As of this afternoon, we’re rolling out Captain Polls on a daily basis ahead of tomorrow’s 5pm Group A kick-off between Poland and Greece.

With the McDonald’s Uefa game allowing us to change the armband every Matchday in each round of action, Fantasy managers will have plenty of tinkering and decisions to make as the games arrive thick and fast.

Our intention is to update the poll once the first game of each Matchday has kicked off. As usual, you will find the poll in the middle of the main page, with 15 protagonists per day to choose from.

      Defense.

      I'd downgrade Larsson and upgrade Strinic. Otherwise, that's a pretty awesome team. Keep an eye on Chalkias.

    The sub rule is pretty silly really. It means that having risky players from groups playing towards the end of the GW (C and D) are even more risky than ones playing in A and B. So I'd suggest only a few players from Group D for example. It also seems a good strategy to play 'risky' defenders who may do well attacking-wise (Zhirkov, Kadlec etc), and have the safer defenders (Spanish, English etc) playing towards the end. It has worked out better in that Group A contains players we're less sure about.

    It also means that having expensive players from C and D may be a waste of money as you might not want to play them if other players perform! Currently I have Ibrahimovic, Yarmalenko, Nasri and Young. But if I only have two spots left, who would I play? It's almost like I'd be hoping for a couple of 2 scores just so that I don't have the headache of playing Young over a defender with a clean sheet for example.

    A bit of a ramble, but two points in summary from this sub rule:

    1) Take risks earlier in the GW and keep safer players til the end
    2) Spend relatively more money towards the start of the GW than the end to minimise the chance of wasting money.

        I may do the same, which does make me reconsider Ibra and Yarm as you've got to back England and France to qualify. Maybe Ibra just for the first game and Yarm out.

      I get what you are saying but by the time the group D fixtures come, i bet you at least 3 players with 2pts or less 🙂

        Even so, it will always be a choice of which Group D players to pick, I also have Lescott as a defender so having 5 players on the final day will give me a choice to make unless I have 5+ players with a low score (which obviously I hope I don't).

    Any Czech experts?

    What is the predicted line-up for the back 4? I'm reading conflicting things about Kadlec starting as CB or LB.

    If Kadlec is CB with Sivok, it means we'll probably have the option of Limberský (who is only 4.0) starting at leftback.

      Limbersky, Kadlec, Sivok, Gebreselassie.

      Limbersky played 90 in the last friendly. Figure he'll start. But I wouldn't have him. Maniatis at 4.0 is a much better deal.

      Debuchy for me. Nailed on, offers some attacking threat, playing for the best team of your picks, and has good fixtures for a defender (2 easy ones and England who are pretty defensive these days)

      I'm worried he repeated they just 'get on with it'. Like it's a chore working together. Why don't they talk to each other and plan moves, and have a laugh. When Rooney plays you can see him on the pitch discussing tactics with the others(especially Gerrard). If Downing plays, it'll be rigid England as usual.

Detaljno pogledaj sve golove koje smo primili u zadnjim dvama kvalifikacijama i vdijet ćeš da je svaki drugi gol koji je došao s lijeve strane protivničkog napada direktan rezultat Srnine pogreške ili zakašnjele reakcije, stoga je bolje da Srna igra u vezi. Ovo drugo što si napisao vezano za Rakitića i Pelrišića je ok, s tim se slažem.

        Jelavić i Mandžukić su u mnogo boljoj formi općenito i zbog toga moraju igrati. Napisao sam samo da je Madžukić 100% dok Jelavić ima mini-rizik ne igranja u prvoj postavi. Eduardo jest bolji od Mandžukića, ali kako trenutno igra u duelima je mnogo slabiji, a to bi moglo biti presudno u tekmi s Irskom.

        Thanks, that's what I was thinking. The 6-0 hammering of NI really opened my eyes a bit, and reminded me of the "always have faith in RVP rule"...

        Plus Afellay looks better with every game, just hope he can keep it up and Sneijder doesn't eclipse him against the Danes...

      I'd say RVP/Afellay - RVP will be starting up top now we know Huntelaar is benched and, assuming Afellay starts out wide, he's got a good chance of attacking returns. Robben will start out wide and Sneijder will sit deeper...so might get less attacking opportunity.

      In theory...could be nonsense of course

    Are we any closer to figuring out which Russian keeper will get the start tomorrow, and if people are now having doubts about whether Strinic will start or not, who would be a decent 4.0 to 4.5 Defender to replace him with? Already have Alba, Debuchy, Maniatis and Perquis. Can't add another Russia, Netherland, Pole or French

    In their friendly against Andorra, which Poland won 4-0, Kuba and Wasilewski (5.5m defender) took a penalty each. The recieved wisdom is that Kuba is on penalties, and it's likely that Wasilewski only took the other pen because at 3-0 the game was already wrapped up. But Kuba was himself brought down for the one he took. Is it possible that Wasilewski is the preffered penalty taker for Poland?

    Probably mad ramblings but just wanted to know what anyone else thought. Wasilswski must be priced higher than even Pisczek for a reason, right?
