Allsvenskan Fantasy Scout – Picks GW2

With Gameweek 1 put to the books and the Allsvenskan Fantasy game charging on, we are treated with a slew of big games this coming weekend as Häcken entertain Malmö, AIK travel to Göteborg and Djurgården attempts to build upon their successful start at home to Norrköping.

Gameweek 1 review

This section is intended to house some personal thoughts alongside community reviews going forward, the content contained within dependant on available time and interest from the community here and on Twitter. We will try to keep it somewhat short and sweet with the key takeaways taking the central stage.

@poohdini59 on Twitter provided us with these superb summaries of data points from GW1:

allsvenskan-fantasy-scout-picks-gw2 1
allsvenskan-fantasy-scout-picks-gw2

As you can see Jacob Bergström was perhaps a bit unlucky not to score and might find an open Hammarby a better opportunity to get on the scoresheet. Malmö and AIK were the big xG performers but Mjällby and Kalmar are very high up there in terms of shots in the box.

Overall while defenders tend to do well in Allsvenskan Fantasy, this amount of clean sheets seem unsustainable and we could see a lot more goals in GW2.

    Great thanks Petter, I'm going to save a transfer and roll with the same 11 as last week, a distinctly average score but let's see if my picks can improve - or prove they need to go!. Armband punt on Johan Larsson for me this week.

      Not sure it’s that punty of a cap in the Twittersphere at least, looks to be heavily captained tbh!

    Great review Meltens, thanks for this. I'll also be saving my transfer this week. Not sure about captaincy yet, but thinking of putting the armband on Ludwigson.

      I would 100% cap
      Ludwigson if I had him, alas I don’t so it’s looking like J Larsson.

    Sensible selections, Meltens. Looking to save FT this week. It will give me more flexibility as more information will be made available.

    Great selection, Petter. I believe 3-4-3 will pay off this gw. I wish I had a couple of Hammarby assets but imposible for now, so I’ll the J Larsson captaincy crew. Really love that Degerfors double up in attack. High ceiling picks. Bravo.

    1FT: Jeremejeff to Colak. Managed to get it in a few hours before the price rise - hopefully I don't end up wanting to reverse this by Sunday night.

    GW2: Nilsson Säfqvist, (Påhlsson);
    J.Larsson (K), Witry, Nilsson, Jallow, Knudsen;
    Haksabanovic (V), Chilufya, Sana, (Carlén, Nanasi);
    Adegbenro, Colak, (Vilhelmsson).

    Decent score of 61 in GW1 despite the Haksabanovic (C) flop. Hopefully Larsson can do the job this time around. Good luck all!

      That’s a very good score! Colak is a very exciting prospect. Adengbero is a doubt btw. Heck news before deadline and if he’s out just play carlen I’d say. Great fixture for him.

        Cheers mate. Yeah, it's a shame, but I knew that and am fairly confident Carlén would be able to get me a solid 4 or 5 off the bench with that fixture. First sub for sure.

    Managed 52 points last GW. Not bad, but not good either. Looking at this GW, I originally planned to save a FT, but I now need to find a replacement for Adegbenro. I kept 1.0 in the bank from last GW, so I got 8.5 to spend on a striker – but who?

    The team right now:

    Jansson
    Witry - Jallow - Strand - Olsson
    Haksabanovic - Sana - Chilufya - Heintz
    Adegbenro* - Jeremejeff
    (Gal - Hellborg - Silverholt - Nilsson)

    Another great article. Thanks to all for the content. A decent if unspectacular GW 1 (56 points) and I think I’ll stick with no transfers this week:

    Diawara (Gal)
    Witry / Jallow / Nilsson / Almeback (Ahmedhodzic)
    Ludwigson (c) / Heintz / Chilufya / Haksabanovic (Hellborg)
    Jeremejeff / Hummet (v) (Silverholt)

    Good luck all.

    A bit early, but I wonder what my priority transfers should be? 2 FT and 0.0 in the bank.

    Team:

    Nilsson-Säfqvist
    Larsson, Witry, Jallow, Strans, J. Nilsson
    Haksa, Sana, Heintz, Chilifuya (Gustafsson)
    Jeremejieff, Edvardsen, (Mortensen)
