As of this afternoon, we’re rolling out Captain Polls on a daily basis ahead of tomorrow’s 5pm Group A kick-off between Poland and Greece.

With the McDonald’s Uefa game allowing us to change the armband every Matchday in each round of action, Fantasy managers will have plenty of tinkering and decisions to make as the games arrive thick and fast.

Our intention is to update the poll once the first game of each Matchday has kicked off. As usual, you will find the poll in the middle of the main page, with 15 protagonists per day to choose from.

Pretty much done with my team but can't squeeze in Sneijder & RVP vs Denmark. At the mo have Affelay and one of the other two, which is the best option? Am using my WC after GW1

a) Sneijder, Ibra & Muller
b) Larsson, RVP & Muller
c) Downgrade 2 or 3 mid range players (Affelay, Pletikosa & Yarmy probably) to really cheap ones and get in both Sneijder & RVP

        Also, would double on Germany up top not Dutch.
        
        Get Muller in there probably ahead of Ronaldo. And personally, think a Spanish mid will outscore Sneijder.

        Cheers, Piszczek is 0.5m more than Perquis so I'd need to downgrade somewhere to fit him in. I'm half tempted to go with a Greek defender instead of Perquis though - a full 1.0m cheaper, and they have their 2 easiest games first after which I could get rid. If I get a Pole then it kind of negates picking Dzagoev?
        
        You may be right re Muller, but I just fancy Ronaldo to score against anyone. He probably goes for me in the first transfer window.
        
        What do you think about Italian defenders? Bonucci is the cheapest and is only 0.5m more than Perquis...

        Piszczek for 0.5m more is probably not worth it. I'd stay off Italian defense this tournament. Think they'll struggle to keep it clean.

        Yes, you can switch (c) overnight but you'll only get double points from the (c) you stick with. Once you've switch from Lew to Wesley, Lew's earned points will be standard.

        You could captain Lewandowski for tomorrow's games then make a decision whether to take those points or roll the dice again and pass the captaincy on to Sneijder. (And so on for the remaining games)
        
        You'll get double points for whoever you ultimately leave your captain's armband on and normal points for all other players. You can't retrospectively captain anyone or revert to a previous captain - if you take it off Lewandowski you can't go back.
        
        Also, you can't take the armband off anyone who gets sent off.

Hmm, one day left before the start of the Euro's, probably time I started thinking about sorting my team out I suppose.

How accurate have the scout reports on here been? I know enough about the PL to be able to determine when a pinch of salt is required with the predicted line-ups, with most of these teams I'm utterly clueless.

  I've no idea how they are basing the prices rises/falls so time will tell. I suspect there will be little opportunity to 'trade' players values in the same way you get in FPL, in which case I'll be largely ignoring prices changes.

        Nope. 5.0. So hardly a deal, but I have 5.5m for a defender, want to keep a bit of spare change, and he plays Ireland first up.

        Strinic is 4.0 🙁 For 5.0 he isnt too bad if 100% nailed on. Not many good cheaper ones. I think i will have to gamble on Strinic.

  I've gone for Kadlec just because defender with penalties is so rare case and we can play with only 2 defenders if he doesn't produce.
  
  I've been loading up for first matchday (Maniatis, Berezutski, Kadlec and Perquis) so expecting a real goalfest for start of the tournament!

Hi folks,

I’ve entered a competition at work where I have to predict Euro 2012 results. There’s £10 on the line so I’m naturally taking it a lot more serious that I would under normal circumstances!

Anyone else doing something similar? Would you care to discuss predictions? Any thoughts on the best way to call it? I've already made some predictions but I'd love to discuss them with anyone if they're doing something similar!

    Yeah I had a look but, as expected, they're just predicting low scoring wins for the first round of games and not really favouring any teams heavily unless they're clearly favourites. For example, They're not really backing anyone strongly in group A, with perhaps the exception of Russia.
    
    I'm considering just going with the favourites unless I feel I know better and sticking to predicting low scoring wind (e.g. 1-0s and 2-1s).

      Boring but sensible, probably the best way - if you start to fall behind presumably you could change to some left-field predictions later in the tournament to clawback points?

  Constructive advice - Nice and well balanced, wouldn't have Kadlec personally, 5.5 is very expensive for a defender who you're going to be really on pens almost all of the time, neither would I have Xavi, too expensive, much rather ribery/Nasri. Else looks good.

    If I don't get Kadlec, I'd bank the money and get Schildenfeld. Seems a bit too safe to do that though.
    
    Xavi I like. I remember he scored well at the world cup a few years ago, and people underestimate his points potential. Also think getting Spain early will be a bit of a differential since people are holding off until GW 2. Think they'll get a few against Italy.

      Hmm.. Okay, tis true that one can switch out Kadlec if he doesn't perform, however, you can go Sneijder + Xabi + Schildenfield vs Xavi + Afellay + Kadlec. It's up to which one you'd rather have.
