Scout Network

How many Spurs assets are the Scout Network considering for DGW32?

Fantasy Premier League managers are eyeing up Spurs assets this week as they are the only team to play twice in Double Gameweek 32.

José Mourinho’s men are joint-second among Premier League teams for scoring the most first goals in games, while they are worst in the division for number of goals conceded in the last 10 minutes.

What impact will that have on how we invest in their assets this week? We asked the Scout Network what they think…

FPL Experiment

How Spurs' FPL assets fared in their final match before Double Gameweek 32 7

Both Harry Kane (£11.7m) and Son Heung-min (£9.4m) will be in our team for Double Gameweek 32. Rotation is definitely a concern, with EFL Cup final on the horizon but Mourinho isn’t exactly blessed with a squad that allows him to rest his best players. And with Europa League qualification at risk, the simple fact is Tottenham need to win their league games, so I cannot see Son getting dropped, especially against  a side he scored four against earlier in the season.

We won’t be going anywhere near the Spurs defence. Bizarrely, given that it’s a Mourinho team, this is the worst side for expected goals conceded in the last two games and one of those was against an injury ravaged Newcastle outfit.

FPL Experiment

FF Titans

Spurs’ Double Gameweek 32 fixtures genuinely create a headache for FPL managers. There is temptation to triple-up Spurs assets but they will immediately have a Blank Gameweek 33 afterwards. That said, their run-in is respectable, with home games against Sheffield United, Wolves and Aston Villa to come.

Son and Kane are key for Double Gameweek 32, if managers want to triple-up then Lucas Moura (£6.6m) has started the last six games and has contributed three assists in his last four.

FF Titans

Fantasy Chat

Having Son Heung-Min (£9.4m) and Harry Kane (£11.7m) is as essential as it can get if you can afford to bench them in Gameweek 33 as their fixtures continue to be strong beyond that.

Personally I wouldn’t consider any other options given their blank in Gameweek 33 and the fact that many FPL managers still hold Manchester City assets in our squads and they also blank in Gameweek 33. Given Spurs’ poor defensive form and the amount of rotation in their backline, I wouldn’t look at any options in defence. Other options in attack are limited but Lucas Moura (£6.6m) who is in fine form is your best bet aside from Son and Kane. The season defining League Cup Final a few days after the Southampton game could mean rotation so managers should tread with caution.

Fantasy Chat – Kareem

El Statto

How Spurs' FPL assets fared in their final match before Double Gameweek 32 5

I’m going into the Spurs double with Son and Kane. I’m not too sure there is much value in going with a third attacker. Hugo Lloris (£5.6m) is the safest option in defence due to Mourinho’s rotation, especially with centre-backs, but playing Everton and Southampton I can see both scoring so gains could be minimal.

El Statto

FPL Nymfria

Heading into a Double Gameweek it’s always a good time to remind ourselves that this season, not many Double Gameweek players have delivered as promised. With that in mind, I think just owning one or at the most two Spurs assets will be enough.

I wouldn’t look much outside of Son and Kane, but if at this stage you want to have fun with it and add to them, then Moura, with his three assist in the last four Gameweeks, could be a nice differential.

FPL Nymfria

FPL Froggies

If your are chasing in your mini-leagues take a risk and go for three Spurs players. But it is worth considering that, you will probably have to take a minus-four in Blank Gameweek 33 to replace two of Spurs in their blank. For me I’ll be sticking with just Son and Kane.

If you are looking for a third then I would be avoiding the defence as they just aren’t keeping clean sheets, however if you have one I would hold. Moura seems to have the biggest potential, but Tanguy Ndombélé (£5.9m) would make a great differential pick.

Scout Network: Thinking ahead to the blank and double Gameweek in 18 and 19

Last week Sam from FPLFamily was joined on Scout The Gameweek by Grayham from FPL Focus. They looked back on Gameweek 30 and ahead to Gameweek 31. Next week Sam is joined by Pete and Dubs from FPL Side Net to review Gameweek 31 and look ahead to Gameweek 32.

FPL Nymfria – released her Gameweek Preview looking at her Wildcard options for Gameweek 31. She also shone a spotlight on some of the players picks to consider in the coming Gameweeks which you can watch here.

El Statto – The weekly Wildcard feature over on the Jumpers For Goalposts website has been proving really popular, as has their differential picks article. These two features have been really helpful for the community, as they deal with the key talking points of the FPL game.

FF Titans – Ahead of Matchday 10 in the UCL Fantasy game FF Titans have been focusing on differential and captain picks, with one eye especially on players who are more likely to progress to Matchday 11.

With most likely to own Kane and/or Son maybe look elsewhere for a differential this week? We’ve put together an XI who we feel could be good options for this gameweek: https://jumpersforgoalposts.info/fpl-gw32-differentials-xi/

Who do I get as Sterling replacement?

A...Bruno (attempt ro make up gap by other means)

    B...rashford

    C...madison

    D....greenwood

B, C, D all 100 per cent differentials . Also keen to break into top 100k so don't want to totally sabotage my season

Shaw - Dias - Reguillon - Dallas Phillips)
Salah - Fernandes - Lingard - Jota (Ødegård)
    Kane - Iheanacho (DCL)

    0.1 ITB and 0 FT

    Morning peeps!

    After a relatively decent GW, I'd appreciate any advise for the next DGW;

    I am tempted to BB;

    Mendy
    Holding Coady Rudiger
    Salah Son(vc) Bruno Lingard Jota
    Kane(C) Iheanacho

    Forster Phillips Dias Vydra

Have 1 FT so could do Dias to Reguilon or Shaw and the bench boost will look better!

