Michail Antonio (£8.0m) looks set to become the most-selected forward in Fantasy Premier League (FPL) in the run-up to Gameweek 8, with Cristiano Ronaldo (£12.6m) hemorrhaging owners.

Antonio is also the highest-scoring player in his position, averaging 8.2 points per match.

West Ham United sit second-bottom of our Season Ticker for fixture difficulty over the next eight Gameweeks, however:

With that in mind, it’s worth a look at Antonio’s track record against the so-called ‘bigger’ clubs to see how he traditionally fares when the schedules get trickier.

We’re just examining Antonio during David Moyes’ second spell in east London here, which gives us not far off two years’ worth of data. It is only under his current boss that he has carved out a career as a bona fide centre-forward, having previously operated as everything from a right-back to a left-winger under former head coaches.

Our thanks go to TopMarx for his dredging of the historic data for this piece.

ANTONIO v THE ‘BIG SIX’

Antonio’s record against the traditional Premier League elite in the second coming of Moyes is very decent indeed, with nine attacking returns in 14 appearances.

It’s even better when we look at his last 10 run-outs, a period that coincides with West Ham’s upturn in form at the back-end of 2019/20.

In those games, Antonio averages 6.0 points per match and has only blanked on three occasions.

The West Ham striker scored against Manchester City home and away last season and produced a 12-point haul in his previous meeting with Chelsea, although has yet to face the meaner, Thomas Tuchel incarnation of the Blues.

Hope it works out, I’d stick with what you got too.

      Cancelo for sure.
If you do Rudiger > Chilwell can you get Doucoure and Luiz/Brownhill?

Think with Livra and Duffy you’ve got great cover for a Chillwell rest.

I don’t like playing ESR every week so Doucoure would be preferred to me.

Not bad for a team with Vardy in it!

      3/10.

Too many rest/rot issues for some of them. Torres, KDB, Chilwell - that's too much money to be sitting out.

That forward line is the worst I've seen. Too much money in midpark when there are much cheaper and effective options available e.g. Benny, Raphina, et al.

Keep as it is for the next GW to roll a transfer. Ronnie and Pogba will do ok at Leicester. Then go to Lukaku and Foden week after. Defence is all good. Get rid of Sarr week after that.

There's been some really good international games this week. Both the Nation League semi-finals were excellent and last night's Czech Rep v Wales game was very good too. Dan Ward's og probably the most bizarre og ever.

Interesting article (can't read in full though)

Imo Antonio is an easy hold, especially for us non WCers, however like someone else put it, you can possibly find similar if not better points from other players when the fixtures turn in GW11 or 13, until 17. Look at Toney, ASM (GW14-17), Hwang/Jimmy (13/14) or even Ings/Watkins' fixtures during the same span. There might be a case to skip him for better potential elsewhere.

As someone who plan to WC in gw19, I plan to ditch him in GW13, and buy him in gw18 (NOR) as the best 1 week punt (at least), before I WC. Here's hoping for a smooth sailing journey.

      On the cost of Townsend/Doucoure.

Jota not nailed enough to transfer in IMO. And Gallagher loosing his set pieces to Milli also make him less hot, reduced output the last matches

I did tfrs early and cost a -4. Price fluctuation and longer term planning for me.
I needed to consider 4 tfrs. Out Jota TAA Sarr Alonso and in Son Raphina Azpi Cancelo
I chose Alonso/Cancelo and Sarr/Raphina with Tierney and Livramento as bench cover.
Would you guys have chosen different?

I have gone Alonso/Cancelo, have bench cover & we all know they are capable of big numbers.

Not enjoyable watching the games not owning when they are on the pitch.

Most wild-carders have enough wriggle room timewise not to feel the need to press the button yet, so are making genuine transfers.

We as in FFS? all i know is most big sites in FPL have some link in some way. I would think it is a definite "to talk about" subject. Without getting into the nitty gritty I would imagine running for cover sends a very bad message.

Just another example of an outfit that its users have lost trust in. And once the trust is gone it isn't easy to get it back. Tough times ahead for them.

There must be account holders and vested interests with many sites such as this, FF Fix etc. What about third hand secuity?

Hub did their own "security", hence the issue. Scout outsources that part to a competent supplier and always has

Yep. If I fail to protect myself from hackers it is on me, but when someone is paid for a service they are almost as guilty as the hackers IMO. If I were a big site content creator I would be talking to people wright now. Something like this won't go away; they will by guilty by association. Talk about it FFS!

I had no idea it was such a huge business. $1.4m from subscriptions alone. I don't know if it followed the poor example of this site and profited from links to gambling sites or all those trick alternative fantasy football games that are fronts for gambling, but some of these sites must be making obscene profits.

It's a disaster for all involved really.

It must have felt like a tornado had just swept through the business premises for the founder and other people that would have depended on the site to make a living.I did not frequent the place myself but i have seen the founder Will Thomas on youtube shows and he seemed like a nice man who loves the fpl game and community. You have to feel sorry for him and his team even if they were probably a bit naive in the realms of internet security for the sites users.

One of my mates rang me during the week explaining that his data was leaked and also said that his password security practice was terrible and he used the same login credentials across many sites. His twitter account had an unauthorized login after the leak happened. At least his fpl team and history was not wiped though.

If any good is to come out of the saga it is that people will take their password security more seriously.
Twitch was hacked during the week too and 120gb of user data was leaked which is huge.
These things are all too common these days unfortunately and people need to be aware of how to help protect themselves and their data.

I hear you loud and clear, but this situation is usually created by "clicks" and sharing client information. I would like an honest answer if he was naïve or Collaborating with other sites to make a quick buck. If he was and cannot say he was, then all must come out with the truth. AND I MEAN ALL!

FF Hub was one of those sites I joined but not as a subscribed member. AFAIK my compromised details were my email address and password that I only used for that site, so no real problem. However, it has led me to ask FF Hub to delete all my details as I leave the site fully (which they have) and in addition I've deleted my details from other Fantasy football sites I bookmarked but rarely/never logged into. I'm now focused on this site and LiveFPL, and no others that ask for my details. I can follow links on Twitter and Youtube where they grab my interest; I don't really see the necessity of subscribing to multiple sites these days.

It is a compulsive disorder. The irony is the betting market makes a beeline for this type of site and the worse part is the sites embrace it.

      I wouldn't go Benrahma & Antonio given WHU's upcoming fixtures/congression.

Benrahma to Mbeumo leaving MITB to upgrade one of the premium defenders to TAA in the future. I'd also start White over Liva.
