Which Premier League sides have fixture swings in the coming Gameweeks?

Currently sitting at 773rd in the world, Let’s Talk FPL’s Andy gives his thoughts on upcoming fixture swings for three Premier League teams.

Double Gameweeks are some of the best parts of any FPL season, but we can often fall into the trap of tunnel vision, where we forget there are other teams and players to consider.

In this article, I wanted to take a look at some future fixture swings for teams, both in the short-term future, but also a bit longer term.

Chelsea

With the amount of rotation we’ve seen under Thomas Tuchel, I’d be a bit wary of going for too many Chelsea players, but the fixtures look kind in the near future.

  • Gameweek 27 – Everton (h)
  • Gameweek 28 – Leeds United (a)
  • Gameweek 29 – Blank
  • Gameweek 30 – West Brom (h)
  • Gameweek 31 – Crystal Palace (a)

West Brom, Leeds and Palace are all in the bottom three for expected goals conceded this season, with Everton the seventh-worst team in the league. The fixtures from Gameweek 27 look prime for goals.

With Timo Werner (£9.2m) finally getting a long-overdue goal on Monday against Newcastle United, he’s one to keep an eye on, especially with FPL managers looking at Harry Kane (£11.0m) for a potential Double Gameweek in 26. This could be an easy switch later on.

      Who knows?

Decent fixtures on paper. Good underlying season form. Obvious captain option. You win some, you lose some.

During my surgery recently there were some complications and I briefly died. I could see a bright light in the distance and then a figure appeared. It was God. "Lord, are Liverpool are banter club?" I asked. "Yes, my child" he responded. My heart rate suddenly picked up and I was alive again.

    2FT, 1.6 ITB.
DCL and Soucek > Ings and Soucek is the plan, but this will give me real bench headache.
If I do both, wich two would you bench out of:

    Martinez (Areola)
    Shaw, Cancelo, Mee, AWB (Coufal)
    Salah, Sterling, Bruno, Gundo (Soucek)
    Bamford, Barnes (DCL)

    Few questions, lads!
WC this bunch of bad boys? 4.0 ITB. Got BB and TC left.

    Martinez Peacock
    Cancelo - Alioski - Lowton - Dias - Coufal
    Salah - Gundogan - Bruno - Soucek - Son
    Ings - Bamford - Antonio

If not, bench Soucek or Dias? (Yes, serious question).

    Response much appriciated.

      No.

      Why would you?

      Martinez
      Cancelo Dias Alioski
      Salah Bruno Son Gundogan
      Ings Bamford

Then do something like Soucek > Raphinha and bench Antonio, roll a FT.

What would you even be moving to?!

Have all chips intact but can't seem to decide on what to do with them. Don't see value in WCing out of this team with 11-12 good players already in the team. Maybe watch how gw25 unfolds and assess what 2FTs can do for dgw26? GTg? 1FT and 0 itb.

Got excited when I saw the Premier League had issued a statement about fixtures.

Then I realised they were just teasing us: https://www.premierleague.com/news/2031965?sf243139122=1

"The Premier League today confirmed all fixtures will continue to be made available to fans to watch live in the UK. This arrangement will be extended until Government guidance permits supporters to return to stadiums.

"All matches will be shown via existing broadcast partners Sky Sports, BT Sport, Amazon Prime Video and BBC, who continue to work with us to deliver these additional matches while stadiums are missing the supporters who are such an integral part of the game.

"Details of broadcast selections for March and the rearrangement of previously postponed matches will be announced in due course.

"The Premier League and its clubs remain committed to an accessible solution for fans. The UK live broadcast arrangements will be reviewed in consultation with clubs and in line with any decisions made by Government regarding the return of spectators to stadiums.

McCarthy, Dallas, Bamford and Ings. Pretty sure I'll do Soucek to Raphinha for -4 too.

"Nice desert" apparently in ancient elvish language can be translated as "Arsenal" , and Gundo is rumoured to be very profficient in ancient elvish.

It's crazy how it's only due to the imminent Leeds DGW that people are posting these Raphinha stats.

Bit late to the party guys...

The psychology of FPL is so trendy now, but the game does tend to bring out my irrational side, in terms of reactions to outcomes.

I did Foden > Gundo this week (way too late). Foden will hardly touch my rank if he hauls this eve. Sterling could do serious damage but, of the two, I think I'd still be more gutted by a monster haul from Foden!

ClaretParrot bought him for THIS game week. So he got him healthy and got lots of points.

I think we know nothing about MCI offensively without Gundo and KDB.

We are not guaranteed they will continue the form without two metronome players. We'll see.

I made the Foden hokey cokey mistake before his haul at Liverpool. You need to just put him in for 3 - 4 weeks and hope for the best.

Setting teams up for BB GW26. I'm also bringing Martinez, Cencelo (or Stones), Shaw, Salah, Grealish, Kane and probably Ings so think it worth it for me.

Yeah, do a "-8" seems cheaper.

A minus 4 is definitely cheaper.
