Premium Members of Fantasy Football Scout can now get their own Transfer Planner to help with their Fantasy Premier League (FPL) preparations for the 2021/22 season.

In a laboratory nestled deep under Scout Towers for the last few months, our very own Az has been joined by Rob and James, the brains behind the Championship Manager FPL game, in concocting a Transfer Planner exclusively for Fantasy Football Scout subscribers.

FPL pre-season: Trossard hits hat-trick from wing-back role 1

The Planner allows you to enter your FPL team as it currently is and then to set to work on what you would like it to become over the next few weeks, taking account of transfers, captaincies, chips and formation preferences.

The road ahead is kept up to date for you via a link to the Fantasy Football Scout Season Ticker and, if you think we’ve been a little too harsh on the Burnley attack or not given the Southampton defence enough credit, you can tweak the ratings to your satisfaction (or wildest dreams, as appropriate).

HOW TO USE IT

To get started, you fill in your player selections in the dropdown at the top of each player box on the Planner tab. Typing in the first few letters of a player name, or even “4.5” or “MUN” brings up a relevant shortlist to choose from.

Those same dropdown boxes are used to select your potential transfer targets in the columns for coming Gameweeks and your proposed starting XIs are indicated by tick boxes. Your transfer plans will be neatly summarised via In and Out sections at the foot of each Gameweek column.

If you want to narrow your focus to the next couple of unusual Gameweeks or jump ahead to consider the consequences of a hit there are “+” and “-” options for hiding and re-showing columns at the top of the Planner and Fixture Ticker tabs.

If your chosen FPL device doesn’t have an attached keyboard then downloading Google’s “Sheets” tab provides full functionality for mobiles and tablets.

HOW TO GET ONE

You’ll need to be an FFS Member to request your Transfer Planner. A link to the request form is available at the left-hand side of the Premium Members area. Fill that out and your sheet will be on its way, though please be patient during this initial release as each one must currently be despatched manually.

Once your Transfer Planner arrives, it may take 20-30 seconds to load when you first use it. The Transfer Planner needs an internet connection to stay active and may sometimes need to be refreshed to re-establish the link.

We genuinely think we’ve created something that’s simple, clean and that Fantasy managers will really benefit from using. Fill in the form now to start sorting your Jotas from your Willocks and paving the way for that pre-planned early Wildcard.

I had this exact team and decided to swap Coufal + Amartey for White + Ayling. I believe Leicester are buying Vestergaard so Amartey might only play one game. You wouldn't start him until GW3 anyway, but Ayling has a decent fixture there too.

Nice team. I’ve got Wilson and Raphinha instead of Toney and Gundogan, and Ayling and White instead of Coufal and Amartey.

Thanks for the feedback guys. Still deciding whether to swap Coufal and Amartey to two 4.5s. Coufal does have some good fixtures from gw3 though.

Is Rodrigo an option this year at £6.5m?

Feel he could be great value if he has a run in the team.

Also surely DDG is look a good option for the first 3/4 whilst Henderson is out?

    1. Tomerick

Prefer Raphinha and Harrison as proven assets at a similar price point.

Don’t really want to book a keeper transfer in when there are cheaper keepers with good fixtures.

I think he should have a run in the side based off pre season, I was very tempted to start with him as well but think I’ll add him to the wait and see list. Wouldn’t even mind a double up with him and a Leeds mid if he gets in form

Rodrigo is a wait and see for me but could be amazing value, g/a per 90 last season was just below Bamford's so I'm ready to jump on if it looks like he might get decent game time.

    Think I’m down to this:

    Sanchez
    TAA, Veltman, Tsimikas
    Salah, Bruno, Mahrez, Barnes
    Antonio, Wilson, Toney

    Foster, White, Gilmour, Ayling

Do I stick to my guns with Wilson or is it worth getting Ings in? My worry is that Ings is unattainable with this draft if he hits the ground running but the low ownership of Wilson makes me feel like he could be an early bandwagon if he starts well instead.

Folks, going without TAA in GW1 and playing Tsimikas instead (keeping the 3.5 itb to see how the first week plays out and gain more intel and also being able to switch right back to TAA if he's a beast), seeing that over the last few years the data shows that in the first six gameweeks, Liverpools clean-sheets stats is pretty pants (was on an earlier post, i'd need to find it).

