Brighton and Hove Albion v Brentford brings Boxing Day’s Premier League action to a close, with kick-off at the Amex Stadium at 20:00 GMT.

Graham Potter makes four changes from Gameweek 17 with Adam Webster, Adam Lallana, Alexis Mac Allister and Neal Maupay replacing Joel Veltman, Solly March, the suspended Yves Bissouma and Aaron Connelly.

Brighton captain Lewis Dunk misses out with a knee injury that could keep him out until late January, while Shane Duffy is absent from the matchday squad.

As for Brentford, Ivan Toney starts, having made his return as a substitute against Chelsea on Wednesday, with Rico Henry and Vitaly Janelt dropping out with a minor hamstring issue and Covid-19 respectively.

FPL should consider allowing us to free transfer any player in teams where match called off due to COVID. FPL Scotland doing this provided 50% of games in the game week postponed

Everyone else in top 20 of the cash league I'm in has used their first wildcard, several have used a free hit too. I've just activated mine.

Should I be looking to make revolutionary changes given a lot of people will be free hitting in GW22 anyway or just trying to fix a couple of issues and trying to keep a consistent team with everyone around me? I definitely need to move out my front 3, bring back Salah and get a second playing keeper.

I'm thinking of moving to:

Ramsdale (Sanchez)
TAA - Cancelo - Dias - Dalot - Lowton
Salah - Son - Jota - ESR - Skipp
Ronaldo - Broja - Gelhardt

Currently have:

What do we think FPL will do to try and help navigate this mess? Is there anything they can realistically do or should we just accept this is how the game is for the next few months?

There was some vocal complaints about the extra free hit, although it was probably the only reasonable solution even with its flaws.

Been playing the game since 2006, so had my share of FPL frustrations, but these past few weeks are amongst the least fun I've had. Can't imagine how frustrated those who go shafted by the deadline crash today are feeling.

Maybe pushing the deadline closer to kick off til this tides over would help some what?

  It is tough but everyone is in the same boat. I didn’t agree with the additional FH chip getting added because where do you draw the line now? Can’t issue one every time a game is cancelled. A lot of people wouldn’t have used their FH this week if they didn’t have an additional one to fall back on and those that used it already had to suck it up while they all jumped 40+ points this week.
  
  Pushing deadline is not the answer either. Rotation and players being benched is a huge aspect of the game and it wouldn’t be fair for people in different time zones having to wake in the middle of the night to check line ups.

  Yeah it's just not fun anymore. There's a sweet spot of how much carnage is tolerable, and we're past that. Bet there are some people who are absolutely loving it, though!
  
  Wouldn't have thought they could change the rules mid-season, but the extra FH chip has done that somewhat anyway.
  
  I'd be happy with an extra transfer each week (or hits being reduced to -2), but I don't think that's feasible.

Guys is it not wise to go with 2 playing keepers

Rather than ditch Ramsdale I am going to bring in Sanchez for current fodder as for the rest of the season they rotate almost perfectly & cover each other for BGWs in 24,25 & 27.

Arsenal & Brighton both have 3 DGWs as well to capitalise on now which will not necessarily fall at the same time

Finally any game could be pulled so having 2 keepers should be a no brainier.
