We at Fantasy Football Scout are always keen to hear feedback and learn from our site readers, podcast listeners and YouTube viewers, so we’ve put together another mid-season survey for you to have your say.

You might remember the end-of-season survey that we carried out before the start of 2021/22. We were delighted to get over 1,000 responses to that, and it’s been absolutely crucial in helping us move things forward and to see where we stand.

Following up on that, we’d greatly appreciate it if you could spare 15 minutes or so filling by filling out this latest min-questionnaire which can be accessed by clicking here.

Separately, if you’ve used the Fantasy Football Scout Transfer Planner since its implementation a few months ago, there’s a separate survey for that here. This one will take less than five minutes to complete.

    Hey folks.....no bruno during the last utd dgw was a real rank killer.

    What would you do if you had a double utd def (ddg + dalot) + ron.

    A: Coufal + Gundog >> Lamptey + Salah..along with 3 utd players i have
    B: Ddg + Gundog >> Sanchez + Bruno...and then bruno > salah in gw26

    Is this mf 5 too much?
    Salah-Jota-Kdb-Foden-Bowen

    Means my front 3 would be.
    Watkins - King - Broja

    But I'd only need to start Watkins most weeks playing a 4-5-1.

    Salah could be Bruno for the dbl gw, and switch to Mo after its done.

      All about mid and def , i wont be spending more then 8 mil on a striker unless things changes

      i like it mate, id swap foden for mount once che is back after blanks very good fixtures

      this is pretty much my planned structure to the end of the season (blanks/double aside). If you lock in king/broja to fight it out with 4th defender for starting spot, then you can rotate the 'Watkins' slot based on form and fixtures as a few options in that bracket.

      you will only be 2ft from premium striker should things change too

    What’s the love of Watkins over Antonio?

    Even though everyone has been disappointed by antonio he’s still comfortably outscoring Watkins

    His stats are still good as well and he has 3 plum fixtures coming up, If a Watkins double does appear, it’s an easy swap

    I’m on wildcard and probably keeping Antonio over Watkins

      3 reasons off the top of my head.

      - Better fixtures
      - Has outscored Antonio over the last 10, despite playing Man City, Liverpool, Chelsea, Brighton, Man Utd etc
      - Antonio already looked leggy, now has to play for Jamaica during the winter break

        I’d say that’s slightly selective stats picking seeing as all the stat tables are set up for last 6 in which he’s blanked in 5 including a plum fixture against man United 😀

          It's hardly a fair comparison when Antonio has played Leeds, Palace, Watford + Southampton during that six game run, compared to Everton, Chelsea, Liverpool and Leicester.

          Watkins is far from perfect, but I can see why people are going for him ahead of Antonio.

            So can I mate, and didn’t meant it to sound as if I wasn’t open to swapping or to the notion of it

            I just think West Ham are a more free scoring side and Antonio is still a slightly better choice

              is it not down to the fact that everyone now has Bowen so spreading the risk a little - as a Watkins owning, Villa ST holder he has been very frustrating of late!

              Ah not at all mate, I'm always up for a discussion, as I see pros/cons to them both.

              Re the 10-game sample thing, I went for that simply cause of Gerrard coming in, new role etc.

        The fixtures are actually the same over the next 3 except they have Newcastle instead of Leicester which I think is debatable right now which is the better game for a striker

      Yet guys show me now someone who has the luxury of doing Antonio to Watkins if not on a WC

      For me, and I have both at the moment, I'm keeping Watkins as I also have bowen, and he's my preferred west ham option, and a bit cheaper.

      Downgrading Antonio to cheaper gives the funds needed to get salah back in. If that wasn't a concern, and bowen wasn't in my team or an option id probably keep Antonio.

      But bowen is there, and salah needs to be funded, so rather bowen and Watkins vs double hammer attack.

        My 2 cents is I'd prefer Antonio I think, over Watkins. Because Gerrard is defence first/game management style manager and so his team's will cap at 2-0 say, then see the game out, whereas WH are more free scoring and can cap at say 4-1. So if Antonio can rediscover his mojo, and fixtures being equal, then Antonio should have a higher points ceiling

    A) Bruno ➡️ Salah

    Not sure if I should hold Bruno for the double or get Salah back. Already have Ronaldo as captaincy option for DGW25 makes me think I should get Salah(c) for GW24.

      No way I'd sell Bruno if I already had him now that he has the double. I think he's a better captaincy than Ronaldo too.

