Scout Network

Which Double Gameweek 26 players are the Scout Networking considering?

The pool of viable players for Double Gameweek 26 of Fantasy Premier League is wider than ever – so how do we identify the best options?

14 teams have two fixtures scheduled for the next round of action which means a lot of research is needed before Saturday’s deadline.

With the biggest Double Gameweek of the season looming we asked the members of the Scout Network for their top picks.

Ted Talks FPL

West Bromwich Albion’s Mbaye Diagne

In the five games Mbaye Diagne (£6.0m) has played for West Bromwich Albion, he has registered three attacking returns and has the second highest xGI per 90 amongst other forwards.

Jamie Vardy (£10.1m) is a differential among teams in the top 500k with just 5% ownership, yet he has returned in his last two games and has the highest number of big attempts to score or assist in his last six matches.

Ted Talks FPL

FPL Nymfria

Everton’s Richarlison celebrates

With two goals in two games, Richarlison (£7.9m) could be a great pick for Double Gameweek 26. At just 6.8% ownership, he is a differential with great fixtures against Southampton and West Brom.

Raheem Sterling (£11.6m) isn’t cheap, but the Manchester City attack and the England international specifically are both back and firing. With three goals and one assist in the last five Gameweeks, Sterling is a great pick.

FPL Nymfria

El Statto

Manchester City’s Phil Foden

Dominic Calvert-Lewin (£7.6m) faces Southampton at home followed by West Brom away. Two teams he will get plenty of opportunities against, especially West Brom who have only won once at home this season. I expect him to return well for his owners.

My second pick is a bit of a gamble but after being rested in Double Gameweek 25 I think Phil Foden (£6.1m) could start both games in Double Gameweek 26, depending on what happens in the Champions League midweek. With six goals and five assists so far, he offers great potential in front of goal.

El Statto

FPL Greece

Barnes matches Vardy's output over last four ahead of Double Gameweek

Leicester City’s Harvey Barnes

Harvey Barnes (£6.8m) has been the biggest attacking threat of Leicester in the last few Gameweeks, with back to back double digit returns. Barnes is a great differential, against opposition that we can see Leicester scoring against in this Double Gameweek.

Calvert-Lewin and Everton’s confidence sky-high after a huge win in Merseyside derby. He has shaken off his recent injury, and with James Rodriguez (£7.7m) and Lucas Digne (£6.1m) looking in very good shape, Calvert-Lewin looks a good bet for attacking returns in Gameweek 26.

FPL Greece

FPL Crypto

Kane and Son both return in new formation as Spurs breeze past Sheffield United 3

Harry Kane

Although Harry Kane (£11.1m) has blanked in Spurs’ last two Gameweeks, he did register eight goal attempts in that period which is joint top among FPL forwards. Two favourable fixtures against Burnley and Fulham looks a primed for a reversal of fortunes.

Ricardo Pereira (£5.9m) lined up very advanced versus Aston Villa in Gameweek 25. In fact, his heatmap almost mirrored Barnes on the opposite flank. Leicester host Arsenal followed by a trip to Burnley and Pereira could prove to be a great differential with only 0.6% ownership.

FPL Crypto

FF Titan

Manchester City’s Raheem Sterling

Since Gameweek 11, Sterling has only blanked three times in 14 starts. He already has nine goals and seven assists this season and is performing at the highest level of consistency. He is a triple captain possibility in our opinion.

Calvert-Lewin returned from injury for 28 minutes in Gameweek 25 where he earned a penalty. He already has 13 goals and assists assists to his name this season and faces a Southampton team who have not kept a clean sheet in seven games and West Brom who have the worst defensive record in the league.

Returning Digne can help Everton's attacking assets return to form in Gameweek 20

Everton’s Lucas Digne

Lucas Digne (£6.1m) has eight assists this season and Everton are brimming with confidence after a historic win at Anfield. Digne has registered three goal attempts in the last four Gameweeks and has put in 30 crosses during the same period. Clean sheets can be a concern but with two favourable fixtures, we can expect returns at both ends of the pitch. – Gerardo

Leicester continues to impress, and the goals and points are coming from midfield. In the last four Gameweeks, Barnes is second only to James Maddison (£7.3m) in goal attempts, however has more shots inside the box and a lower number of minutes per xG. If he continues this form we can expect 0.08 points per minute played from him, only surpassed by Ilkay Gündogan (£6.1m) and Bruno Fernandes (£11.6m). – Leo

Bendito Fantasy

FPL Experiment

Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne

Barnes has amassed 25 points in his last two games. He is showing a burst of form that coincides with the return of Vardy. The Leicester midfielder is only in 11% of teams too, which makes him a great differential for such a consistent performer.

The return of Kevin De Bruyne (£11.8m) is very interesting too. Whether he is playing as a centre forward or marauding midfielder, when he’s on the pitch he is central to everything Manchester City do. With most managers focusing their attention elsewhere, an overlooked De Bruyne could provide the rank jump we’re looking for!

Not sure why people are being so quick to sell Grealish when they could hold on till Villa press conference on Friday?... What am I missing here?

