Antonio and Cresswell back from injury as West Ham face unchanged Burnley

Fantasy Premier League’s second highest-scoring defender make a return from injury for tonight’s match at Turf Moor.

Aaron Cresswell (£5.6m), who trails only Stuart Dallas (£5.3m) for FPL points among players in his position, is back after a three-game absence for West Ham United’s trip to Burnley.

He’s not the only popular FPL asset who makes a playing comeback following a spell on the sidelines as Michail Antonio (£6.4m) returns for a first appearance since Gameweek 30.

Craig Dawson (£4.5m) is also available after suspension and returns to David Moyes’ starting XI.

The West Ham boss has made five changes in all, with Manuel Lanzini (£6.4m) and Said Benrahma (£5.9m) recalled along with that aforementioned trio.

Jarrod Bowen (£6.0m), Fabian Balbuena (£4.1m) and Ryan Fredericks (£4.3m) drop to the bench, while Angelo Ogbonna (£4.7m) and Mark Noble (£4.5m) are not in the squad at all.

On Ogbonna and Noble, Moyes said ahead of kick-off:

We lost them in the game against Chelsea last week, Angelo and Nobes. We’ve got a couple back but we lose a couple as well.

The Burnley team news is nowhere near as headline-grabbing, as manager Sean Dyche has unsurprisingly named exactly the same side that defeated Wolverhampton Wanderers 4-0 a week ago.

Chris Wood‘s (£6.4m) ownership has risen to a season-high 3.2% following his 20-point haul at Molineux.

A further 105,780 Fantasy managers recruited the Kiwi ahead of last Friday’s deadline.

Jesse Lingard (£6.7m) is the most-owned player on show by some distance, sitting in just under one in three of FPL squads overall and in 88% of the top 10,000 teams.

Burnley XI: Pope, Lowton, Tarkowski, Mee, Taylor, Brownhill, Westwood, Cork, McNeil, Vydra, Wood.

Subs: Peacock-Farrell, Norris, Gudmundsson, Barnes, Stephens, Rodriguez, Pieters, Bardsley, Dunne.

West Ham United XI: Fabianski, Cresswell, Coufal, Dawson, Diop, Benrahma, Lanzini, Lingard, Fornals, Soucek, Antonio.

Subs: Trott, Randolph, Balbuena, Alves, Bowen, Fredericks, Johnson, Odubeko, Coventry.

Coufal just casually approaching double figure assists for the season despite not even joining the league until GW4

Cresswell only has 2 more, and had corners to help him

5.5 & 6.0 next season respectively though, probably both off limits

Zero chance they defend that well again over an entire season. Coufal should be in convo for team of season.

You know what's funny? I owned him from gw 19 to 26 and sold Dawson. Dawson was scoring for fun that time and he did nothing. Sold him around 26, he transformed to vintage TAA since then. Timing is everything.

        I feel your pain.

I was so patient with Chris Wood - stuck with him through his COVID cancellation, sat & watched in horror as he handed his penalty vs. Liverpool to Ashley Barnes... then finally gave up when he got injured...

Only to see him start smashing in 7G 3A in 7 games when he gets back

Timing is everything in this game

Aye, I remember owning chris wood for the double too in 19, constant 2 pointers week in week out

Barkley instead of Grealish in GW6 and Laporte instead of Dias in GW10 were all stinkers that still haunt me... as was waiting a week on KDB > Gundo instead of doing it for West Brom... Werner instead of Kane in GW25 another mare ... pretty much self-sabotage at every turn

Just didn’t have the pulse of the season properly at all, oh well - always next year!

Don't feel bad. This was a season like no other. A lot of high ankers caught of guard. Very unpredictable season. Just focus on the gwks left that you can make a difference.

Chris Wood Captainer and Semedo Owner. Pretty happy with the overall result but annoyed Wood is missing out on BAPs. Every point counts! But counting my blessings. Cheeky captain punts have been my best source of green arrows.

Welp, pretty sure that’s my worst GW score I can remember, and a decent red arrow to boot! Kane fail, Rudiger out and the cancellation etc.

    Oh well

In a shocking turn of event Lingard has reverted back to performing like Lingard and not Lionel Messi

Only 8 players including Davis, Alonso, Lingard and C Kane. 3% green arrow still, I guess I should be happy with this result, but it's been a bumpy week. Rival has Wood, I have Lingard so the end was disappointing.

Well comfortably the worst week this year.
    22 pts.
    GW Rank - 7,400,000

    Dropped from OR-299 to OR-733.

Super bummed out to have my push for top-100 derailed. But the year's been great otherwise so not going to be too down.

    How'd everyone else go?

lol - i wish i had that foresight! but really it was Alonso, Fofana, Holding, Rudiger, J-Rod and no Spurs (cept-Kane) that killed me.
        Yikes.

Dawson is my 3rd sub next week. Is it worth doing Dawson to a non playing defender for a hit just in case I end up with Dawson in my starting 11 again?

If you've played him over the last 7 weeks you've actually taken a -2 for him (and that's not including the points his replacement would have got).

There’s a time & a place for reckless wanton transfer hit aggression - and it’s called the run-in

A time for your Wilfried Zaha’s and your Patrick Van Aanholt’s and your Calvert Lewis’s and all these mad Shane-Duffy DGW type manoeuvres

No point trying to limp into the top 100k, if you’re going to lose - lose big 🙂
