Who are the best FPL captain options for Gameweek 6?

Fantasy Premier League (FPL) managers have three main captain candidates for Gameweek 6, with Cristiano Ronaldo (£12.7m), Mohamed Salah (£12.6m) and Michail Antonio (£7.9m) all in the conversation.

First, we will assess the fallout of the Gameweek 6 captain poll, before then analysing the best options, Rate My Team (RMT) and the Premier Fantasy Tools ratings ahead of Saturday’s 11:00 BST deadline.

THE CAPTAIN POLL

Ronaldo dominates the vote so far.

The Portuguese forward, who has produced four goals in three starts since re-signing for Manchester United, has gained 47.57% of total votes from our users at the time of writing.

Meanwhile, second-placed Salah has received 27.72% of votes ahead of his away match against Brentford.

Antonio occupies third place with 7.98%, with the top-five list completed by Romelu Lukaku (£11.6m) and Bruno Fernandes (£11.9m), with 3.52% and 2.35% respectively.

      I think he's guilty and don't like him as a person.

      But I'd pick Benjamin Mendy or Adam Johnson if they'd get me FPL points.

      Me not picking Ronaldo in FPL makes no difference whatsoever in getting justice for his actions.

    Anyone else waiting until GW8 to bring in Lukaku? 2 week international break but Belgium are playing France in the Semi's of Nations league on 7th Oct, will be a tough match. How many price rises will Lukaku have between now and then? 0.3M rise? Also with International breaks puts me off getting players early because of possible injuries.

    It’s funny how you tend not to remember when your ‘gut feeling’ was wrong

    Last week I really wanted to captain jota but in the end went ‘boring’ and capped salah

    Guarantee if jota hauled I’d be moaning all week about how I should have ‘trusted my gut’

    Tldr - slow day at work, don’t always trust your gut

    Can't really decide between Benrahma and Gallagher for the next few games. CP has two home games but really don't know how they will perform. Benrahma plays against weakened Leeds and has Brentford at home, could say that slightly better than Gallagher's.

    Get Benrahma now and monitor Gallagher?

          Actually, with that set-up you can still get a decent mid of £8m+ and Raphina + Sarr/Gallagher, etc. It doesn't have to be cheap mids necessarily
