Fantasy Football Scout wins ‘best editorial’ at Football Content Awards 2021

Fantasy Football Scout has been voted as the ‘best editorial’ in Fantasy Football for 2021.

Scout scooped the accolade at the Football Content Awards, which took place at the Royal Lancaster Hotel in London last week.

The competition in our category was fierce with Fantasy Football Hub, All About FPL, Planet FPL, Who Got The Assist?, Fantasy Football Fix, The Draft Society and Fantasy Football Geek all nominated.

We’d also like to congratulate FPL BlackBox and The FPL Wire for their fully deserved wins in the ‘best video’ and ‘best podcast’ categories, plus Let’s Talk FPL who took home the silver award.

But, most importantly, we are also hugely grateful for the ongoing support and interest (not to mention votes!) from our readers, viewers and listeners, who have for years helped us maintain our position as the number one resource for Fantasy Football.

We would not be where we are now without you, and we cannot thank you enough.

No honestly well done. The way you solved that case linking the dead clown with a pink finger nail up his bum to the nun that worked part time at manicurist for the blind was incredible.

Not to forget the case where the priest went missing, and after intense search, was found in a motel in Prague with the girl he met in Brazil.

Yeah he's been excellent for them and will be a big miss, kind of glad I got rid of Gray now, doesn't even look like DCL and Richarlison will be back this weekend either so attacking options are dwindling

    Good for one more week?

    Sanchez (Foster)
    Cancelo, Rudi, Livra (White, Veltman)
Salah (v), Son, Sarr, Gray, ESR
    Lukaku, Antonio (ASM)

Every week I want to use my WC but all I can think of is sideways moves such as Antonio, ESM, Sarr to Vardy, Hwang, Sarr and then don’t think it is worth it.

I'm not all that sold on him either, but I understand people here love him. I got him in on WC mostly due to the lack of alternatives at the price range and now without Doucoure there's one less option

I will most likely do Doucoure to Mbeumo. Also thinking about going heavy 4 at the back 442 meaning Antonio or DCL may have to go. Premium defenders looking better than mid priced midfielders.

Congratulations team!! Maybe someone on this thread can answer this for me?
Right folks I need some help please. I’ve got 2 teams in one of my wife’s Leagues and one of them is in loads of money Leagues, but I’m convinced they’re cheating. They appear to have their teams linked to some sort of App that automatically does their team and transfers, as both teams are identical and their transfers are all done in the early hours at exactly the same time (32 over the season at exact times and both in same place in the world after 8 weeks). To me that’s cheating and I don’t see the point if you’re not going to do your own team. Anyone know how they’re doing it please? Cheers!

In the grand scheme of things no not really. (164000 in world although I’d be happy with that). But they are doing very well in their Leagues and are top of the school kids League which pi55es me off tbh… one is normally good and the other 1 not so, hence the alarm bells ringing a few weeks ago

I also don’t see the point in doing a team and letting someone else do it all season.. totally bizarre. Why bother if you’re clearly not into it?

    Afternoon all,

Saka and Tierney seriously let me down last night! Was expecting a nice jump up the ranks.. but oh well!

    Any suggestions on the below would be much appreciated;

    Sanchez
    TAA Cancelo Tierney
    Salah Saka(*) Greenwood Rahpinha
    Lukaku(C) Antonio Jimenez

    Livra Williams Sissoko

1 FT 1m in the bank.

Thinking Greenwood is the glaring option here. Maybe Greenwood to Foden?

    Thank you!

Greenwood to Foden looks good, but wait for champions league games before making the transfer. Or you could put Mbuemo in and upgrade Tierney to Chelsea defender.

Livra, you will be loosing out on maximum 6 points. However, the odd of him keeping a CS is more than Jimenez or Townsend scoring but they have more odds of hauling, so more at risk benching the attackers

Broja an interesting pick. Looked good at the weekend but with Adams, Armstrong, Redmond, etc. all competing for two forward positions is he too much of a risk? The next four fixtures are great if he can hold down a starting spot.

