FPL Gameweek 20 preview and team plans with Mark and Luke

Mark and Luke look ahead to Gameweek 20 of Fantasy Premier League (FPL) in a bonus video over on our YouTube channel.

The pair discuss Boxing Day’s deadline drama, their decision to opt against playing the Free Hit in Gameweek 19 and when they plan to deploy one of these two allocated chips in the future.

Manchester City rotation roulette, Bernardo Silva‘s (£7.6m) blanks and the pair’s plans for Aaron Ramsdale (£5.1m) are also on the agenda.

    Probably doing Steele and Lacazette to Broja and de Gea -4.

    Is it worth doing Foden to Son for another -4? If Foden starts he could do well but Son is a better option over the coming weeks.

    Salah Dennis or KDB Maupay on WC?

    Would do both those moves in the next 2 weeks anyway, but think Leicester is a great fixture for Salah and Dennis is in way better form than King so want to hold him as long as possible

              Hmm, tricky one. I sold Salah and Dennis for Son and Broja last week. Salah could haul… but so could Son and KDB. I think it would be fine to book in the Salah transfer, but not both. Nowhere else you could shave off a little extra cash for Salah and King?

    Still listening to many from the community and podcasts frankly bedwetting over the site crashing so they could not hang on for team leaks before the official deadline (team news is not supposed to be released before the deadline. Its frankly (again) a form of cheating (unofficial or official)) as not everyone has the same access to the leaks, and they should not be leaked. It is something that needs stamping down on.

    Also obvious that you get IT spikes at certain times and the site nearly crashed a few weeks back. No such thing as bad luck if you got affected by this.

      A crash will still upset a lot of people playing it clean. Personally trying to avoid the -right before- decitions but this and last season is special due to covid canceling matches close to deadline.

    Would you sell Bernardo (and squeeze in Son for a hit) or just leave him for another week and possibly save the FT?

      Everyone is selling this week but I feel like keeping Bernardo one GW more. I feel like the City mid most likely to get a rest is KDB (body breaking down etc), so Bernardo stands a good chance of playing right-centre mid & getting in the box more vs Brentford
