Stevie of EyeTestFPL picks out the Burnley attacking Fantasy Premier League (FPL) options that have caught his attention ahead of Double Gameweeks 26 and 27, using ‘eye test’ screenshots and information from our Premium Members Area.

Burnley have a ‘double-double’ during Gameweeks 26 and 27, which makes their attacking assets worthy of consideration. Sean Dyche is known for a certain playing style and some of their forwards may be very suited to this mentality.

Wout Weghorst (£6.5m)

New signing Wout Weghorst is currently flagged after taking a knock on his knee against Liverpool in Gameweek 25 but, with Dyche providing a positive update on his fitness, he is a great option to consider for the next two Gameweeks.

Weghorst seems to have a knack at making runs through the channel. Jay Rodriguez apparently took up the wrong option by playing a more difficult pass to Maxwel Cornet in this above example but, if he played it to Weghorst, the big Dutchman could have easily been through on goal against Manchester United.

Having a good sense of positioning around the penalty area, Weghorst waited for Harry Maguire to peel away from him, eventually creating space in the wide channel.

We were also given a nice little surprise when discovering he had some flair in him, despite his lanky physique. When Weghorst was surrounded with two Manchester United midfielders, instead of panicking, he calmly sidestepped the two midfielders before playing a great reverse pass to assist Rodriguez’s goal.

This ability to navigate through tight spaces should serve him well inside the penalty area, which he will occupy most of the time.

Weghorst was known for his high expected goals (xG) numbers in the Bundesliga but he has long-range shooting in his locker, too. He managed to draw a fingertip save from David De Gea from well outside the box.

Dyche will be pleased to see his signing adapting quickly to a new league. Against Liverpool, as Thiago put pressure on him, Weghorst used his strength to hold off his opponent before unleashing another confident attempt from distance.

Instead of finding it difficult to settle in the Premier League, Weghorst seems to be enjoying its physical nature.

Are any of these worth it:

    Bruno to Son
    Jota to Zaha/Coutinho
    Watkins to Weghourst?

Think Bruno could be worth keeping this week. Jota likely misses out, so I'd say sure, roll the dice. On form, yeah. Watkins has been very poor (not even just in FPL terms) - wouldn't be surprised if he gets dropped.

    Thoughts on below?

    Ramsdale
    TAA Cancelo White Digne
    Salah Fernandes Son Bowen Ramsey
    Weghorst

    DDG / Dennis / King / Antonio

Alternatively Son/White could be Saka/Saiss (or Robbo/Tierney, but extra BGW-er).

Looks solid, I'd do the same as you if I had this team and play Digne + Ramsey over Dennis + King

VVD or Robbo IN, and why?

Gut feel is Virg but Robbo higher baseline BPS the past few. Is this skewed because of more play down the left side when Mane/Mo were missing?

VVD likely to get more minutes in this double. Long term robbo is better.

I went with VVD on WC last week as I felt it was possible Robbo may get a test as he has a dependable backup in Tsimikas while VVD can't be replaced. He has a very solid points per game ratio this season too and could well pick up an attacking return.

Really I think it's about whether you think Robertson will play two games in-between 90 mins v Inter and a cup final or not. If you think he plays then go for him

        Thanks, good points
Wise for Klopp to give Tsimikas some game time, wouldn't even surprise to see him start the final. Like Kelleher will
I don't mind the extra 0.4m to spend elsewhere as my team value was never that high.
Don't think either of them will easily outscore the other rest of the season.

This worth a bench boost? Or sub someone for Dennis

    Foster
    TAA Robbo Cancelo Regs

    Jimenez Antonio

    Yup, I just did it a -12

    Out: Bruno/Reguilon/Jota/Rudiger

Had no Arsenal for this week, needed Mo and VVD for full Pool coverage, Reg was gonna drop and may not play both matches anyway.

My thoughts as well, but nervous cuz he's been in such great form. Plus I bought him at 7.5, so it'll cost me 0.5 to get back to him, if necessary in the future.

I bought at 7.7 - have to be prepared for not owning him til after the EFL final or not at all. The more cups they're in the more rotation imo.

Wish I had another 'Pool player, but not free-hitting in GW27, so gotta keep the blankers to max of 3.

would be hopeful for an attacking return

spurs out of form and their double isn't great but if not FH'ing 27 they do face leeds next week

Yep, think I'm getting him. Saka objectively better fixtures this DGW, but before the Jota injury I wasn't mad on getting an Arsenal attacker. Gone for a defensive double-up instead (White).

Spurs have struggled the last couple, but after Son has LEE/EVE - whilst Saka has [blank]/WAT. I can still get Saka in 28 if I want; alternatively Martinelli. Besides MUN (29) is a fine attacking fixture, I'll FH in 30 & NEW in 31 is good too.

Could back-fire massively but I'm getting a bit bored of following the herd & it'll be tricky for people to get Son next GW unless the sell Fernandes (WAT).

Places have been eager to highlight Saka 4 goals recently, but he's blanked the last 2 & had 2 blanks in there too. Momentum not as high. Goal Attempts/Chance Creation has been down apart from vs. BUR, but they are notably poor on that wing.

Trying to build a case, but who knows.

I am leaning towards the same... a choice on my Free Hit of either VVD or Jimi, and the thought is that VVD will definitely get a clean sheet from one of the two games, while betting on Jimi to score is more of a risk.

CORNET. Non owners in the mud!

Just trying it out for weekend … seems rather silly now it’s written down …

Would love it if you had to write this! Fingers crossed, with plenty of assists for Weg 🙂

I think Weg looks a safer bet at the mo if I was to go near Burnley

Anyone else like me do the WC24 (or earlier) and punt on both Olise and Edouard? Didnt realise Vieira loves Ayew so much. Thought at least one of those 2 would be regulars, both been in fine form stats wise. Ayew hasnt exactly been pulling up trees neither.

Nope, personally, I haven't owned a Palace player all season.

This. I'm really tempted to sell his for Weg for a hit as well

    What’s scores better:

    A) Ramsdale / White / Bruno
    B) Foster / Robertson / Saka

Taking a -12 this week and FH next week. B has more attacking upside assuming Robbo starts, A better defensive upside. Given I am bringing in Laca it kind of comes down to Arsenal defence (A) vs Arsenal attack (B) with Robbo vs Bruno a head scratcher...

    Rest of team will be:

    ? / (DDG)
    TAA / Cancelo / Digne / ?? / (Veltman)
    Salah / Bowen / Foden / Coutinho / ?
    Laca / (Broja) / (Richardson)

      ramsdale outscores foster
white over robertson who i doubt starts both
bruno and saka i expect similar scores

      Id go with A.
Ramsdale may be one of best scorers for the week IMO

    Repost for a new crowd

    Pick one:

    A: TC Salah
B: BB (DDG, Broja, Veltman, Digne)
    C: neither

On BB this week and thinking Bruno to Saka and Maupay to Kane for a -4 leaving 0.2 ITB unless anyone has a better suggestion?

    Pope Rams
    TAA Tierney Robbo Coady Regulion
    Cornet Bruno Salah Olise Cout
    Maupay King Weghost

Regulon is probably out, so maybe switch him out?

      Regulon>another wolves defender
      And still do Bruno> Saka.

That team looks awesome for this week!
