Fantasy Premier League managers face a difficult choice for the Blank Gameweek 18 captaincy.

Even before Monday’s fixture rearrangements for Spurs, Fulham and Aston Villa, differentiating between Kevin De Bruyne (£11.7m) and Bruno Fernandes (£11.3m) was proving challenging for many.

Now that Harry Kane (£11.0m) and Son Heung-min (£9.8m) have been handed a favourable home fixture against underprepared opposition the debate has been thrown wide open.

More than ever, Fantasy managers need some help with the armband, which is where the Captain Sensible article comes in.

                hmm ignoring it could be costly plus it's easy to focus on both...the only annoying thing is future benching headaches but can gradually sort that out

      I would have a Spurs defender if I was wildcarding.

      Compared to Arsenal's defence (for example) they have slightly better clean sheet odds this week, slightly better fixtures over the next six and are more likely to effectively set up to clean in their tougher games. Plus are generally a better team, which helps.

    It’s funny; I haven’t been concerned with Covid at all FPL wise and in retrospect, it’s killed me. The Salah thing caused a wasted WC and 5 weeks of no progress and now my brilliant plan to go triple Villa has got me proper F’ed. GFG.

    Morning all, best moves here? I’m edging towards C for upside, but will need a Salah shaped sofa...

    A) Targett & Martinelli -> Stones & Smith-Rowe
    = 10 starters in GW18 & 9 DGWers in GW19 (no hits). Loses a AVL player who may also double in GW20. Not totally convinced by ESR.

    B) Salah & Watkins -> Foden & Kane
    = 10 starters in GW18 & 8 DGWers (no hits) Also loses an AVL player. Foden unlikely to play both in DGW.

    C) McCarthy & Salah -> DDG & Sterling.
    = 11 starters in GW18 & 9 DGWers for GW19 (no hits). Retains both AVL players. Sounds like McCarthy may lose his DGW so perhaps time to ship