Imagine how you could manoeuvre with that sort of cash if you feel you're better off spreading it around the team.

    Madness or?

    1. Tomerick
      • 11 Years
      4 years, 6 months ago

For me, Tsimikas is an added bonus to double up with Trent and get a benefit over all the other people who have him. You shouldn’t be expecting him to match Trent and you shouldn’t expect to be able to spread that cash around as Robbo will come back soon then you’ll be in a real pickle if Liverpool start well defensively.

Yeah, sound point. Fyi, I don't expect Tsim to match TAA on all the extra output he offers, just if TAA only gets a clean-sheet, then so does Tsi (and with the extra 3.5, i could be upgrading other attacking positions)...but I agree with overall picture you paint.

I guess, in an fpl world, where you think you've found 3.5mm cash, it's already a red-flag lol 🙂

        Cheers n gd luck

Im pretty set on my team now, but my only dilemma is the tsimikas situation, on the one hand I really think a 4.0 Liverpool defender is a rare opportunity, on the other hand I think Jota’s underlying stats are so good even if he doesn’t start, i think he’ll outscore Greenwood, Barnes, and Gundo in the first 3 GW

Anyone tempted to hit hard 1st 3 weeks and then wildcard once transfer window is shut ?
Or is it a waste of WC ?

You could load up heavy on LFC, Villa, Leicester, Brighton & WHU assets.

    B) Mahrez, Barnes

Think I prefer B. Rest of my forwards (442):

    Salah, Bruno, ____, ____ (Brownhill)
    Ings, Antonio (4.5)

Yeah if it weren’t for their opening fixtures I think I’d probably be on this one instead. Either way I consider Son/Mahrez as a placeholder, their funds can be used to get a Lukaku/Kane or go up to a KDB if needed in a few weeks.

It’s tough, I antipate that either son or Mahrez will be moved on and their funds used to get a premium striker. Mahrez looks nailed to start early on and it’s hard to overlook a nailed city player. Also prefer Barnes to Raph.

Should probably note that B also gives me 0.5m ITB left over.

    Option A

    Sanchez
    TAA, Tsimkas, Coufal
    Salah, Bruno, Torres, Barnes, Raphinha
    Ings, Antonio
    (Foster, Shaw, Amartey, Obafemi)

    Option B

    Bacmann
    TAA, Tsimkas, Shaw
    Salah, Bruno, Mahrez, Benrahma, Raphinha
    Ings, Antonio
    (Foster, White, Amartey, Obafemi

Amartey won’t play, Vestergaard should registered for Leicester in time for GW1. You will probably need to upgrade him to a 4.5.

I believe Vestergaard hasn't played in any pre season games, plus he's not even signed yet - personally think Amartey is good 4m option short term, although not sure I'd get him alongside Tsimkas as its 2 transfers waiting to happen

You will get a maximum of 1 full game out of Amartey IMO. He was expected to be ready to start this weekend for Southampton, but yeah he had no pre season minutes due to going deep in the euros.

Would say you get a minimum of 1 game - sometimes its best to go with current situation rather than factor in players who haven't even signed yet. I remember taking out James Justin on an early WC last season as Pereira was due back anytime and we know how that played out

He might be registered, but he won’t have trained with his new team… which is pretty vital for a central defender! Pretty sure Amartey will play the first week (when he’ll no doubt leave his clean sheet points on my bench), anything after that’s a bonus before he becomes 4.0 fodder

Already played with Bertrand and Schmeichel. Part of the reason it is him that is in is so he can slot straight into the side. Leicester have been after him for years. You will get one game IMO.

          Same.
I think Amartey plays this wknd and potentially in GW2.
GW3 would be a huge bonus - and you won't want him against City!
My stance on 'doubtful defenders' is: start them - just make sure your first sub is right.

B, but I think in both cases, I'd be inclined to play Amartey over Raph.
I know it's an unpopular opinion around these parts, but I'm not sure Raphinha gets returns against Utd in GW1.

Once again I'm lining myself up to get burned by roulette. Thoughts on (too) risky vs. safe?
    A) Havertz, Torres
    B) Havertz, Barnes
    C) Son, Soucek (-0.5 ITB)
