrupting my first team because its all the value i can possibly accumulate. I don't have a bench right now to bench boost so i can only do it later.

I might do this too, can't be sure which chip I'll use until the fixtures come out.

My bench isn't too bad, a lot of what I do will depend on fixtures.

I played TC on Salah last January (DGW24) and it worked (48 points).

The year before, the winner played it on Aguero the same week that many failed with Sane.

Meanwhile, Chris McGowan tried to be too clever and saved his TC last year, refusing to use it in DGW24. Then he used it in GW38 for 3 points. If he had used it in DGW24 he would have won FPL.

    McCarthy/ Martinez
    Dallas/ Chilwell/ Konsa/ Dias/ Lamphey
    KDB/ Ziyech / Son/ Jrod/ Soucek
    Kane/ DCL / Bamford

Too early to me this move: Ziyech, Jrod to Salah, Bissouma (or other 4.5 mid) for free?
Conscious of price changes pricing me out of the move

What price did you buy Ziyech and JRod for? Salah won't rise again at least for a couple of days and Ziyech and JRod won't go down tonight.

Ok so you can't take another drop on either. It's not looking like they will drop again tonight but maybe just get the move done because it's highly unlikely Salah will play tomorrow.

Ah, apologies! Thought I was replying to the Aguero chat. Yeah, he'll ease Pulisic back after he had the pre- game mishap a few weeks ago. But I think when Havertz, Pulisic and Ziyech are all fit that Pulisic has that bit more FPL potential. Tidy footballer.