I'm tempted on a WC but leaning towards spending the extra on Edouard who has a longer run of good fixtures through to GW20 (barring City in GW10).

Will be interesting to see if he keeps his place with Foden, KDB and Gundogan available now

Spot on. They've literally ended the careers of generational players - Falcao and Alexis Sanchez come to mind. They almost ended Lukaku and Di Maria's too. Took Depay years to recover and become the star player for Netherlands we all knew he'd become. Zaha never recovered.

Bellingham shouldn't come back to England for any club other than City, Chelsea and Liverpool right now

Sanchez?! United didn't end his career, he did that himself. Di Maria didn't want to be in England anyway and lost it when his house got burgled (terrific player though). Lukaku was decent but never great at United and Zaha seems to have recovered okay actually. I take your overall point though in truth, we do not have a coaching setup that improves players. Will be interesting to see how Dan James does under Bielsa.

How long do we think Duffy will keep his place? Webster back soon. Lamptey made his first appearance off the bench so Veltman could move into the back 3. Has Duffy done enough to make himself first choice alongside Dunk?

I'm learning my lesson from James Justin last year.

Pick up these budget guys and play them until they no longer start. They can sometimes put together some strong performances and keep their place.

I think it's Duffy's spot to lose. Veltman looks like the one who could miss out going forward.

Been trying to hold my WC for a bit longer but think it has to happen now, do you guys agree this team needs more than a triple transfer and -4?

Would probably be looking to bring in Ramsdale, TAA, Mbuemo, Lukaku and will have a fair bit left to spend...

    Sanchez / Foster
    Cancelo, rudiger, Semedo, white, livramento
    Salah, Greenwood, grealish, Raphinha, Benrahma
    Ronaldo, Antonio (obafemi)

    1. Nate(U)dog(ie)
      • 3 Years
      2 years, 5 months ago

I don't think you'd need a WC, I'm guessing 4 transfers would be -8? You could keep Sanchez (he has 2 rough fixtures but good ones after that), then something like:

      Ronaldo to Lukaku
      Greenwood to Mbuemo
      Semedo to TAA

      1. Toothis
        • 3 Years
        2 years, 5 months ago

Yeah that is exactly what I'm umming and ahhing over. But West hams fixtures aren't great either... Don't want to take a -8 but happy to do the odd -4 if it let's me hold my chips for longer.

Last year I had triple spurs when their game got postponed for covid and it wrecked my season a bit! So I'm keen to stay as flexible a sposs for as long as poss.

Just don't want to lose ground to the new template. Still unsure on Lukaku tbh so maybe I'll punt up to kdb or son too.

That sounds fair on not having too many eggs in one basket, I'm always of the same opinion and find it keeps things varied too. Honestly I think a -8 is fine in this scenario if it means keeping your WC, those 3 changes are pretty significant ones and if you downgrade Grealish or Benrahma you could upgrade Obafemi to a playing striker next week (maybe Broja if it looks like he might get fairly regular starts)

    Fellow Reece James owners...

What do we do if he plays the UCL game tomorrow and then doesn't start vs NOR? I can cover with Livra this week if he's a no-show but the fact James puts up random cameos is very frustrating and if he doesn't start NOR he becomes a bit of a problem pick going forward.

My personal view is James and Alonso get easier fixtures. At 5.5 not the end of the world if he does not okay. Most of us have a cheap enabler. I think we cannot afford to have a 4.5 mid or forward though if we pick wing backs in general. I think Chalobah has been the best Chelsea defender over the last few weeks, outside of the keeper of course.

    5. CBonci

I would strongly consider shipping him at that point, and if I wanted to keep a Chelsea wingback I’d move to Chilwell (currently on Azpi and James due to Rudi injury news prior to GW8). His potential is massive but he’s so frustrating to own and I can’t trust Tuchel at the moment to optimize his attack. I am saving a FT this week to address any concerns like that.

I think between injury and suspension we've not seen the best of him yet. Still think he'll end up being the best of their fullback choices.
