Stevie of EyeTestFPL picks out the Burnley attacking Fantasy Premier League (FPL) options that have caught his attention ahead of Double Gameweeks 26 and 27, using ‘eye test’ screenshots and information from our Premium Members Area.

Burnley have a ‘double-double’ during Gameweeks 26 and 27, which makes their attacking assets worthy of consideration. Sean Dyche is known for a certain playing style and some of their forwards may be very suited to this mentality.

Wout Weghorst (£6.5m)

New signing Wout Weghorst is currently flagged after taking a knock on his knee against Liverpool in Gameweek 25 but, with Dyche providing a positive update on his fitness, he is a great option to consider for the next two Gameweeks.

Weghorst seems to have a knack at making runs through the channel. Jay Rodriguez apparently took up the wrong option by playing a more difficult pass to Maxwel Cornet in this above example but, if he played it to Weghorst, the big Dutchman could have easily been through on goal against Manchester United.

Having a good sense of positioning around the penalty area, Weghorst waited for Harry Maguire to peel away from him, eventually creating space in the wide channel.

We were also given a nice little surprise when discovering he had some flair in him, despite his lanky physique. When Weghorst was surrounded with two Manchester United midfielders, instead of panicking, he calmly sidestepped the two midfielders before playing a great reverse pass to assist Rodriguez’s goal.

This ability to navigate through tight spaces should serve him well inside the penalty area, which he will occupy most of the time.

Weghorst was known for his high expected goals (xG) numbers in the Bundesliga but he has long-range shooting in his locker, too. He managed to draw a fingertip save from David De Gea from well outside the box.

Dyche will be pleased to see his signing adapting quickly to a new league. Against Liverpool, as Thiago put pressure on him, Weghorst used his strength to hold off his opponent before unleashing another confident attempt from distance.

Instead of finding it difficult to settle in the Premier League, Weghorst seems to be enjoying its physical nature.

Thinking ahead to GW27. Bruno would be worth keeping against Watford right? Replacing him with KDB could wait?

If you don't need the cash, then Watford is the sort of game you'd keep him for.

I’ve pretty much decided to keep, as opposed to doing a hit for Son

    Assuming my starting 11 is
    Ramsdale (BRE/WOL)
    TAA & Robbo (LEE/NOR)
    Cancelo (TOT)
    Digne (WAT)

    Mo (LEE/NOR)
    Bowen (NEW)
    Coutinho & Ramsey (WAT)
    Mahrez (TOT)

    Kane (mci/bur)

Is a bench of Foster (avl/CRY), AitNouri (LEI/ars), Edouard (CHE/wat) and Broja (EVE) asking to be boosted this GW, rather than follow the sensible money and back a Mo TC?

No hits taken so far, but given Mahrez, RAN & Edouard's rotation situation, would you take a -4 for a Burnley player? Not considering FH in 27.

    Many thanks

    Bottomed: Whoever isn't picked gets dropped for Salah. (If I lose KdB he comes back in GW28 on my wildcard - most likely - which means I lose a bit of value). So who do I keep;

    Bruno v Leeds
    Kevin v Spurs

For those of you fearing not putting the TC on Salah, how bad could it possibly be? He's likely to hit about 20 points max and that is all you miss out by because you'll likely have captained anyway

    1. Rowsdower
      • 6 Years
      3 years, 9 months ago

It's not as much about that as it is about that there is unlikely to ever be a better time to TC.

Don't think of it as Salah(c) vs. Salah(TC), think of it as Salah(TC) vs. any other possible TC.

It’s more about logic than fear. There’s a very good reason the vast majority are triple captaining Salah and it’s not because everyone else is.

    Bottomed

    Ramsdale
    Trent Cancelo Romero
    Salah Bruno Saka Bowen
    Dennis King Edouard

    Bench: DDG Pogba Laporte Tino

Took a hit to get the above. 8 doublers, and still have 11 for next week.

Should I take another to get Mane in for Bruno, then switch back next week?
Or maybe hit for Laporte to Robbo, and ditch him next week?
Or maybe just stick with he above? Feel like I want 3 pool this week.

Also, my bench is good, but not good enough to BB, right? Maybe if I replace Tino with an arsenal defender it would be?

      Hi man,

Bruno has 2 good fixtures coming up (Leeds & Watford) so if not free hitting in 27 I would not do it. Mane is a great differential but you might then want him out.

