Scout Network

Which Double Gameweek 26 players are the Scout Networking considering?

The pool of viable players for Double Gameweek 26 of Fantasy Premier League is wider than ever – so how do we identify the best options?

14 teams have two fixtures scheduled for the next round of action which means a lot of research is needed before Saturday’s deadline.

With the biggest Double Gameweek of the season looming we asked the members of the Scout Network for their top picks.

Ted Talks FPL

West Bromwich Albion’s Mbaye Diagne

In the five games Mbaye Diagne (£6.0m) has played for West Bromwich Albion, he has registered three attacking returns and has the second highest xGI per 90 amongst other forwards.

Jamie Vardy (£10.1m) is a differential among teams in the top 500k with just 5% ownership, yet he has returned in his last two games and has the highest number of big attempts to score or assist in his last six matches.

Ted Talks FPL

FPL Nymfria

Everton’s Richarlison celebrates

With two goals in two games, Richarlison (£7.9m) could be a great pick for Double Gameweek 26. At just 6.8% ownership, he is a differential with great fixtures against Southampton and West Brom.

Raheem Sterling (£11.6m) isn’t cheap, but the Manchester City attack and the England international specifically are both back and firing. With three goals and one assist in the last five Gameweeks, Sterling is a great pick.

FPL Nymfria

El Statto

Manchester City’s Phil Foden

Dominic Calvert-Lewin (£7.6m) faces Southampton at home followed by West Brom away. Two teams he will get plenty of opportunities against, especially West Brom who have only won once at home this season. I expect him to return well for his owners.

My second pick is a bit of a gamble but after being rested in Double Gameweek 25 I think Phil Foden (£6.1m) could start both games in Double Gameweek 26, depending on what happens in the Champions League midweek. With six goals and five assists so far, he offers great potential in front of goal.

El Statto

FPL Greece

Barnes matches Vardy's output over last four ahead of Double Gameweek

Leicester City’s Harvey Barnes

Harvey Barnes (£6.8m) has been the biggest attacking threat of Leicester in the last few Gameweeks, with back to back double digit returns. Barnes is a great differential, against opposition that we can see Leicester scoring against in this Double Gameweek.

Calvert-Lewin and Everton’s confidence sky-high after a huge win in Merseyside derby. He has shaken off his recent injury, and with James Rodriguez (£7.7m) and Lucas Digne (£6.1m) looking in very good shape, Calvert-Lewin looks a good bet for attacking returns in Gameweek 26.

FPL Greece

FPL Crypto

Kane and Son both return in new formation as Spurs breeze past Sheffield United 3

Harry Kane

Although Harry Kane (£11.1m) has blanked in Spurs’ last two Gameweeks, he did register eight goal attempts in that period which is joint top among FPL forwards. Two favourable fixtures against Burnley and Fulham looks a primed for a reversal of fortunes.

Ricardo Pereira (£5.9m) lined up very advanced versus Aston Villa in Gameweek 25. In fact, his heatmap almost mirrored Barnes on the opposite flank. Leicester host Arsenal followed by a trip to Burnley and Pereira could prove to be a great differential with only 0.6% ownership.

FPL Crypto

FF Titan

Manchester City’s Raheem Sterling

Since Gameweek 11, Sterling has only blanked three times in 14 starts. He already has nine goals and seven assists this season and is performing at the highest level of consistency. He is a triple captain possibility in our opinion.

Calvert-Lewin returned from injury for 28 minutes in Gameweek 25 where he earned a penalty. He already has 13 goals and assists assists to his name this season and faces a Southampton team who have not kept a clean sheet in seven games and West Brom who have the worst defensive record in the league.

FF Titans

Bendito Fantasy

Returning Digne can help Everton's attacking assets return to form in Gameweek 20

Everton’s Lucas Digne

Lucas Digne (£6.1m) has eight assists this season and Everton are brimming with confidence after a historic win at Anfield. Digne has registered three goal attempts in the last four Gameweeks and has put in 30 crosses during the same period. Clean sheets can be a concern but with two favourable fixtures, we can expect returns at both ends of the pitch. – Gerardo

Leicester continues to impress, and the goals and points are coming from midfield. In the last four Gameweeks, Barnes is second only to James Maddison (£7.3m) in goal attempts, however has more shots inside the box and a lower number of minutes per xG. If he continues this form we can expect 0.08 points per minute played from him, only surpassed by Ilkay Gündogan (£6.1m) and Bruno Fernandes (£11.6m). – Leo

Bendito Fantasy

FPL Experiment

Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne

Barnes has amassed 25 points in his last two games. He is showing a burst of form that coincides with the return of Vardy. The Leicester midfielder is only in 11% of teams too, which makes him a great differential for such a consistent performer.