    An suggestions are much appreciated.

if you bring in shaw i personally wouldn't bench boost as Forster playing spurs so cant see him keeping a clean sheet, and then shaw and vydra will counteract each other in points as if burnley score shaw loses clean sheet but chance of vydra getting points.
Also with spurs poor defence at the moment regulion is also a risk
Personally i would hold onto your transfer and BB chip as your starting XI looks strong for this week but that is just my opinion!

    Morning All,

what to do with my FT? and would you bench boost this?

    subs: Forster Robertson Holding Vydra

Roll it if you're happy to risk no Lingard.

      1. JabariParkersEyelid
        • 4 Years

I don't understand this logic. How far back would you be of where you want to actually TC Son over Kane?

It just feels like if you're chasing and you have the TC chip left, surely you should use it on the best option? Which definitely looks to be Kane.

        1. Utopsis
          • 4 Years
          2 years, 11 months ago

Fair challenge. The logic is that, if you're chasing, your rival in the lead is almost certainly going to captain (or TC Kane). Whilst Kane is the most obvious choice (ie with his EO, captaining him is less likely to ruin your rank, regardless of how he performs), Son is definitely the differenrial option, as his EO will be much lower. A player of his quality, also playing twice, has the potential to give you some serious rank gains, and there is every possibility he outscores Kane.

For example, in DGW26, Son scored 14, Kane scored 8. On TC, that's 42 vs 24.

So, Kane is the safe option, Son is the explosive one.

        2. Utopsis

          Explosive = risky

    7. Botman and Robben

You could captain Son. But if Kane does better by a significant margin, your rank/ML position will take a serious hit. I see little upside.

    Hey guys.

    Salah > Son this gameweek?

Would mean a -4 is required in 33 to get 11 players out.

Really in two minds about the transfer. I am ranked 2k so it would be a defensive move to block son owners.

Also own regulion, other option is pope > lloris.

    Thanks all!

33 isn’t an issue for me - I’m not sure the appeal of 35, what am I missing?

35 is expected to he a double game week. There is almost certainly going to be a bigger double than this week at some point.

What's the -8? I'd probably just take that regardless and save FH but be good to know.

I don't see the upside here. You're free hitting to a team that is very similar to those who wildcarded last week.

You can probably get to something relatively close to this with a hit or 2 over the coming weeks.

The free hit is the most powerful chip you have, this feels like a bit of a waste.

Mainly because I understand there could be a big DGW35 and a BGW36, plus running out of weeks....

        Would be:

        Martinez (WBA)
        Targett (WBA)
        TAA (NEW)
        Shaw (lee)
        Coufal (CHE)
        Jota (NEW)
        Auba (EVE)
        Raphina (MUN)
        Watkins (WBA)
        Bamford (MUN)

Plus whoever I bring in for 33. Maybe Dunk/Trossard (shu) if ditching Cancelo/Gundo, or Vardy (CPL) if ditching Kane before a 34WC. Have value in Kane though so not sure about that.

Decent enough, maybe save the FH for the blank and double in 35/36 then

Watkins -> Iheanacho with 1FT this week? Have Kane/Son already and don't want a third Spurs.

Probably not a priority transfer but yes I’d probably do it

yeah I get that, nothing else urgent really.. I've been hanging onto him for the DGW but I feel like it's been pointless when I could have switched to Kelechi earlier

Only thing with nacho Is he could get injured in cup game or ref card.

        Bit of a risk ?

What's life without a bit of risk.

Honestly, sure something could happen but it's not like Kelechi has played tons and tons of minutes this season or has a disciplinary record. I have him already and I'm starting with confidence.

      Who is your 3rd forward?

Not sure I'd lose Watkins as he has a good fixture in GW33 and a potential DGW coming up.

    Forster Raphinha Rudiger Phillips

Good enough for a BB? Or save for possible dgw35?

On the basis that Ruidger and Phillips are likely going nowhere and have decent cs chances here on in I'd wait for a fixture where one of the other two are good also.

If you're holding Raph then that means just getting past 33 - he could pop up with one any time but the next two are the worst he has.

Don’t have Raph yet, just a placeholder I put for Neto... still unsure what to do with my transfers but may just roll with Neto on the bench this week and make a double transfer next week. Then BB in 35

With all cups and extra games . I not sure when I would play BB.

      Hold imo

Forster vs Palace in 35 possibly. Rudiger and Phillips might make it worth your while this time I guess

Was absolutely kicking myself for going Neto and Wood over Lingard and Vydra On WC last week.

Worth a -4 this week to make these moves? Would mean I could BB with a decent squad.

Did fancy Neto at home v SHU but not sure of fitness.

What to do? Moves A and B would involve a BB this week...

    A. Fofana + Neto —> Holding + Lingard (-4)
    B. Neto —> Raphinha/Pereira (for free)
    C. Roll and save BB for another day

    1. CONNERS
      • 5 Years

I'd do A as you'll want Lingard for the rest of the season and BB will help to negate the hit.

    Morning

Assuming all start, which 3 would you play from the below?

    1) Stones AVL (A)
    2) Rudiger BHA (H)
    3) Cresswell NEW (A)
    4) Dallas LIV (H)

Looking ahead to BGW after rolling FT, I don't think I can go into BGW33 with Alonso and no subs.

Thoughts on Pereira or Masuaku as a replacement.

    2FT 0.0itb
    Mendy
    Rudiger TAA Dallas Holding Alonso*
    Lingard Bruno Jota Salah
    Nacho