          I would. Bruno also has Burnley, so it's Bruno SOU and BHA or Salah Leics. No way I'd sell Bruno yet, I'd rather take a hit to get Salah if I really wanted him..

            Impossible to get Salah without selling Bruno/Ronaldo in my set up. Plus captaincy is a headache for this week id be forced to cap one of the United players against Burnley.

                Yeah not the worst options I guess could consider Jota/Foden as well but Salah/KDB seem like the standout options.

                Are you planning to go without Salah too? I see you have Ronaldo + Kane.

          Keeping my fingers crossed for Salah making it to the semis so hes in africa until the 7th. Im not saying he wont play on the 10th. But i think there is sufficient doubt in my mind to prevent me bringing him in. Currently i have CR7 and De Gea. I plan to bring Bruno in next week for triple United. I wont be bring Mo in until 25 earliest. This could be later if Spurs double the following, as ill be captaining one of Kane or Son that week.

            Yeah there would be some doubts around him starting if they do reach the Semis but you would imagine he starts if he's back on the 8th.

            I wouldn't mind having Bruno & Ronaldo for GW25 and then sell them for Son & Kane in GW26.

            But if you don't get Salah this you won't have him till GW26 or GW27 (if Spurs double in 26) at the earliest. Surely you would go Bruno over Salah in GW25 if bringing one that week?

              Exactly. I wont captain Salah when likes of CR7 Bruno Kane Son all have doubles. So im not looking have him for the next 3 as its a huge chunk of budget for someone you wont captain. Im not saying this wont backfire. But its where my mind is

          It's tough for sure but spreading the funds across a strong midfield is more viable with Foden. Also he's been playing F9 recently - only a matter of time before he returns big in the upcoming fixture run imo.

    Ait Nouri > Dalot

    This would give me DDG, Dalot and Ronaldo for DGW25

    Good idea or should I get a Brighton player in for max 4.5M or don't make any transfers?

      Keep faith with Ait Nouri and hold for as long as possible. Double Utd defence is a risk - even with the double.

      Yeah, I mocked up a team that can do it yesterday but you'll need similar TV to mine (I'm on like 106ish) or face really compromising your squad (mine was fairly compromised in doing so).

      Actually sorry, I did it with Kane, not Ronaldo. With Ronaldo I'm 0.1 short which would mean losing Martinelli and needing a 5.3

      Seeing as you only want a maximum of three captain options (imo) and probably no more than two, spending that money to upgrade value players to premium is not a good use of funds.

      just tried this for a laugh and see what i can come up with, i had to lose TAA + Cancelo to make it work (which already makes it not worth it imo), but other than that it doesn't look too bad, i had exact funds for this with my TV

    Is Ronaldo a better option than Kane whilst being on a WC?

    I'll have Bruno in any case and getting Salah in isn't an issue.

    I guess I'm comparing Kane (Southampton, Wolves, (potentially a DGW with City) vs Burnley, Southampton, Brighton, Leeds).

    I'm a United fan and I think we're kinda crap up top so I whilst I want to attack, I don't want to go overboard.

      On form its a coin flip rn. I'd maybe err on the side of Kane just because of the way I'm seeing Ron being roped into more of a team mentality when Utd play and the way his gametime is being metered - these take away his edge imo, even with those fixtures coming up.

        Got a CR7-shaped problem in my team as well and also fear game time. But still hesitant, have the feeling no matter what I do I'll make the wrong choice. One thing pointing in favour of keeping is that it will be an easy swap to Kane for possible Spurs DGW

    Will centre backs become a dying breed in fpl terms in coming seasons? With the rise of the wing backs and their points potential I can see them becoming less and less prevalent in our teams?

    Has anyone considered a SGW bench boost somewhere down the line, to free up flexibility with their wildcard?

    Looking at SGW31 myself, keeping my two remaining free hits to cover DGWs. The stars just seem to align that week, will minimal fuss - and DGW bench boosts are usually a letdown anyway.

    Not keen on going NO Salah, he's back in my team from GW24.

        Probably King and Reguilion out for a utd def + maupay.

        KDB>Bruno is an option but not sure I want treble utd even with a dgw given our form and also Bruno popularity is skewed by recency bias

          Sounds good to me, I'm a bit gutted I still own CR7 as he was going to go but now with the DGW he will have to remain, I believe Bruno will only do well when Ronaldo doesn't start, so ill be looking at 2 United DGW players only and one will probs be DDG
