Pope returns for Burnley after two-game absence

Having been sidelined for the past two gameweeks with a shoulder injury, Nick Pope (£5.5m) takes up his rightful position between the Burnley posts in Blank Gameweek 33.

Matej Vydra (£4.8m) is also back in the Clarets XI, having been sacrificed for the trip to Manchester United last weekend as Sean Dyche opted for an extra body in midfield.

The budget forward does have extra competition for that spot partnering Chris Wood (£6.3m), however, with Ashley Barnes (£6.0m) fit enough to take a place on the bench alongside Jay Rodriguez (£5.7m).

Josh Brownhill (£4.9m), who played in a more advanced role against Man Utd, moves to right midfield as Johann Berg Gudmundsson (£5.4m) drops to the bench.

For Wolves, Ruben Neves (£5.1m) makes a slightly surprising return to action after Nuno revealed that the midfielder was still isolating on Friday.

Neves replaces his compatriot Joao Moutinho (£5.1m), who is absent from the Wolves squad.

“Ruben [Neves] was in isolation, he tested on Friday and had the clearance on the afternoon. Unfortunately, Joao [Moutinho] had a small injury and he cannot be in the game.” – Nuno Espirito Santo

Conor Coady (£5.0m) plays alongside Romain Saiss (£5.0m) and Willy Boly (£5.4m) in a familiar back-three system for Wolves.

Tipped in FFScout’s weekly ‘Spot the Differential’ article ahead of Blank Gameweek 33, Daniel Podence (£5.3m) will operate as part of Nuno’s front three alongside Willian José (£6.8m) and Adama Traoré (£6.1m).

Wolves XI: Patricio; Saiss, Coady, Boly; Ait-Nouri, Dendoncker, Neves, Semedo; Podence, Willian Jose, A Traore.

Burnley XI: Pope; Taylor, Mee, Tarkowski, Lowton; McNeil, Westwood, Cork, Brownhill; Wood, Vydra.

I only just realised how unlucky I was with my wildcard - 6 of my starters got injured or ill within 3 weeks of playing it! And that probably still hasn’t cost me as many points as my foolish decision not bring Lingard in. Treading water in my mini leagues and OR as a result. Roll on next season, this one’s been a bit too chaotic for my liking!..

Paul Ince saying Mark Hughes or Steve Bruce would do better/as good as OGS after Mourinho.
And he wonders why nobody takes him seriously or why he can't get a decent job managing again.

He is recently in form and the options for strikers is awful currently.

I don't have Wood, I brought in Watkins as the safe dull pick who has a double game. But Wood was up there in the list of like 3 possible targets when you already own Kane and Iheanacho buy can't afford Vardy

But doesn’t almost everyone prioritise Son, Salah, Fernandes, Jota ie 5 in midfield?

It’s just Wood want even close to being on my radar. So keen to learn as I obv missed something

Brought him on wildcard gw 31 hasn't really been good this season, but thought he would burst to life in the last few fixtures of the season. Had decent fixtures too. By gw 31 there were slim pickings for strikers as well, was either him Maupay Ings who blanked in 33, laca who was risk rotation and way more expensive or watkins, who I guess was okay but tough fixtures. My gut instincts picks always tend to do better than my stat-backed picks.

One of the big chances I’m going to try and follow next season is look at GWs in sets of 2-3.

Balances out some of the luck (both good and bad) of single GW scores and encourages better decision making

The plain nastiness and selfish, personal attacks on fellow members by a small minority on the forumthe last few days (in relation to the Newcastle goal and today's master-class) has me seriously questioning my membership next year.

Mods are either asleep or perhaps don't care enough, but it's been disgraceful.

I know it's my choice to visit the site, but that doesn't take away from the fact that there should be a certain standard expected from a site behind a (semi) pay wall.

    It's a real shame.

I reckon some of my comments could be taken that way, but I typically only do it to the people being asses in the first place.

Do agree though. The mods are about at times and I do see comments being deleted when reported - but (and I've commented about this before), it feels like the team aren't aware of their community standards. I'm partly unsurprised as it's not even obvious where to find them.