You're not going to get accurate information in that press conference - Dean Smith has already shown that he is willing to play games on this one

True.... But I think it's still worth holding on till Friday. I mean if Grealish plays both games in this DGW, his haul could be massive!

Of course I don't expect him to give away much in the Friday presser, but I'll wait and see before shipping him out. Could do a direct swap for Maddison depending on Leceister news.

All of them have attacking potential, but:

A - SOU and WBA. I see them conceding against both. Everton hasn't been too good against teams below them. Have had just two clean sheets the whole season.

B - Just 4 clean sheets in the last 10. Did not play the full 90 in 2 of those. Plays Chelsea in his first.

C - Played OOP last GW and looked deadly. Can get another game there. Leicester has kept more clean sheets than the other two. Loves to shoot. I see at least one goal in those two fixtures.

Listened to pod tonight. They’re up to their 18th CB pairing this season (and counting) and I don’t think any has lasted more than 3 consecutive games
Depends if Klopp feels Fabinho needed in midfield (unlikely) which means interchange between Kabak Phillips and even Davies

      Decent chance
With Hendo out it would be nice to see Fabinho move back to midfield but unlikely.

Only way I can get Kane is my ditching 1 of the below. I'm going to TC Kane as I am chasing a 65 point lead in mini league.

    So who goes, you decide?!

    A) Salah
    B) Bruno
    C) Son
    D) Digne

Surely Digne ? And yes I am aware he has a good double and maybe another in 28.

For those with WC, BB but used FH and playing TC this GW what do people see as the best plan?

    My current thoughts
Use FTs to get 9 or so for GW29.
    WC shortly afterwards
No idea when to BB - maybe leave it late in the hope some cheap starters emerge?

    1. Ruth_NZ
      • 9 Years

BB30 works well for those playing 29 with no FH. WC31 then follows perfectly.

Interesting - will have to work it through but think I’d still have Coufal (wol), Johnstone (che), Mitchell (eve/0) on the bench with one FT and assuming no injuries.

It does mean you can focus on first 11 for the WC which is attractive.

    Best option on bb?

    A) Bamford > DCL
    B) Bamford + raphinha + dallas > DCL + reed + r.pereira - 8

Think R.pereira offers an incredible differential with his fixtures and with the doubles think the hit could pay off, would probably want some of those leeds players back from 29 tho

Here’s my team with playing BB this week:

    Martinez
    Stones Dias targett shaw
    Salah Bruno Barnes gundogan
    DCL Kane

    Areola Dallas raphinha bamford

How many of the Leeds would you lose (don’t have FH)? Thinking bamford and Dallas to Watkins and sub 6m defender and keep raphinha

I actually prefer Reguilon haha. Saves me a transfer in 29. The fixtures for defense are also better. Burnley, Fulham and Palace are 3 of the worst teams for xG.

Reguilon also compares favorably to Pereira offensively. In the last 6 matches played he has higher xG and xA.

If he doesn't start in Europe I think I'm gonna go for him.

I really like the look of A, but B has a good chance of matching/beating A and prepares better for GW29

        Yep basically this.

Although I can still field 9 in GW29 with plan A no hits required.

        Aiming for:

        Martinez
        Burn Reguilon
        Son Raphinha Grealish
        Kane Bamford Watkins

With B I could get two more depending on whether I want to lose Digne and Gundogan/Fernandes for the FTs.

If Grealish is confirmed out (or enough evidence to suggest he probably is) would it be the right decision to drop Watkins for Vardy on WC? I have Barnes already.

        Risky to go without Spurs?

If keeping Rashford I consider Barnes for Raphina, as I have FH for GW 29

Agree KDB is rusty at the moment, 20 mins then 70 at Emirates, maybe a full return in CL then see how he looks for WHU fixture

It's close. Villa have better fixtures, but if you don't have a free hit, Fulham play in GW29.

KDB hasn't proven his worth over Gundogan and Sterling yet. He'll come good, but I'm not sure how reliable he is in fixture congestion when coming back from injury and the team's already been blowing everybody away without him

Heck, I'd take Sterling over three players on that list. Sterling's purple patch started in GW11 and it still hasn't ended. He does this every season. Get him when he starts his run, sell him when he switches to his blank run

      Choosing from those options: ABD

    Anyone looking at Rodriguez?

On much more limited minutes he has 2 hauls to DCL 3 hauls. DCL has been generally consistent rather than explosive.

I’ve owned him for a while and he’s been quite frustrating with minutes being managed.

I’ll obviously keep but think there’s better options in midfield.

        A differential pick for sure

But prefer his fixtures to Barnes on reflection and Everton have the benefit of no EL.

Given the option of the two I’d be very close to bringing him in

Yeah definitely a lot of upside to him (arguably more than DCL as you say).

It’s a tough choice (I own both him and Barnes) - feel Rodriguez has more upside but also more downside.

Everyone is rushing to Barnes, but if Maddison is fit he is arguably a stronger bet, and if he isn't the team is weaker

    Advice appreciated!

    A) Watkins & Barnes
    B) Watkins & DCL
    C) Watkins & Digne
    D) DCL & Barnes (-4).

Bite the bullet and go for D and get Watkins in when Grealish returns?

    Cheers