The return of Kevin De Bruyne (£11.8m) is very interesting too. Whether he is playing as a centre forward or marauding midfielder, when he’s on the pitch he is central to everything Manchester City do. With most managers focusing their attention elsewhere, an overlooked De Bruyne could provide the rank jump we’re looking for!

    What do we reckon boys?

    A) BB - Kilman to max 4.8 (-4)

    McCarthy | Bamford | Dallas | 4.8 def

    B) TC Kane (no hit)

    Rest of XI are DGWers

    Thanks

      Would not BB that tbh.
Would build towards a GW38 BB later on in your case.
I know Leeds one 3-0 last time against Villa, and Bamford scored a hattie, but BB'ing 3 SGW players against somewhat tough opponents does not look right to me.
TC Kane looks better, but even that is a bit risky when it is against Burnley and Fulham. Both doing good at the back of late.

Must be TC surely for you of all people.

Dodgy BB. Two possibly awkward defences but much the most likely TC all season

Anyone else looking to bring in Maitland-Niles for next GW?

    Pros:
    OOP
    Decent DGW
Good GW27 fixture where teams like City, Man U, Everton & Chelsea have tougher fixtures.
    Good GW28

    Cons:
    Plays for WBA
No GW29 fixture (I don't mind since I will FH)

The greatest thing about him besides the OOP is the fact he is cheap. Don't really need to use a transfer to downgrade him to free up funds for the last 1/3 of the season.
And is it a decent DGW tbf.
He will probably have about the same odds of a CS as Chelsea defenders.

But Bamford's fixtures fall off a cliff from GW31. Watkins' aren't much better. Antonio's are better than both.

So it is all about a SGW this week with a game in 29 or a DGW this week (with better fixtures in 27 & 28) who also plays in 29...

        Easy actually. Sell Bamford

WC this week with 11 DGWers, have enough transfers to field 11 week 29 (if I want to) and BB week 30 when all my non-premium players have good fixtures.

Better option for the next 3 gameweeks?

    A) Son (BUR/ful, CRY, ars)
    B) Vardy (ARS/bur, bha, SHU)

    Have Kane & Barnes also

I know Son plays in GW29 which is an advantage for him but I can do Vardy & Barnes to Son & Watkins/Bamford for free in GW29 as Leicester have a blank followed by Man City in GW30.

Are these transfer worth doing for -4?

    Sterling / Bamford / Pope >> H.Barnes / Kane / Areola

That will give me this team to BB...

    Martinez / Areola
    Cancelo / Shaw / Dallas / Mee / Taylor
    Bruno / Salah / Gundo / Barnes / Raph
    Kane(c) / Watkins / DCL

I'd go Kane, KDB, Fernandes Salah, DCL, Son, Vardy, Gundo, Sterling...its going to be an interesting week.

I don't understand this DCL love for captain. He didn't start vs Liverpool and it was only a little over a week ago that Everton were in the dumps after losing 2-0 to Fulham. He's definitely worth buying but captain?

They are a very inconsistent team. They can have some very good performances but an equal number of lost and poor ones. One derby win over a Pool side in the dumps doesn't really prove much imo.

Bruno, Kane >>> Gundo, Sterling, Salah, Son, Barnes, DCL

This, though gundo only in the second tier due to gametime questions coming back from an injury

Is this just a stupid -8?

Pope, Saka, Ings to Steer, McBurnie, Kane (TC)

Allows me to keep Sterling and Salah

Please update your linked team. I went there to check for more context for your team before replying, but the link's dead

Without context, this feels like it will backfire far too easily if Kane blanks or only scores once

Yeah Martinez is my other goalie.

          Team would be

          Martinez
          Mee, Stones, Cancelo
          Salah, Sterling, Bruno, Raphinha
          Bamford, DCL, Kane

          Subs: Steer, Dallas, McBurnie, Coufal

I'm on a WC and planning to buy him.... if he plays regularly in 26, then I will use BB in 27 or 28. If not, I will save BB and can bench Luke due to his low price

      Morning,

I'll be using BB this week with the following players:

      Areola, Lowton, Bamford, Dallas.

Would you consider any of the following transfers to be worthwile:

      A) Dallas ----> (either) Keane or Reguillon (-4pts)
      B) Bamfrord ----> Diagne (-4pts)
      C) Bamford & Dallas ----> Richarlison & Bartley (-8pts)
      D None of the above

      Cheeeeeers!

Smith's quote Feb 21: "Jack has had discomfort in training, we'll assess it as we go. It's not a recurrence of an old injury and it's not long-term. I hope he'll be back for Leeds."
