The most-anticipated Premier League fixture of the weekend sees reigning champions Manchester City take on Tottenham Hotspur, as Nuno Espirito Santo begins his reign as manager. (We’ll be following the match live and discussing key points in a live YouTube watchalong).

For the home team, Harry Kane (£12.5m) misses out completely with Son Heung-min (£10.0m) set to lead the line in his absence.

The South Korean international has impressed during pre-season and has an excellent record against Man City. In fact, he has only scored more goals in all competitions against Southampton.

Japhet Tanganga (£4.5m) starts at right-back, a role he was trialled in during last weekends friendly win against Arsenal, alongside Davinson Sanchez (£4.5m), Eric Dier (£4.5m) and Sergio Reguilón (£5.0m).

Dele Alli (£6.5m) features from the off, too, with new arrivals Bryan Gil (£6.0m) and Cristian Romero (£5.0m) both having to settle for a place on the bench.

As for Manchester City, new signing Jack Grealish (£8.0m), owned by 24.4% of Fantasy Premier League (FPL) managers, starts for the visitors in north London, with Riyad Mahrez (£9.0m), Ferran Torres (£8.0m) and Raheem Sterling (£11.0m) completing the forward line.

Kevin De Bruyne (£12.0m), meanwhile, is on the bench with John Stones (£5.5m) and Kyle Walker (£5.5m), while Phil Foden (£8.0m) misses out with a foot injury as expected.

Kick-off at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium is at 16.30 BST.

Think people should save the FT and then look at ways to bring in Son for GW3 if he still looks like the best captaincy option by then

Benrahama won't outscore Raphinha over 5 GWS. If Magnus was to chase last weeks points, based on your advice, he probably won't be the chess champion of the world 😉

Are you having a laugh? He's the best 6.5 mid in FPL at one of the most attacking PL sides this year with decent fixtures up next (even if he happens to miss or play 60 in the Liverpool fixture, GW4 which is what I assume you allude to as "news")

Even if Raphinha does do well that doesn't mean your echo chamber approach to this forum has been validated but I will be interested to see what the chess champion does, given that was your question and not whether Raphinha does well.

The one thing you're missing is that you both have three 4.0 defenders, two of whom may well lose their places so that extra .5 will be very useful. Magnus I'm sure knows this, you, not so much...

No chance buddy. Tsimikas is the best value 4.0 in FPL ever. He will start at least until the IB break, and is likely to get returns. Amartey will be 4.2 by the time he loses his spot, netting me an extra 0.1 when I eventually switch him to Hoever.

We both know this, and that's why Magnus is the chess champion of the world and I finished in the top 3k last season. And you, not so much... I see you've conveniently gone and unlinked your team now 😀

I've never linked my team, no idea what that has to do with anything. You seem to be literally arguing over what a man we've both never met will do with his fantasy football team. And both of our arguments are based on what we would do with the same team. I know this, you not so much.

And yes you're right Tsimikas and Amartey will both lose their spots, the latter probably this gameweek now Vestergaard has been signed. And your other 4.0 Omobamidele was never a sure starter and still very much isn't.

Some people's lives are obsessed with people they've never met and wouldn't give them the time of day or imaginary fantasy football points. I wouldn't worry about it, just feel sorry for them and move on!

I agree, I haven't kept in touch with pre-season football but I can bet everything on Omobamidele keeping his spot.

Farke likes to play the back 3, and he can't do that without Omo- making him the most assured 4.0 starter in the long term. You probably won't know this already, but he started all of their games towards the end of the season and is a shoo-in to play when he's fit

Strange GW this. In most weeks, I would be happy with 87 but when your mini league rivals are on 100+, you get mixed feelings. Anyhow was considering Son to Pogba before this game but now it would be insane to do so?

It would be off the charts insane regardless of today

The logic was to free up some funds and upgrade either Raphina or Nacho. Now I feel hard pressed not to do so.

sell son? are you sure about that? wolves look like the perfect team for him to haul against with their high line, advanced wingbacks and slow cbs

Wolves and Watford are great games, and Son scored today. If Kane goes to City he's on pens too. ???

I’m tempted by Lucas, Pogba or Benrahma in place of potentially injured Gundo.

Pogba could be worth it for SOU game alone. I would expect position change when Sancho and Cavani start playing.
Lucas on the other hand looks like a nice punt considering his incoming fixtures.
Benrahma may have Lingard alike season in that positions, also good incoming fixtures with LEI potentially a goal fest.

Overall, probably Benrahma looking the most reasonable pick but what do I know…?

Benrahma for me. West Ham is very attacking team, Pogba is good choice too, but he is more expensive (1.5m). Lucas, idk.

Playing team next week as is :-
    Sanchez
    TAA,Tsimikas,Shaw
    Salah,Fernandes, Barnes,Benrahma,Gundogan
    Ings, Toney

    Foster,Periera,White,Perica 0.5m itb.

    Saving FT

This decision might be taken out my hands if Gundo is out next week.
Keep Periera benched against West Ham?

Yeh it’s a “might” and I have Periera and White as cover.

Ideally I want to move Gundo later to a 4.5m and upgrade Ings to Lukaku.