      1. Rowsdower
        • 6 Years
        3 years, 9 months ago

Good point. I definitely would want him out after this week.

I will not be free hitting in 27.

What do you think of the other options? Maybe Robbo? Or is that team good to go?

        1. Dammit_182
          • 4 Years
          3 years, 9 months ago

You already have your 3 pool/arsenal outfield players so to field 11 in 27 you can’t get in another player from those teams.

Dennis & king have a double and a chance of scoring but at some point need to go. Tough to take a hit for them this week though with a double.

Another -4 for 1 less player next week seems a lot.

Your 11 look good, particularly defence and mids.

          Good luck

            • 6 Years
            3 years, 9 months ago

Not quite. I have 2 pool 2 arsenal right now. Robbo/mane would be my third pool if I went for it.

Since I only have 4 I only need to get rid of one next week. If I add Robbo or mane, I will probably get rid next week.

Saints fixtures are on the turn for the good, but Tino might face a fight to get back in the team anyway. The trouble with getting a Pool or Ars defender is 27.
Maybe Tino to Mee, to give you an extra fixture in 27 as well?

      1. Rowsdower
        • 6 Years

If I did Tino to mee, I'd rather wait a week. I don't like Mee more than anyone I'm starting this week. Robbo maybe but not Mee. Two tough fixtures for Burnley this week.

Saka for the double.. or LIV's Dias?

Im struggling with options in mid as well, if you look below, going for son over kane because their isnt much other choice in mid unless u go for diaz which im not against could be a decent punt I think he starts one game for sure and shd get some mins in the other.

    Jota < saka
    Watkins < weghorst

    Surely worth -8 Y/N?

Jota to Saka definitely worth the hit imo. If not FHing in 27, seems Watkins to Weghorst is worth a hit (I asked the same question above)

Not FHing 27. Talks of Arsenal double in 28 aswell so more points gained surely makes the hit worth it.
Double double for wout bit of a punt. Means benching broja aswell

        Other option is Ollie

Which option should I go for ?

    Team is
    DDG* (Foster)
    Taa, Reg*, Cancelo (Dalot, Williams)
    Salah, Raph, Bowen, Jota*, Gray*
    Ronaldo*, Dennis (Watkins)

    A. Ronaldo, Jota, Gray, Reg - - Jimi, Son, Saka, Tierney -8
    B. Ronaldo, Jota, DDG, Reg - - Kane, Saka, Ramsdale, Tierney/Saiss -8
    C. Ronaldo, Jota, Gray, Reg - - Kane, Saka, Diaz, Tierney -8

or A plus DDG to Ramsdale for -12 total

Im FH 27 and deadend to GW30 probably WC 31-32

if Jota out - are you not considering bringing Van Dijk or Robo ?

      1. ZimZalabim

I did consider VVD but I want Arsenal def over a double up on Liverpool
so I thought Tierney is better option plus he plays in gw30

One other option was to get Vvd and Ramsdale and the other moves in A and take -12

With Robbo I dont think he starts both games so not considering him

Just did Diop, Jota > Robbo, Saka (-4).
DDG > Ramsdale worth another hit or G2G?
Both FH chips left so can use one next week.

    DDG
    TAA*, Robbo*, White*, Cancelo
    Salah*, Saka*, Bowen, Coutinho
    Dennis*, Ronaldo

    (Steele, Antonio, Dalot, Allan)

Would love that but have 0 ITB now! Looking at Arsenal and United’s upcoming fixtures make me think it’s worth it.

Play TC with this injury affected team, or FH and load up on dgw players?

    Ramsdale²
    Trent² Coady² Tierney² Cancelo
    Salah⁶ Bowen Coutinho B.Fernandes
    Dennis² Weghorst²*

    Sanchez Laporte Jota² Idah*

Alternatively take a hit with Jota > dgw player with a fixture in GW27?

      I have 2FH - probably use GW30 and a later dgw

No need to FH when you have 7 DGW players. Bench not that important in a DGW.

Yep. But the options are not that tempting to me: Zaha, Cornet, Raphina, Moura and JWP probably best DGWs for a straight swap.

When do we know if Arsenal and Chelsea have a double gw28/29? If very likely Im loading Arsenal and FH27, if not maybe better survive 27 and save FH.
