Stevie of EyeTestFPL picks out the Burnley attacking Fantasy Premier League (FPL) options that have caught his attention ahead of Double Gameweeks 26 and 27, using ‘eye test’ screenshots and information from our Premium Members Area.

Burnley have a ‘double-double’ during Gameweeks 26 and 27, which makes their attacking assets worthy of consideration. Sean Dyche is known for a certain playing style and some of their forwards may be very suited to this mentality.

Wout Weghorst (£6.5m)

New signing Wout Weghorst is currently flagged after taking a knock on his knee against Liverpool in Gameweek 25 but, with Dyche providing a positive update on his fitness, he is a great option to consider for the next two Gameweeks.

Weghorst seems to have a knack at making runs through the channel. Jay Rodriguez apparently took up the wrong option by playing a more difficult pass to Maxwel Cornet in this above example but, if he played it to Weghorst, the big Dutchman could have easily been through on goal against Manchester United.

Having a good sense of positioning around the penalty area, Weghorst waited for Harry Maguire to peel away from him, eventually creating space in the wide channel.

We were also given a nice little surprise when discovering he had some flair in him, despite his lanky physique. When Weghorst was surrounded with two Manchester United midfielders, instead of panicking, he calmly sidestepped the two midfielders before playing a great reverse pass to assist Rodriguez’s goal.

This ability to navigate through tight spaces should serve him well inside the penalty area, which he will occupy most of the time.

Weghorst was known for his high expected goals (xG) numbers in the Bundesliga but he has long-range shooting in his locker, too. He managed to draw a fingertip save from David De Gea from well outside the box.

Dyche will be pleased to see his signing adapting quickly to a new league. Against Liverpool, as Thiago put pressure on him, Weghorst used his strength to hold off his opponent before unleashing another confident attempt from distance.

Instead of finding it difficult to settle in the Premier League, Weghorst seems to be enjoying its physical nature.

Which combo do you like best?

    A. Saka/Kane
    B. Son/Laca

    It's for DGW26 only

    Ddg, Digne, Ramsey, DCL
    Vs
    TC Salah

    Foster
    TAA, Cancelo, Tierney, White
    Salah, Bruno, Saka, Bowen
    King, Antonio

Still not settled on the main issue for this gw.
I think BB36 will have massive rotation issues and TC on last day for the striker running for Best Scorer can be a backup plan.

I reckon that bench is 10 - 20 points so should cover Salah TC if you have captained him.

BB26 & TC36 could be better than TC26 & BB36 due to the respective rotation issues

I honestly can’t look past TC Salah. One player gets benched, Salah hits his average … and I wonder what I was thinking if I don’t TC.

    Two selections I'm mulling over.

    1. Smith-rowe? Not seeing him mentioned. Martenilli out so should start the first game?

    2. TAA (TC) to outscore Salah? Have both but Salah more likely to be rested due to better cover and no real rest since AFCON.

    Play 1 of:

    Edouard (CHE wat)
    Maupay (BUR)
    Broja (EVE)

Or move Edouard to Jiminez and play him?

Despite Edouard double, seems likely just one start. And who knows which one.

    Thanks!

VVD feels like the safe third spot pool player, but if Jota is out should Firmino not see quiet a few minutes combined in those GW26 fixtures?

    1. luk46
      • 7 Years

Robbo or VVD imo, could still be Salah uptop with Mane and Diaz or Jota starting vs Leeds

      1. Salarrivederci
        • 9 Years
        3 years, 9 months ago

Again VVD is the safe chioce.
Reckon Tsimikas, Mane and Diaz will get 1 start each while TAA, Salah and TAA will get two.
Not much in it besides Klopp rotating less than he could/should.
Firmino (in my opinion is just as likely for two starts as TAA and Salah if Jota is out).
A punt on FH for sure, bur could be one of those few GWs where Firmino goes mental

I think it makes sense, yet Firmino could just start one game and usually doesnt score at Anfield.
Since you’re playing FH (?), I’d actually go Virg due to set piece threat.

I’m considering this. I think it probably is if he’ll also play for you in 27, which he would got me.

But for me I’m also factoring in BB v TC. I won’t make the move if I TC, will just bench Jota. I won’t have a better time to BB than now, but arguably also the best time to TC…

Of coz he may, but Robbo could also play both. Only Klopp knows. If you believe Robbo is a rotation risk, then get a defender you believe is more nailed. Maybe double up on Arsenal.

Tc Salah vs. BB (-4 to sell Jota) is really tough.

If Salah hadn’t played full 90 in Europe it would be an easier decision I think. Selling Jota for BB also means I can field 11 next week without another hit.

Morning dzz, which chip strategy would you recommend

    A: WC28, FH30, FH33
    - Allows me to utilise a WC team over a longer period
    - Good fixture swings in 28
    - Not ideal for BB36 but foster/broja/liv have good 36 fix for bb
    - Unknown dgw's in 31-36

    B: FH27, FH30, deadend gw33 and WC34
    - Biggest (and only) concern is whether i can deadend in 33. How do i assess this?

B is massively overrated imo..people are tending to ignore so many single gws just for the lure of having 15 doublers in 36 especially when most teams stink with the likes of double Watford strikers etc

You reckon? Bruno is hardly inspiring and antonio jas been stinking out my team for about 6 months

Swopping tirds for turds isnt more justifiable in a dgw. They still arent good picks

Actually can afford just ddg and regs to robbo and ramsdale for a -4, playing bruno and ramsey

Go for VVD, Robbo plays only one game

Swooping turds is the thing of nightmares.

    Best option here

    A Tripple C Salah
B Bench Boost - Foster (avl, CRY) Broja (EVE) Laporte ( TOT) Veltman ( BUR)

With some question marks over Salah starting both and the fact that bench boost is nice to get out of the way I think I'm leaning towards B?

i think most are going TC salah. to be safe, i'd play that too. In case ur chasing, then bb could do well, but i'd still save for a bigger playing bench
